Obsessed
I have red ones
I have grey ones
.....and now I also have purple ones (with thanks to my BIL who bought them for me)
PS - I'm need to make some room in the shop for new fabric designs that are on their way. Every purchase receives a free mystery gift until the end of the month - valid in my Big Cartel Shop or my Made It Shop!

Getting back on the Janome
I think my knees need botox
I'm so used to having everything all set up and at my fingertips ready to go when the sewing inspiration hits. With a simple little flick of the on/off switch, off I go.....
So when Tinniegirl came to break me out on Saturday morning, the first stop (before even making it home) was Spotty.
I'd whipped up this second version of the Too Cute Tunic Dress from Pip's book Sew La Tea Do, before I disappeared for a week.
I just didn't have the fabric colour that I wanted to make the bias binding for the trim, so it was left to linger on the ironing board for an entire week.
A quick stop to buy some pre-made binding, and an hour of sewing it into place, and I have another finished dress!
The fabric for this one is actually an old single doona cover that I picked up at the oppy on a little spree with Tinniegirl a couple of years ago.
I'd already used half of the doona cover to make an apron for Sharon, so there was still half left. I carefully cut the pieces to ensure that the decorative print was around the bottom of the dress. Unfortunately, there wasn't quite enough of it, so I've had to splice in a couple of smaller pieces at the side. I'm just pretending that they're a design feature.
I can't wait to wear this one - it'll be really versatile as I can wear it over pants and leggings for winter!
Oh, and check out my new shoes that I bought while I was on holidays - I now have grey ones just like my red ones.

Clicketty Click
My new shoes arrived in the post yesterday.....
In fact, I nearly tripped over them. I'd forgotten to put my garbage bin out on the street the night before and I heard the garbage truck hurtling down the street, so I grabbed a bag of rubbish and headed out the front door.
My lovely postie had jammed the postpak between my flywire door and my heavy door, and I wasn't watching where I was going (and I was wearing moccasins) ..... and it was very nearly an absolute disaster.
Today I'm celebrating not ending up with a broken ankle by wearing my new shoes - with trackie dacks (as you do).

My place and yours - shoes
Next to my sewing table
I have far too many shoes and I can't seem to ever put them away. I usually always take them off as I walk into the house, and leave them wherever they lay, or if my feet get hot, I take them off and leave them wherever I happen to be sitting.
So today, I wandered around the house to see what I could find.
Next to my cutting table
Under the coffee table x 2
On the floor in my bedroom
On the floor in my walk in robe
Now this is actually where they should be!
