Sailboat Birthday

Good morning! A simple masculine birthday card today that I put together with a couple Unity Stamp Company stamp sets. One of those elusively simple guy cards!

I did a bit of very simple coloring on the sails to the boat, tore a bottom edge, and added some score lines and distress inking. Tucked some MFT plaid paper under the bottom edge and a few enamel dots to finish it off.

Here are links to the products I used on this including affiliate links where possible. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Sweet Runway Inspired Baby Card

Hello! I spent a few minutes today putting together a sweet baby card for the current Runway Inspired Baby Shower Challenge:
Here is the inspiration photo - isn't it sweet?

I used a Unity stamp from "Could I Be Any Cuter?" for the elephant, and stamped and embossed with Gold Zing embossing powder on PTI Rustic White cardstock. I scored the sides, then used distress ink on the edges to soften them a bit.
The sentiment is from a set by My Craft Spot called Bundle of Joy and stamped it with MFT kraft ink. I added a few soft pink sequins and a strip of soft mint washi tape.
Finished off with some jute twine wrapped and tied in a bow, and attached a pink button, then attached the front panel with foam adhesive to a kraft cardbase using Avery Elle cardstock.
Thanks for visiting! Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon!!!

Warm Thoughts!

Good Monday morning! I thought I would pop in real quick and share my card for the new challenge for Shop Pumpkin Spice that just started - Snowmen/Snowman/Snowperson/Snowpeople (you get the idea!) - I am also linking this up to the Ribbon Carousel Winter Spirit Challenge, and the Paper Smooches Guest Design Search. Here is what I made:
I used some paper from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad (you can still find it HERE at Shop Pumpkin Spice) and a fun Paper Smooches stamp set (also found HERE at Shop Pumpkin Spice)
I cut my background frame with a Spellbinder's Die, then paper pieced my snowman, colored lightly with some Copic markers to outline. I added him holding the coffee cup - just because it seemed fun!
The sentiment is from a different Paper Smooches set called Sentiment Sampler. I hand trimmed some banners, and tucked them behind my framed shape, then added some rows of bling.
For the background, I scored a frame around the edges, then inked with distress ink. Attached a doily, then mounted my frame over the top with foam adhesive.
Attached the sentiment, and finished off with a bit of jute twine!
Thanks for stopping by today! And make sure and head on over to Shop Pumpkin Spice to link up your own creation for the Snowman Challenge!

Cards Blog Challenge - with Paper Smooches

(((If you happen to be looking for my New Years Giveaway of the Unity set Snowflake Kisses, click HERE or just scroll down. It is open for a few more days!)))

Good morning! When I saw the Cards Blog Challenge for January - with a Paper Smooches prize pack, there was NOOOO way I could pass up the opportunity to join in on the fun! I am also linking this up to this month's Paper Smooches Anything Goes challenge. Here is what I made:
And here is the color inspiration to follow:

I don't know about you - but something about this color challenge is simply LOVELY!!! And since I have been having so much fun with my Paper Smooches stamps lately - I absolutely HAD to pull them out for this challenge!
I started by building the scene using some Basic Grey papers. I used my MFT Die-namics grass border die for the grass, and used both the die cut, and the negative of the die to put behind the original.
Next, I stamped and used my Copic markers to color the funny little rabbit, fussy cut him out, and tucked his toes in the grass. Adhered both to the gray background with foam adhesive, then added some clouds I die-cut with my Lil' Inker Cloud Dies, also with foam ahesive.
Finished off by scoring my card base around the edges to add a bit of a frame, stamped the sentiment on a hand trimmed banner with two different colors of PTI ink and attaching with foam adhesive, then attached the entire panel to my scored cardbase.
LOVE all the fun dimension this card has!!! Thanks for stopping by!

One more Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Card

Okay - and here is my second entry for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:

And here is the trigger photo again:

When I saw the trigger - I immediately thought of this paper - so perfect, isn't it? I stitched it onto kraft paper, added some score lines with my Martha Stewart score board, and stamped a sentiment by Unity Stamps.

Finished off with a button banner using canvas, and PTI buttons and twine.

Alright - I think that's all for me today! Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!!!

Patches of Pink Design Team Post and Link-up Party!

Hello! It's time for another link-up party at Patches of Pink! Since it October, the theme this month is Halloween. As you might have seen on my blog before, our family doesn't celebrate Halloween, so I am substituting a Fall project! I decided to make a set of thank you notes - perfect to give as a gift! Here they are:

I cut a leaf off of Flower Shoppe project cartridge - and just used several different pattern papers from a My Minds Eye 6x6 paper stack. I actually cut several more in more large and busy patterns and plan on using those on a layout, because they look so pretty together!

I then used my Martha Stewart Score board to make a frame around the edges, and stamped a simple sentiment from Unity Stamps. I love how simple, and yet elegant they are! Here is the whole set together - aren't they pretty?!?!?

Thanks for stopping by - make sure and head over to Patches of Pink and link up your own creation! Can't wait to see what you make!!!

I am also entering this in the Unity Stamp Co. Challenge - Autumn Harvest. The challenge is to get inspiration from a poem that is posted on their blog, or from something that reminds you of Autumn. What better than falling leaves, and being thankful?

A couple more Scrappy Mom's sneak peaks...

Good morning! I meant to post these yesterday, but ended up waking up with the stomach flu - YUCK! I felt better by the end of the day, but wasn't really doing to much, so I just decided to save these for today! I also wanted to make sure and remind you that Scrappy Mom's Stamps is still offering FREE SHIPPING through this Sunday the 16th! Don't miss that opportunity if there is something you have been wanting for a while!

Anyway, I have this card I made using Everyday Pop-up Cards - and lots of pink! Inked the edges of the dark pink with dark pink ink, and the light pink with light pink ink and pop-dotted the balloon from the background. I used my Martha Stewart score board to do the edges, and added some stitching. It is kind of driving me nuts that my stitching along the bottom got a little crooked though! It actually looks worse in the picture than in real life - but I still might have to redo that part of the card! Oh well...

I will be linking this one up as well to the Link-up for Pink Party over at Gaby Creates.

This second card I used A Child's Year for all the cuts. The black polka dots are a background stamp from Unity Stamps, and I added some crinkle ribbon as well.

Here is a picture of what I put on the inside - one of the icons that I cut out once in green and once in red - did some snipping with my scissors, and layered together for an inside embellishment. You can also see the pop-dotting on the front image.

I also made this for the Blogiversary sketch challenge over on the Cricut Circle Blog. Here is the sketch that I followed:

And here are the 2 new sets of Scrappy Mom's Stamps that I used for my sneak peaks:

Thanks again for visiting today! See you again soon!

More Scrappy Mom's Sneak Peaks!

Good morning! I have a couple more cards I made with the NEW sets of Scrappy Moms stamps! Remember - they are offering {FREE shipping} through October 16th - so it's a great time to pick up any new sets you might have been eyeing for a while!!!

Here is my first card:

I used the new set A Holiday to Remember.

The house was cut from Joys of the Season. I added some gray Bakers Twine for smoke from the chimney, lots of stitching and doodling with my white gel pen, and pop-dotted it from the background.

The sentiment tag is cut from Sophisticated, and I found the little hearts on Birthday Cakes cartridge - they are also pop-dotted from the background! Finished off with some more faux stitching around the edges of everything else.

My second card is so simple - but I love how it came out! I just used my Martha Stewart Score Board to add an embossed double square, then took some pink ribbon, twisted it, and glued it down with Zip Dry glue where I wanted it to stick.

Finished off with the sentiment from this set - Believe in Miracles! Remember - $2 of from the sale of each of this set goes toward research and support for families and victims of cancer. I am also linking this card up to the Link up for Pink linking party over at Gaby Creates! And...adding it to the Hand Stamped Sentiments Think Pink Challenge

That's it for today! I will have some more sneaks up for you tomorrow!!! Thanks for stopping by!
