Grad Card Season by Shanna

Hi SRM family!  Shanna here today to show you a couple creative cards to celebrate that special graduate in your life!  My oldest is about to finish her junior year in high school...so NO graduating this year (this mama can't even!) but she does have a few good friends who will be graduating.  I took the opportunity to create a couple cards utilizing her school colors, black and purple, but they could be easily modified to whatever color scheme needed.

I discovered I don't own many graduation stamps, but I really wanted to stamp on these cards. So I sifted through my SRM stamps and came across my Birthday Plans set...BINGO!  This set worked perfectly to create some backgrounds to die cut out for my cards!  I first stamped out "panels" of the images I intended to die cut, and then ran them through the big shot with my die of choice.  I grabbed my Take 2 Stickers by the dozen/Graduation stickers for my medallion sentiments and my cards were complete!
I used the celebrate border stamp, hooray, and the balloon icon to make a total of 3 panels.

Take a look and let me know what you think!

I really wanted a bolder splash of color, so I chose to watercolor the balloons purple with my watercolor twist pencils.  Easy peasy and just what I had envisioned!
Supplies used:
Miscellaneous purple twine
Versafine Black ink

Thanks for stopping by!

Over the Rainbow Party by Jenn

Hi friends, Jenn here! My oldest daughter is about to turn 7 and has asked for a bright colorful rainbow unicorn party, so today I will be sharing some fun ideas that are sure to put a great big smile on your face!

Yesterday I shared my planner pages that had lots of details about my daughter's birthday.  Today I am sharing lots of things that I created for the party.  Ready for inspiration?  Let's go!

First up lets talk about the invitations... I used a plain white cardstock and stamped the star bunting and celebrate from the birthday planner stamps in clear embossing ink then embossed with white. I noticed I had the exact number of colors in the rainbow as stars so I used the color in Le Plume markers and colored them onto a a clear acrylic stamp block and used them like watercolor with my water brush. At the bottom I added the same colors over the embossed celebrate words to make the words pop off the page and also bring more color to the invite.

I really wanted to create treat bags or favor bags for the party....I used the glassine bags and filled them with colorful skittles and tied a little bakers twine around them with a yellow scalloped circle with the words Rainbow seeds. That was it...super simple, cute and will be fun to display.

I hope I have sparked a little creativity and inspiration in you all. I love seeing what you create with the beautiful SRM sticker products so please share using #srmstickers on instagram and Facebook....looking forward to seeing what you all create!

Rainbow Birthday Week by Jenn

Hello friends, Jenn here! I am very eager to show you a very special week in my planner this month, my daughter's 7th birthday.  Bring on the confetti, cake, rainbows and sunshine and lets jump on into this super bright cheerful spread.

I began by pulling out my planner stamps, rainbow washi, birthday stickers, and a little fun rainbow scrapbook paper cut to the boxes of my erin condren planner (1.5"x2"). I really like having a weekend banner in my planner spreads, so I chose this adorable star garland from 'Birthday Plans'. To color in the stars I used my le plume II markers colored onto an acrylic block picking up the color with my waterin blending brush. I used this same technique to color in the coffee cup on my Friday. One more quick technique ...if you love the look of patterns and no whitespace planning try using small stamps to create patterns. Washi tape is my secret to clean lines and perfect looking boxes...just be very very careful when removing and repositioning the tape it is very easy to pull the top layer off the paper.

I hope this gives you a little inspiration and perhaps a new technique or two to try. Be blessed sweet friends as you plan your beautiful life...each day is a gift spend and share it wisely.

Hooray... Happy Birthday Card by Jennifer

Hello! My name is Jennifer Powell and I am very excited to be one of the new faces on the design team. I am a busy stay at home momma to three kiddos and one very sweet little dog...oh and I can't forget my very understanding husband. Northwest Iowa is the place we have called home for the last eight years. I am a lover of all things coffee, Bible journaling, planning, homeschooling, and making my everyday life a little more beautiful and crafty. I am so looking forward to playing, posting and hopefully providing fun inspiration to get you all up and crafting!

Today I am sharing a birthday card.
I was inspired by the background plaid paper and knew right away I wanted to create a more rugged masculine card. I had these fun wooden star pieces that added to the woodsy feel I was trying to create. I stamped the 'Happy Birthday to you' in a very subtle black and embossed it to create texture. After stamping the word 'Hooray' on the banner in StazOn ink I thought it need just a small punch of color so in came the cute twine bow.

On the inside of the card I used the leftover pieces from the front background paper as well as a SRM birthday clear sticker

I had so much fun using this Birthday Plans stamp on my card!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a crafty day!

Baptism Tip In by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here with you today. I have a Bible journaling baptism tip-in to share that uses lots of SRM stamps!  A tip-in is kind of like a bookmark.  Sometimes you may not want to journal in your Bible but you have something special that you want to have tucking into your Bible.  That's where a tip-in works well.

First up, here's everything I used to create my tip-in:

For stamps I combined BIG Trinity, I AmBirthday Plans, and Today Tomorrow To Do. By combining a few pieces from multiple stamp sets I was able to create something completely new and different than I would have if I stuck to only one set. I colored in my stamped words with ColorIn Watercolor Pencils

There are different reasons to create a tip in, but as you can see from the picture above, I created a tip in because I had already journaled on the page containing the verse I wanted to use (You can find all the details on the I am with you always page here). Instead of deciding I just couldn't journal about the verse I wanted to do, I added an extra page to my Bible in the form of a tip in so I would have more space.

I created my journaling with dates my sons were each baptized on a separate piece of paper (I chose a piece of faith patterned paper, but you could use card stock, journaling tags, or even vellum). Then I attached the page inside my Bible with a little bit of washi tape.

This baptism tip in is a great way to add some important dates to my Bible in a place where I've already journaled. Have you ever created a tip in?

Mini Celebrate Card Set by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here.
Today, I'm sharing a sweet little card set with you.

Aren't those little ice cream cones adorable?!...Yum! :)

Now because these ice cream cones are on the smaller side, I wanted to use more than one on my cards.

I simply thought of a couple different layouts to use with them and then made two cards each with the layouts. Once done, I did some coloring with colored pencils and then added a simple sentiment underneath my cones.

To finish things off, I added all my cards and envelopes in a embossed glassine bag tied off with some jute twine. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

June Planner Pages by Melanie

How is it June already? 2017 is going by so quickly. Good thing I have my planner to keep me on track :). Melanie here today to share some planner fun!

I gathered some SRM supplies together to work on my June pages. I appreciate how easy it is to match the stickers, stamps, and pens. Plus, because I didn't need any tools, this project was great to complete on-the-go while waiting for my son at baseball practice.

It is fun to mix and match the stamps and stickers together for an event. I also used the Le Pens to trace over the stamp lines to give more color to the page. With their fine tip, this works really well. And the fine tip is helpful for coloring in small details on stamped images.

Now that the pages are done, I am ready to head into June . . . well, maybe not quite. :)

Rainbow Hearts by Michele

Good morning friends! Michele here with a fun rainbow card using the cute little heart from the Birthday Plans stamp set.  I repeated the heart in a cascading pattern and colored them in rainbow order.  I added clear Wink of Stella and then glossy accents over each.  I added some dots in between the hearts for a bit more interest.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink.

I adhered a few coordinating rhinestones and clear dew drops.  I adhered my panel to bright pink card stock and thought it needed a little somethin' somethin.'  So I added some faux stitching around the panel with my

When I am feeling a bit creatively challenged, I tend to go to my favorite stamping technique....repeating a small stamp!  (And rainbows never hurt either! LOL)

Thank you so much for stopping my sweet friends!

St. Patty's Day Tubes by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here with you today. We love St. Patty's Day at our house. I have some Irish ancestry, so we make sure to do it up right. This year I thought it would be fun to use the SRM tubes to make some pot of gold and rainbow favors.

When using the clear tubes, I always like to start off with some cute tags. I used the scalloped circles Punched Pieces in black, blue, and green to created my tags.

I think the both sides of the tag should be equally cute, so I added a Happy St. Patty's Day to the front. On the back I either used the shamrock sticker from the Calendar Companion stickers, or I stamped a shamrock using the heart stamp from the Birthday Plans stamp set

For my rainbow tubes I used the long, narrow Magic Wand Tube. Skittles work really well in them! 7 of each color of Skittle will fill them up.

For my pots of gold Tubes I added Rolos to the Mini Tubes. 7 Rolos will fill up these tubes perfectly. I thought they needed something more, so I added a little green Sticker Stitches Border sticker to the bottom.

I finished up with attaching my tags with a little blue or green jute twine. Sláinte! and I hope you have a wonderful St. Patty's.

Planner Stamps Not Just for Planners by Michele

Hello crafty friends! Michele here with a birthday card using the Birthday Plans, planner stamps. These little stamps are so versatile and perfect for creating a fun background!  I stamped them in a water color safe black ink.  I used my Zig Clean color markers. In between the images I added touches of gray for shadows. I  added a bit of shimmer and shine using glossy accents and glittery Stickles.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of paper in pink and added a bit of black and white twine.  I used a small felt circle and sequin for the center of my bow.

It's fun to think about other uses for our stamps!  Here's the one I used!

Calendar Layout by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today I'm sharing something I haven't made in a looong time...like, over 12 yrs or so long time. lol What is it you ask?...Well, my title most likely gave it away (lol) but...

Check it out!

A layout!?!...Yep. I made a layout. I wanted to something different and upon thinking of things, a layout came to my mind. So, I went with it. ;)

I used a bunch of SRM Stickers goodies and just had some fun! I chose to do layout of our dog because in January is her birthday.

I placed my photo where I wanted it to be and just started working around it, so to speak. I also wanted to keep things 'clean' so I did leave lots of white.

Fun and sweet, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

December Planner Pages by Christine

If there was ever a time of year that my planner is absolutely needed it is December!  Christine joining you today with a peek into my first week of December!

I used a combination of stickers and stamps from SRM to make this week's spread. I filled it up with lots of color and fun stickers but also left a little room in each day to add more to them! My Black Le Pen was perfect for writing in my own info as it doesn't bleed thru to the back sides!

I used the School Planner Stamp as well as the Birthday Planner Stamp.  To separate activities I stamped a part of the stitch border from the Birthday set and stamped that into the time.

I still kind of prefer stickers to stamps in my planner so I went ahead and did a whole bunch of those!  I pulled out all my Christmas stickers and used a wide variety from the following list:
Live Life/Christmas - Big Red Merry Christmas
Sticker Stitches/Christmas - Stitching strips
We've Got Your Sticker/Merry - Santa/Stocking/Tree space fillers and big "Merry"

I love how stickers add color and can fill up a space that is otherwise kind of blah.  How cute are those candy borders too!?!
