What Would You Do?

I received a lovely email last week, totally out of the blue, enquiring about some of my crafty goodies (I'll be able to fill you in on the details later in the week).

I'm working on a contracting project at my old workplace at the moment, so the only time that I had available to get everything all stitched up was the weekend.

Now that I have everything finished, I'm having a dilemma. I love this particular cushion so much that I'm not quite sure that I can part with it, but I'm also not quite sure that I have enough time to make a replacement.

What would you do? Is it the curse of the crafter?

A Long Weekend

Sometimes the long weekend is just what you need to re-charge the batteries (while eating Easter Eggs).

I managed to catch up on some sewing.

The Birdie Cushion Cover is in the shop

The Cornwall Cushion is a special order for a lovely Gleaners Inc customer.

I spent a little time daydreaming about this sweet little cradle that I found at the oppy for my nephews.

I also started (and nearly finished) the last nine months of book keeping for my little business.  All those years of experience as an Office Manager certainly come in handy, and I love playing around in excel.

Numbers (and spreadsheets) are one of my secret passions.... (strange but true). I guess I really am still a maths and science nerd after all.

Quiet

I love having a nice quiet day on Good Friday...

 Sold

I been watching the RCH Appeal on the telly (and catching up on Footballers Wives), and I made myself a yummy Tuna Melt for lunch.

In between, I've been whipping up a few new cushion covers...

Next up is a special request for a Cornwall Cushion for a lovely Gleaners Inc customer, and then I may have to indulge in an easter egg or two!

Bunting to the Rescue....

The beautiful coloured bunting has disappeared from Gleaners Inc... but never fear, a brand new batch is heading that way thisafternoon.

I played teatowel lucky dip to decide which country was next on the cushion list....

....and the winner was Suid Afrika (or South Africa to us). Check out that fabbo elephant in the top left hand corner!

If you see anything you like from Gleaners Inc and can't make it into the shop, just get in touch with Liz and she'll organise an online sale for you pronto!

I've added lots of new goodies to the shop too, so pop on over for a little look.

If you're thinking about buying pressies for Christmas, please get in early as there have been lots of reports of delays with Australia Post.

I sent an order to QLD on Nov 2nd which didn't arrive until Nov 15th (13 days later), yet I sent a package to the UK on Nov 11th which arrived on Nov 17th (6 days). It makes no sense!!!

*I have complained to Australia Post and the standard answer was that it can take up to 10 business days for delivery. What the???

Getting Cushy - Part Two

After showing off my most recent foray into cushion making, I'd completely forgotten about these gorgeous cushions that I created for Gleaners Inc.

Scotland..... this one reminded me of my crafty cousin Iona. She runs community craft workshops and has an online eco-shop and a bricks and mortar eco-boutique named Wolf Bones in Glasgow.

Malta...... this one reminded me of Peta Pledger - dressmaker extra-ordinaire

and last but not least Tassie.....

This one reminds me of you Linda!
