Sending Hugs and Smiles Beautiful - Simon Says Stamp March 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here this morning to share one more card with the BRAND NEW March 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Spring Windows! This kit is full of all the spring feels! The included stamp set by the same name has the sweetest little window and floral images - along with some fabulous sentiments, there is some DREAMY pattern paper, distress markers, sentiment label stickers - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Once again today, I couldn't resist using lots more of that pattern paper - but some of the less floral ones for a completely different look!

I love pink paired with black and white - and these were the perfect combo. That gorgeous word die from the kit made a perfect large bold sentiment to line up between the two pattern papers as well - die cut simply from black and white cardstock.

The stamped sentiment from the stamp set in the kit was designed to curve around the top of the windows in the stamp set - but I thought it was such a simple, fun, and playful way to add an additional sentiment around the die cut word! A few sparkly jewels finish this glamorous card off just perfectly!

Sending Hugs - Simon Says Stamp March 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here this morning to share another card with the BRAND NEW March 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Spring Windows! This kit is full of all the spring feels! The included stamp set by the same name has the sweetest little window and floral images - along with some fabulous sentiments, there is some DREAMY pattern paper, distress markers, sentiment label stickers - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

I just wasn't done playing with that gorgeous pattern paper, so I have another layered card to share today, just a bit different than the previous one:

I loved both sides of that floral pattern paper, so I thought it would be fun to add a folded corner to my card - that way both sides got featured on the card. I die cut a heart from another piece of the pattern paper using the outline portion of Deco Heart Dies, and layered that over the top.

I added a sentiment by heat embossing that circle sentiment from the stamp set in the kit in gold, fussy cutting out, and layering over a bow tied with jute string, then added an additional sentiment from the label stickers in the kit. Finally, I trimmed the upper corner to tie in to the folded corner on the pattern paper, then finished off with a few sparkly pink crystals from Pinkfresh Studio for a touch more fun!

You are Always Welcome - Simon Says Stamp March 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here today to share my first card with the BRAND NEW March 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Spring Windows! This kit is full of all the spring feels! The included stamp set by the same name has the sweetest little window and floral images - along with some fabulous sentiments, there is some DREAMY pattern paper, distress markers, sentiment label stickers - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

You know that I just couldn't wait to put that gorgeous pattern paper to use, so I layered it up for my first card!

If you have spent much time looking at my cards, you know that while I often edge towards fairly clean and simple designs, I absolutely ADORE layering up some gorgeous pattern paper like this! I chose some complementary layers, trimmed them all down in descending sizes, and adhered them together on my card front.

I used one of the more solid bits of pattern paper to heat emboss one of those gorgeous windows from the Spring Windows stamp set in the kit, then fussy cut it out to adhere on top of those layers - adding a piece of vellum in between the floral paper and the window to keep it from getting lost in that pattern, while not completely obscuring it. Added sentiments with a mix of the fun Sentiment Label stickers in the kit, and a stamped and heat embossed sentiment from the stamp set, and embossed on another scrap of that pattern paper.

Birthday Map Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I'm stopping by to share the card I made for my daughter's 15th birthday in September - I know, a bit late, but I had it done in time for her, just hadn't had a chance to get a post written up and shared here! :)

This might seem like an unusual card for a teen girl, but there is kind of a story behind it - not to mention she is generally not into pink and sparkly girly things! I got back from my trip to Italy 3 days before her birthday, and since she is very much into medieval and ancient history, she wanted me to bring her back a birthday gift from Rome and/or Italy. I was only too happy to do that! She also loves travel - this summer we went as a family to Iceland/Norway/Sweden - and she would love to visit Scotland, Ireland, and England someday as well!

So, right in the middle of this pattern paper from Carta Bella's 6x6 Cartography paper pad is Italy, where all of her birthday gifts came from this year. In the top left corner is somewhere she would also love to travel, and the very tip of Norway is just off the edge of the map at the top.

The sentiment was easy - she also has a fabulous sense of humor, and since she was little has kept us smiling and laughing all the time! So I enjoyed this dry humor sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday stamp set, and thought it would be perfect! Heat embossed it in Antique Gold on some vellum, then attached it to the map paper my sewing machine and a simple line of machine stitching.

Finished off by distressing the edges of the paper a bit, layering some solid cardstocks underneath, and finished off with a few wood veneer stars - like sequins, but less sparkly!

Floral Window Trio - Unity Stamp Company

Good morning! Yesterday Unity Stamp Company had a super fun release, and an Instagram Hop to celebrate! The Instagram Hop is still going through next Thursday, with some great prizes up for grabs, so head over there and hop if you haven't! I shared these three cards on Instagram for the hop yesterday, and thought I'd pop in here and share a few more details!

This first card uses the absolutely darling new Phyllis Harris stamp set - Favorite Days. Absolutely darling, isn't it?!?!?

These next two cards absolutely crack me up! These adorable old ladies and their perfect sentiments are so very fun! This first one uses the fun Demand a Recount:

The second one uses Only Old Once.

I used some pretty floral pattern paper, die cut some windows in them, and popped them over my colored image. I also added some Crystal Glaze on the glasses and jewelry of the sweet older gals, and finished off with a few sparkly jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.

Pattern Paper Floral Frame - Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share one more card created with the BRAND NEW June Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Leafy Frames! This is a STUNNING kit - the included large stamp set by the same name is absolutely GORGEOUS, the pattern paper couldn't be any more lovely - not to mention the coordinating tags and frames, and the envelopes, cardstock, and even fun bit of glitter are all fun additions!

Similar to yesterday's card, today's card shares one of those beautiful pattern paper frames with a stamped sentiment from the kit, and a few fussy cut out florals from the pattern paper.

I chose one of those beautiful frames, then carefully cut out a few of the flowers from one of the sheets of pattern paper, and adhered them together.

I adhered that with foam adhesive to some Ivory cardstock from the kit, layered some black cardstock and some of the solid pattern paper from the Carta Bella pattern paper in the kit and then stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in the kit!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

This is definitely a simple and fun card - but still beautiful!

Vellum Frame Layers - Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share another card created with the BRAND NEW June Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Leafy Frames! This is a STUNNING kit - the included large stamp set by the same name is absolutely GORGEOUS, the pattern paper couldn't be any more lovely - not to mention the coordinating tags and frames, and the envelopes, cardstock, and even fun bit of glitter are all fun additions!

Today's card shares some layers of those beautiful pattern paper frames with a stamped frame from the kit.

I chose a couple of the elements from the Carta Bella Botanical Garden Frames and Tags Ephemera to layer together, then layered under them one of the frames from the stamp set - heat embossed in white on vellum and fussy cut out. I tucked a bit of gold thread in there before adhering them all together.

I layered them all together, then adhered with foam adhesive (hiding behind the ephemera) onto a panel of kraft cardstock. Finished off by adhering that panel to a cardbase created with the Ivory cardstock in the kit.

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

Aren't those soft layers so lovely? And this was SOOO simple and easy to make as well!

Vellum Floral Frame Card Set - Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share a set of cards created with the BRAND NEW June Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Leafy Frames! This is a STUNNING kit - the included large stamp set by the same name is absolutely GORGEOUS, the pattern paper couldn't be any more lovely - not to mention the coordinating tags and frames, and the envelopes, cardstock, and even fun bit of glitter are all fun additions!

I couldn't get enough of it all, so I have this set of 3 cards I created:

Here is a closer look at each card - each one uses lots of lovely pattern paper from the kit layered together.

This first one features white heat embossing on vellum for that gorgeous frame, with the large sentiment heat embossed in the same color.

I also added a smaller sentiment heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock.

This next one uses Antique Gold embossing powder. I fussy cut out each of these frames after heat embossing on the vellum.

To help the large "sending" pop on each of them, I added a bit of white cardstock underneath that part of the frame. To keep it from feeling too perfect, I tore the edges to give it a softer feel.

I used the bit behind the black strip to add some liquid adhesive to adhere the vellum down - this perfectly hides it!

This final card uses gold embossing powder with some of the more rustic and neutral papers in the kit.

Once the layers were attached, I wrapped some jute string around the entire card front - this helped hold the bottom part of the vellum in place.

I still love how the edges of the frame are loose and float free - adds to the soft feel of these I think!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

Which one of the set do you like best? Certain color of embossing or pattern paper stand out to you?
