PS SPARKS - Flowers

Hello! It's time for this weeks new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge - here is what I made this week:

It is the first week of the month, so that means it is a Trend Watch Challenge:

And here is the inspiration piece:

Isn't it beautiful?!?!?  I loved the soft and dreamy color scheme, and tried to capture that in my card. I used two PS stamp sets, Calico for the flowers and leaves, and Salutations for my sentiment.

I stamped my flowers and leaves using several different Versamagic Inks - love how well they layer together! The sentiment was stamped with MFT kraft ink, and I added a sprinkling of self adhesive pearls. Finished off with a bit of washi, a tiny piece of Tim Holtz film strip, held on with a tiny Tim Holtz paper clip.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Looking forward to seeing your creations this week as well! Please stop by and see what the rest of the SPARKS team put together:

Flowers and Happiness

Hello! Happy Friday! I'm combining Unity Friends with Flair with the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger for the week - here is what I made:

Here is the Trigger photo - beautiful, isn't it?

I used Now & Always and the July KOTM to make my flower background, using some Versamagic ink. The sentiment came from the August KOTM.

I mounted that piece with foam adhesive on some Avery Elle Sea Glass Cardstock (because of the plate under the teacup) and added a few enamel dots to finish it off.

The day I took these photos was a bit gray and gloomy - sorry for the poor photos! This was the best I could do!

Anyway - hope you are having a great Friday, and have a great weekend too!

Happy Birthday You Party Animal

Hello! Just dropping by to share my card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge: Feature Stars!

I did pretty well with my time for this one - here is how much time I had left when I finished:

I am SOOOO in love with this color combo right now! Mint and Apricot are just so fun! I used the adorable Party Animal stamp set from Avery Elle, inked up with Versamagic Ink. I stamped the balloon, then stamped the stars 2 or 3 times each inking so that it looked like a variety of different green shades.

I added some washi tape under the image to anchor it, layering the the mint chevron washi on first, then adding the music note washi over the top.

Finished off by adding a sprinkling of Mint sequins from Neat and Tangled with a touch of bling in the center of each one, stamping the sentiment on the bottom, and matting with the Apricot color on the sides, and mounting on a mint green cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful day!!!

Feel Better Soon

Good morning! Just wanted to share a fun card using several of the new releases from My Craft Spot:

I can promise you are going to see lots more using this beautiful 4" Metal Doily Die:

I also used some Ivory Jute Twine from My Craft Spot to tie my bow:

I stamped the large band-aids and the circle sentiment on a strip of white cardstock, and stamped a Peachy Keen Face in the center of the circle sentiment. The inks were Versamagic - a perfect mint color, and that fun peach color. Those are two of my current favorite colors!

Doily was cut with white cardstock, sequins are from Neat and Tangled, and background paper is by My Mind's Eye.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super wonderful 4th of July!!!

Thinking, thinking, thinking...

Good morning! Popping in to share another quick challenge card! Sometimes getting back from vacation makes it hard to get my Mojo going - and while I have been working on lots of fun Design Team stuff for next weeks new release at My Craft Spot, sometimes a good challenge or two is the perfect way to get myself feeling creative again! Here is what I put together this time:

I made this for the Avery Elle June Challenge using this sketch:

And used these beautiful colors from this weeks color story at the Play Date Cafe:

I used the Avery Elle set called Petals and Stems - so beautiful and fun for layering! I inked them up with Versamagic inks, then layered them all together - stamping one separately to fussy cut out and layer on top of my sentiment square.

The sentiment square was cut with my Lil' Inker's stitched rectangles, and I stamped the first part of the sentiment in each of my colored inks before attaching it with foam adhesive and adding the flower at the bottom.

Added some clear sequins, a tiny bit of Stickles to the center of the flowers, and layered strips of coordinating pattern paper from an MME 6x6 paper pad on the side.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Paper Smooches Guest Designer - Week 3

Good morning! Can't believe that this month is half over, but here I am again sharing for week 3 a couple more cards for my month as guest designer over at Paper Smooches:

I have to say that the new stamp set, Crystal Clear is my FAVORITE! And the sentiment from Giddy Bugs was a perfect fit!

For this card, I stamped the jar and heat embossed in clear on white Watercolor paper. I then used a waterbrush and painted on some Mister Huey's mist to color it in. I overlapped the edges of the jar, so you could see where it started and ending. After letting that dry, I stamped the lightning bugs and sentiment, then brushed some more Mister Huey's over the sentiment and let it dry.

I added some Stickles around the sentiment and the jar, as well as on the wings of the little bugs. Then I stuck an enamel dot on each bug for the "glow" part!

Finished off with a strip of MME pattern paper, some sparkly May Arts ribbon that was a perfect match, and mounted the entire thing with foam adhesive on an Every Elle kraft cardbase.

Next up, I thought it would be fun to make an 8th birthday card using the cute octopus from Briny Blue

I also used Digits stamp set, and Ovals 1 Dies for the sentiment.

I stamped my scene using some different colors of Versamagic ink, then trimmed it down, rounded the corners, and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distress tool. I hand trimmed the banner, stamped the sentiment in two parts, then stamped the "8th" and cut it with my oval dies.

Layered some MME patterned paper on a Bazzil cardbase, added some lace from October Afternoon and a few sequins, and attached my sentiment banner with foam adhesive.

Too bad my youngest is going to be 9 in September! Might have to save this one for a friend or niece!

Anyway - hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by - I'll see you next week for my final week!

Cutie Pie Glasses

Just popping in to quickly share a card I managed to squeeze in making this morning! Sweet Stamp Shop posted on their Facebook page a giveaway - you just had to post a brand new never seen card using their stamps to the Facebook page before noon to have a chance to win. So...this is what I whipped out:
Used my Lil' Inker's stitched rectangle dies to add the stitching to the cardbase, as well as for the center panel. Stamped the glasses from a Sweet Stamp Shop set three times using some new Versamagic Ink I picked up yesterday at Joann's (which is 2 hours away!!!)
Pattern Paper is from Basic Grey, sentiment stamped with MFT ink. Tucked in a doily, added the sequins, added a bit of washi, and that's it! I tried REALLY hard to keep it flat and mail-able...not sure if the sequins count, but it's close!
Hope your day is going well!
