To Someone Who Makes Others So Happy - Instagram Hop

Good morning! Today I'm so happy to be participating on a special Instagram hop to celebrate (or help!) two very talented crafters make the last final push to 10K followers (on Instagram, this gives the fun swipe up feature in stories). The hop is sponsored by Altenew with some great giveaways as well - you can check out on my Instagram page HERE for more info.

I thought I would also post my card here with more details as well as links to what I used - just makes it easier if anyone is wanting more info!

I used the beautiful Frilled Petals stamp set from Altenew - for some reason it was a stamp set I had in my stash and hadn't ever used! So this was a perfect opportunity. I stamped it with layers of Pinkfresh Studio inks - layered stamping is so fun and relaxing for me!

I built my sentiment to honor the two friends (you can find them HERE and HERE) - they are both so talented and make so many people happy on Instagram, so it seemed fitting!

I trimmed the panel down, added a couple of score lines at the top and bottom for texture, and a few sparkly clear jewels from Pretty Pink Posh, then added a tiny twine bow before mounting the entire panel with foam on a card base created with Altenew's Spicy Yogurt cardstock.

Spellbinders Sew Sweet Hand Cards

Hello! I was honored this month to be a guest designer on the Spellbinder's Blog to share cards using the brand new Sew Sweet Collection from Tammy Tutterow! Tonight I'm sharing the first couple of cards that I shared on their blog a week ago - you can view that post HERE

This collection is full of fun elements for cards and projects celebrating the art of the handmade - my mind first went to handmade quilts and gifts! But I also saw possibilities for other creative uses for this collection, so I decided to start with a couple cards that use these products for perhaps a different use than they were originally intended!

To start off, when I saw this sentiment from #Handmade stamps, my mind immediately thought of a very good friend of mine that is an ASL interpreter. So I had to make a card for her!

I stamped the sentiment, and layered some of the images from the same stamp set (as well as a flower from Sew Tiny Sentiments stamp set. I also added some chevron border elements using Shapeabilities Sew Sweet Trims die set, and used this same die set to die cut a kraft border to tuck under the edges of the front stamped white panel.

I wrapped some hemp twine around that panel, added some white gel pen accents, and then mounted that on a cream colored cardbase.

And then, of course, the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the fabulous hand die from Shapeabilities From Heart and Hand die set was a hand waving hello!

I did some ink smooshing in green and aqua inks for my background, also adding some white paint splatters. Once that dried, I added some washi tape along the bottom, and some letter stickers to build my sentiment!

And to make it more fun and interactive, I used a mini Action Wobble to attach the hand - so that it can ACTUALLY wave!

Thanks to the Action Wobble, do you see how it pops out at you from the card as well?

So there you go! Do you like stretching your stamps and dies to find more creative uses for them? I love to find unique ways to use things that I already have!

Which one is your favorite? Would you make a card like this?

Thankful Gift Set - Reverse Confetti Release Hop

Good morning! Today is the day! The new holiday release at Reverse Confetti is live and ready for you to go shopping! :)

The DT and this month's 'Fetti Friend are hopping today with more fun projects using the new release! I have another card and treat packaging combo for you today!

Sigh...these colors just feel like fall to me! And boy, I'm ready for fall by now - cooler weather, cozy days, homemade soup and fresh baking - YAY! To start off, I created my card using Autumn Blessings. LOVE that pile of leaves, pumpkins, and fall flowers! I stamped it on some of the lovely new Every Little Bit pattern paper, and cut it with the coordinating Autumn Blessings Confetti Cuts. I stamped my sentiment from the kit on more pattern paper from the same pad, then added a white frame using All Framed Up. Used a white gel pen to color in parts of my die cut piece, then mounted it with foam adhesive at the bottom of my card.

And then the treat packaging - I adore these new Bitty Window Bags! I filled it up with some gorgeous English Rose Tea that my hubby brought back from a recent work trip to London (I was skeptical, but it is AMAZING and my current favorite tea!) I added a couple of the taller tags from Tag Duo Confetti Cuts die cut from more of the Every Little Bit pattern paper, and stamped a sentiment also from Autumn Blessings. Added a flower and a couple little leaves from another new stamp set - Fall for You - and tied it onto my bag with some hemp twine!

Doesn't it make a lovely set? What about you - are you ready for fall as well?

Here is a peek at the new products I used that just released!

STAMPtember with Reverse Confetti!

Good evening! I'm super excited to be stopping by with a couple cards using the newest STAMPtember collaboration with Simon Says Stamp - this time partnered up with Reverse Confetti! Woohoo!!!

The amazing thing about this stamp set, Celebrate Your Day, is that all the profits from this set are going to support the Pink Fund, a charity to Reverse Confetti Owner Jennifer del Muro's heart. Many of you know that she has been fighting an amazing battle this year against breast cancer. In Jen's words - "they [The Pink Fund] offer financial support to women going through Breast Cancer Treatment. While I am fortunate enough to not have to utilize such services, it is close to my heart and an important cause for me..." How amazing is that?

This set is such a fun sentiment stamp set! I have two cards - first up, one featuring just some of the fun sentiments:

For this card, I stamped the large "celebrate" in Dark Roast Dye Ink. I then stamped several of the smaller sentiments in Brick Dye Ink. Trimmed that panel down, and mounted on a kraft cardbase, then finished off with a bit of hemp twine tied around the top! Isn't that a fun font?

My second card wasn't planned that way, but for some reason all I can think of is a toy Tonka truck - anyone else?

For this one I used the fabulous layers for the sentiment. I stamped the large "celebrate" first in embossing ink, heat embossed in white (wish I'd done clear, but that's okay!) - blended some Distress Oxide ink up from the bottom in an ombre so that the heat embossed part resisted the ink. I then used my MISTI to help me line up and stamp the stripes over the top, and added the small sentiment underneath. Added a few White Nuvo Drops (that soaked up the color of the Oxide ink and turned a paler shade of yellow!) - and there you go. A fun one layer card, that somehow seems like it would be perfect for a young boy!

So many possibilities with this stamp set - here is a look at the entire thing - you can purchase it HERE!
