Punishing bugs with the greatest of ease

Just found this mock ad in the 1992 edition of Marvel Swimsuit Illustrated and it's pretty amusing if I do say so myself.

Makes you wonder doesn't it, if Frank treats bugs/pests like he does the criminals he kills. Does he stake out there hideouts and write entire little war journals about them? Does he set up elaborate death-traps to torture and maim them before killing them, or does he go straight for the kill because he's got REAL scum to kill?

Makes you wonder doesn't it? What's Frank's prefered method of killing bugs?

Monday Memes: Lt. Data/Mark Zuckerberg

Just got back on FB after a week-long ban for using "Hateful speech that violates FB policy."

In other words they didn't like the fact that I called their boss a filthy Jew bastard and that I wished I could go back in time to 1944 and stick him one of Hitler's ovens.

Yeah, apparently that didn't go over with FB too well.

Well in honor of the filthy Jew bastard, I figured I'd devote some memes to him using the one guy he hates being compared to: Lt. Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Enjoy....

I did actually manage accomplish something this past week as I binge-watched the 2nd season of  The Punisher.
Overall it was pretty damn good. It had some slow, dull parts in it, but otherwise the amount of brutal fights, violence and gunplay were more than enough to keep me reeled in.

I wouldn't spoil anything for those who may not have finished it, but it's well-worth watching and wraps up the season, and probably the series as well the way things are going on @Netflix, in a very satisfying manner.

If you haven't started watching it yet, please do.

How is this not already a thing!?

The Punisher versus Nuke is something I can't believe Marvel hasn't already jumped on and made it a thing already.

Seriously, how is the NOT a 4-issue mini-series? or at the very least a big 48-page one-shot!?

They don't even have to kill each other. Just fight.

I mean they're both former, but still well-trained soldiers, and the dialogue of them debating their own unique moral codes would be well worth seeing play out.

DO IT MARVEL! MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

I know it'll probably never happen the way things are currently looking over at Netflix, but goddamn, if they ever do a 3rd season of Punisher, I'd want to see that fight play out there as well.

A guy can dream can't he?

"Follow That!"

I follow this guy right here, David@FakeEyes22:
https://twitter.com/FakeEyes22

and he regularly posts/tweets pics of his action generally doing silly stuff. Must of them are actually pretty clever, with his latest themes centering around dinosaurs and how they interact with some of his other figures.

Check out his Twitter page if you want to see them.

Now he posted after I commented on one of his pics:

Here was my response:

I could've been dirtier and dumber I guess.....

"Frankly My Dear, I Don't Give A Damn."

Just waiting on those Jessica Jones and Blade figures to show up and then finally, I'll my very own Man-Thing...Shut up you!

Now the Punisher figure you saw was not standard issue. Nope, it's kit-bashed.

Kit-bashing is the now common practice of customizing your action figures by swapping out body form other figures to modify or create new ones.

It's really an old practice, and something I used to do myself on the reg with my 3 inch GI Joes. Yeah the rubber band used to always snap after playing them and then I'd have my mom fix 'em, usually by replacing the old rubber-band with an "O" ring. Eventually I just learned to do it myself, which got me into Frankenstein-ing the fuck out of them for my own amusement.

Anyway, I popped the head and hands off the recent ML Walgreens exclusive Jim Lee Punisher w/the bandanna head, and put them on the recent Netflix Man-Thing BAF Wave Punisher figure.

Fantasy Team-Up: The Punisher and The Vigilante

For today's edition of Fantasy team-Up, I' pairing up what I feel would be a very natural pairing in the Punisher and The Vigilante.

This one's seriously a no-brainer, and I've brought it up before, especially in a skit, as seen here:

http://dbsuniverse.blogspot.com/2017/07/dont-forget-to-pack-your-pvds.html

I brought this one up because I see Frank and Adrian having somewhat of a bromance, seeing as how they both have A LOT in common.

Let's take a brief look at the main things they have in common:

  • They both lost their families to Mob violence
  • They both kill criminals
  • They both work outside the law
  • They've both worked with and worked against other superheroes and superhero teams

Now of course the there are some slight differences though.

See Adrian seemed to constantly struggle with his actions as the Vigilante.
At first he used non-lethal methods to fight crime. Then after accidentally killing a corrupt cop, he changed his mind on the whole non-lethal thing, and started popping caps in criminal asses.
This quickly lead to his mental state unraveling more and more, where he'd alternate between bouts of intense anger and paranoid, to intense remorse and guilt for his actions. In the end he couldn't handle it anymore and killed himself.

Frank doesn't really suffer from these mental bouts, well not anymore. While it can be debated whether or not he has mental issues (he probably does as well as well as an extreme case of PTSD)
he's never really felt guilt over killing criminals. That's really his therapy.

Regardless of all that, in a perfect setting, I can see both of these guys working VERY well together, killing criminals, swapping stories about their kills, discussing and exchanging weapon-cleaning tips.

And if Adrian is still working as an attorney, he could become a defense attorney strictly to help keep or get Frank out of jail.

I guess Frank would finally meet a lawyer he'd actually like for a change;)

Something to think about....

Don't Forget To Pack Your PVD's

Holy shit, it's the end of July already....Fuck, where does the time go?

Oh well, might as well finish off the month in style with a brand new skit.
Stop me if you've heard this before, The Punisher, The Vigilante, and Daredevil walk into a bar......

How have Frank and Adrian Chase NOT teamed up already!?!?!?

Seriously, that's like Frank's, or one of Frank's wet dreams, to meat someone like the Vigilante to hang out with and kill criminals together.

Shit, if they ever moved the Vigilante to marvel, I could easily see Frank wanting him to replace DD in their little Netflix superhero team. The Defenders.

I could see it.....

"Closing time. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here."

Well..... I kinda always knew this day would come, and it sure has. It's been a hell of a ride, but it's time to for it end. Ti...
