Sunshine and Brighter Days - Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share yet another card using the new September 2023 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Bee Happy! This month's kit is happy and fun, with a focus on bee and sunflower elements. The included stamp set by the same name has some fun images to stamp as well as some great sentiments, there is a 3D embossing folderpretty pattern paper...that's all not to mention the cardstock, embellishments, and more!

For this card I'm sharing today, I'm mostly featuring the stamp set in the kit. I love this fun little layered floral image - perfect for a card focal point. I stamped it in slightly non-traditional colors, then trimmed into a rectangle, and mounted with foam over a slightly larger panel of vellum to help frame it out a bit. I scored a couple of lines on each side of the front of my white cardbase to add some interest, and adhered the florals centered, stamping the sentiment underneath. Finished off with a few jewels in the centers of the flowers for touch of sparkle! Here are some more photos of this card:

End of the Rainbow - Simon Says Stamp June 2021 Card Kit

Hello! I'm here today to share my first cards with the BRAND NEW June 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Rainbow is my Favorite Color! This kit is full of rainbow fun! The included stamp set by the same name has some fun rainbow building stamps and great sentiments, there is some lovely pattern paper, a sweet little rainbow die (that I'm using on my card today!) - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

Today's card is clean and simple rainbow fun!

I used that fun Hello Rainbow die on the stripe rainbow pattern paper from the kit - making the stripes go a bit of a different direction for a fun different look!

I tucked a few of the cute little cloud Doodlebug stickers on the left hand side, popping a couple of them up on foam adhesive like the rainbow, and one underneath.

Sentiment from the stamp set in the kit was heat embossed on some black cardstock to adhere - not my first plan, but when you mess up stamping the sentiment, you improvise, right?

A few of those cute sparkly Memory Box jewels on the rainbow, and a few of the tiny hearts from the Doodlebug stickers tucked under the sentiment add a bit of sparkle. And finally - it felt just a *bit* too simple, so I added a row of scored lines at the bottom of the card base for a touch of texture!

To Someone Who Makes Others So Happy - Instagram Hop

Good morning! Today I'm so happy to be participating on a special Instagram hop to celebrate (or help!) two very talented crafters make the last final push to 10K followers (on Instagram, this gives the fun swipe up feature in stories). The hop is sponsored by Altenew with some great giveaways as well - you can check out on my Instagram page HERE for more info.

I thought I would also post my card here with more details as well as links to what I used - just makes it easier if anyone is wanting more info!

I used the beautiful Frilled Petals stamp set from Altenew - for some reason it was a stamp set I had in my stash and hadn't ever used! So this was a perfect opportunity. I stamped it with layers of Pinkfresh Studio inks - layered stamping is so fun and relaxing for me!

I built my sentiment to honor the two friends (you can find them HERE and HERE) - they are both so talented and make so many people happy on Instagram, so it seemed fitting!

I trimmed the panel down, added a couple of score lines at the top and bottom for texture, and a few sparkly clear jewels from Pretty Pink Posh, then added a tiny twine bow before mounting the entire panel with foam on a card base created with Altenew's Spicy Yogurt cardstock.

Thinking of You - Masked Heart

Hello! Dropping by this evening with a quick card. I am super excited to be part of the Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp as a Guest - but I also thought it would be fun to play along with some of the lessons when I have time as well! I was the guest instructor for Day 1, but loved Kristina Werner's version of the lesson for that day - so thought I would attempt one closer to her version. You can find all the supplies I used linked at the bottom of this post! Oh - and you can go HERE to check out the card camp, it's not too late to sign up!

Today's lesson was on creative masking and stamping - such a fun technique! I love how many possibilities this has!

Reverse Confetti September Release Blog Hop - Wobbly Gnome Magic

Good morning! It's time! The NEW September Release is live at Reverse Confetti - and the DT is hopping with even more inspiration for you! I also created a video sharing a closer look at the entire new release - you can see it on the Reverse Confetti Blog or YouTube Channel HERE!

Today I'm sharing this cute little interactive card using the brand new Holiday Gnomes Stamp Set!

I started off by stamping several of the images from this set, coloring them in bright happy - and non-traditional - colors, then die cutting with the coordinating Holiday Gnomes Confetti Cuts.

I layered them together on a panel of white cardstock...and couldn't resist putting that cute little gnome on a mini action wobble! Here it is in action:

So fun, right? I added some scored lines around the outside of the white panel, mounted it on some pattern paper from the new 6x6 Pattern Paper Pad - Abundantly Autumn, and then added a few sparkly Nuvo Drops as embellishments on parts of the images.

Here is a peek at the new products I used that released today!

Technique Tuesday Countdown Day 1 - Lovely Lavender

Good morning! It's already time to start sharing sneak peek projects for the September Release from Technique Tuesday! YAY!!! Make sure and check out the Technique Tuesday Blog to find links to all the Design Team's projects for today!

As often happens, I sat down to make one card, and ended up with 3 instead using the beautiful new Lovely Lavender set. Lavender is one of my favorite plants EVER - we have tons in our yard actually, so I was super excited to see this stamp set!

I colored them in some of the fun colors I've seen of different varieties of lavender. Such a fun image to color!

Here is a closer look at each one - first up the traditional purples. I added a sentiment to this one using Things Change stamp set over the triple scored lines on the white cardbase.

Next up, I couldn't resist some more blue tones - maybe a bit of a stretch, but still so lovely! These next two cards use sentiments from the new Mandala Sentiments stamp set.

And finally, some varieties have more of a pink tone - so I had to do that as well! I finished these all off with a few Pearl White jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.

So, are you a lavender fan? Which color is your favorite? Love how simple and easily these cards came together!

Spellbinders Indie Line Blog Hop and Giveaway

Good morning! I'm excited today to be hopping with Spellbinders featuring the Indie Line, available only from select retailers! You can find it HERE at Simon Says Stamp - or check on the Spellbinders Blog for a more complete list!

I have two cards to share today using two of the sets in this fabulous collection - the Layered Rose Etched Dies and Wishing Expressions Cling Stamp and Die set:

I decided to die cut the flowers from Layered Rose Etched Dies using a mix of white cardstock and pattern paper. I cut the base layers using white cardstock, then both of the flower layers in the same pattern paper for a soft layered look, and two colors for the leaves.

I did the same thing with the word dies from Wishing Expressions Cling Stamp and Die set - white cardstock for the base layer, and then pattern paper for the detail layer.

For my cardbases, I used Fog cardstock from Simon Says Stamp - a nice soft gray. I added score lines around the edges to form a frame, then added some white paint splatters.

I heat embossed a sentiment for each card from Wishing Expressions Cling Stamp and Die set on a strip of black cardstock, and layered everything on the cardbases with foam adhesive.

I finished off with a few white jewels from Pretty Pink Posh on the sides of the sentiment strips for a bit of sparkle!
