LID December Release Day 1 - Buffalo Plaid and Chocolate

Hello! So excited to start sharing projects with the BRAND NEW December release at Lil' Inker Designs! Such fun products in this release - and if you love Buffalo Plaid (and who DOESN'T?!?!?) - you are going to love this release! You can find the entire new release HERE!

You should have arrived here from Chrissy Larson - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win the amazing giveaway. I also have links to all the new products I used on today's cards!

Today I'm using a few of the new stamps and dies - but in particular, my new favorite stamp set - Cozy Plaid! I mean...buffalo Plaid stamp - how can you go wrong?!?!?

I've used this stamp set in several different color combos to give a completely different feel - I'll be sharing more of those over the next couple days - but for today's card I went full-on-traditional Buffalo Plaid and stamped it in black on red cardstock. I used my MISTI and Versafine ink to stamp multiple times for a super deep, dark, and crisp impression.

Next, I die cut the mug from the previously released Coffee Talk 2 Die Set, and added a sentiment from the new coordinating Comfy Cocoa stamp set, and some whip cream and a peppermint stick from the new Comfy Cocoa Coordinating Dies.

To add a touch of interest, texture, and femininity to my card, I added a bit of lace at the bottom, and some jute twine before mounting my mug of cocoa with foam adhesive over the top. I also used some Nuvo Glitter Drops to add some sparkle on the whip cream and peppermint stick. SOOO fun!

Your next stop along the blog hop is Jennifer Carter - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!

There is also this fun little promotion going on right now if you need any last minute gifts! :)

25 Tags of Christmas - Lil' Inker Designs

Good morning! I'm happy to be joining in again today one more time this month with a special event called the 25 Days of Christmas Tags - a fun event that Tracey McNeely does each year with tags every day from different companies, a link up to play along, and of course, prizes! You can read all the details HERE

Today's sponsor is Lil' Inker Designs - I put a tag together combining some of the newest release and a few older items as well:

I started off by die cutting a tag from kraft cardstock using Silly Stitched Squares Dies. I then heat embossed the lovely poinsettia from the new Festive Florals stamp set in gold, slightly over the edges. I added the "peace" from the slightly older Rustic Christmas stamp set, this time heat embossed in white. Added some coloring with my white Prismacolor pencil, some Nuvo Drops to the center instead of coloring, and then added some dots with a white gel pen. Finished off with some lace and gold thread tied at the top!

Don't forget there is a gift certificate to Lil' Inker Designs up for grabs! Stop by Tracey's blog to read the details of how to qualify!

Here is a peek at some of the awesome sponsors for this event - I'll be back a few more times this month with tags for other design teams I'm on - see you then!

Sweet Elephant - Lace Button Bow Embellishment

Good morning! Yep - back with some more adorable critters for you from Unity Stamp Company! So in love with these darling new releases!

Here is a Quick Tip video showing how I got the lace and button bow embellishment on this card:

And a closer look at that bow! Lace is such a fun substitute for ribbon or twine and adds a fun softness to a card.

More Lawn Fawn plaid paper on this as well - I can't get enough plaid and the Lawn Fawn ones are so pretty!

Ombre and Pigment Ink Roses

Good morning! Have you seen the lovely new releases from Unity Stamp Company? This beautiful layered rose is from a gorgeous new set called You Are This:

I put together a Quick Tip video showing how the layers worked together on this card using ombre dye ink and white pigment ink - plus a little trick to line up the leaves:

This stamp set seriously couldn't be easier to make a stunning card with! So pretty!

Soft White and Kraft Color Combo

Good morning! Dropping by very quickly this morning to share a super soft and simple baby card - I love the combo of kraft and white - and it just went PERFECTLY with this image!

I made a Quick Tip video sharing a bit of my process as well:

A white colored pencil is perfect for adding a bit of a pop to the image, but still leaving it soft and simple.

A bit of lace and twine finish the soft and subtle effect!

Winnie and Walter January Release - Premier Day 3

Good morning! Back again today sharing more sneak peeks with the BRAND NEW Winnie and Walter Release - it is one HUGE release - packed with beautiful stamps and dies, many of which have a baby theme that is timeless! All new releases will be available on the 3rd of February!

Both of my cards today feature a darling set called Big Hugs which was designed by Evelin T. Designs - I was lucky enough to meet, hug, and hang out with Evelin when I was at CHA last month - and she was exactly as sweet and adorable as her illustrations!

For this first card, I watercolored the adorable giraffes from the new set, and then added a sentiment from the new Sentimental: Love - which was featured yesterday. I heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock, then mounted with foam adhesive under the giraffes before mounting that entire panel on a soft yellow card base.

Seriously - the images on these sets couldn't be more darling! These sweet little bears make me melt a little inside!

For these, I heat embossed them in white on kraft cardstock, added some shading with Copics for a bit of interest, then cut with the coordinating dies. The sentiment is from fun new set called Sketchy Thoughts - LOVE the sketchy feel to the speech bubbles on this set, as well as the perfect sentiments for every occasion. I stamped the speech bubble in a pale yellow ink, then the sentiment over the top in a deeper shade and die cut with the coordinating dies. Added the smaller die cut postage stamp shape using the new Essentials: Lana Cutaways. A bit of lace and ribbon, some washi, and a criss cross of tiny Tim Holtz staples finish this card off!
