School Photo....update on the house

So I can't even believe how big my girly is getting let alone that she is getting her first school photos. But I will say she is such a cutie and that smile just makes my day. We had our first parent teacher conference and man was that weird to think I could be the mom going to parent teacher conference. The nice thing is though it was great. We got to see how our smart cookie is doing. I love my Little "Risa"....for those of you who don't know her nick name in Spanish means laughter...which was really funny because it was her cousins that gave her that nick name which really fits her well!!


House update....
So things are going pretty good with the house preparations....we should be moving in right before the end of the month....we have all of the texture and most of the painting done...we started on putting up the little piece of fence to keep the dogs and kiddos in and we got the posts in for that. I would have photos but well the camera has gone missing so as soon as I find it we will be up and running again....got to love how you can misplace a camera so easy. This week we are finishing the painting, putting in tile for the fireplace, refinishing the cupboards, and taking out the carpet and linoleum in the kitchen so the wood floors under all of that can be finished..........
It will be fun!!!

Cant wait till we have the house...

So we have had fun with the whole buying a house process...ok so I will admit it is not my fav. But i am super excited for when we actually get in. We will hopefully close on the house the first part of Sept. and then we will have our own stomping ground. So excited.

Other things we have been doing is getting stuff for Marisa to start school. I will admit that I am really sad, nervous and excited for her all in the same breath. I really can't believe that my baby girl is now a big school girl.

I know not a super long post but none the less more than was here yesterday!! :D

On the Move....

Welcome to this addition of this old house...........

So we moved to price and sold our house but we lost a bit on our house and the repairs that we were just going to live with my parents for a while to build a house and or get something with land (which is super nice of my parents to take on our whole heard)...but after we got the house sold we started getting more antsy so we decided it was time to get into our own place.....

So we found this cute little house that was in the price range. It is a little old but has lots of potential...It is located about a block and 1/2 from the college and it is about 3 to 4 bocks from work :D (Save on gas money) So here is the grand tour..........

This is the front of the house although I think they took out the bushes.... If not they will be gone.

I love this little laundry room...I also love that it is on the main floor... :D In our last house I had to go down two flights of stairs to get from our rooms to the laundry room.

This kitchen makes me laugh it has a really old stove and oven and I really think that if sears still knew that they worked they would want them for advertising proof that their appliances last...because these sure have!! It is really cute though.

The cupboards in this house are painted weird stripy colors but that is nothing that a little paint can change!! So excited for the challenge. But I love how big the kitchen is. I am thinking of painting the cupboards white and the walls kind of a gray color and doing a sort of cowboy kitchen. If anyone sees anything really cute for a kitchen let me know!!!

This is the downstairs bedroom

This is the backyard. It has two doors one that is off the laundry room and one that is right in front of the downstairs. On thing that we like about this house is the potential to turn the downstairs into a rental so we can save money for another house. But we will see what we end up doing. I love how there is a really cute little patio that I am sure we will get some great use out of!!

This is the front room and yes there is a ot of paneling. But that is nothing that a bit of hard work and paint can't fix.

This room will be our master bedroom.

And one of my favorite things!!! The backyard!!! It has a really cute little garden spot already there. I am so super excited.

But this is our new adventure. If everything goes good we will be closing on it the end of august beginning of September. Then the work begins. We are going to do some serious painting and decorating. Wish us luck.

I have been trying to come up with some fun ideas for painting because well if you are going to paint anyways might as well do something fun right!! :D so here are some of the ideas that I have....if anyone has some other fun things that they have seen let me know!!

This is the colors that I want to do the kids room. With a slight change where the color pallet is going to be green and white on the walls and pink and blue for accent colors. It should turn out pretty cute!!

These flowers are the colors that I want in my front room. I want to do white on the walls and my furniture is brown and tan and I want to do accents of yellow and green and black. We will see but I think that is what I am going for :D

I want to do a cowboy kitchen but I have not settled on a color I know I want Burgundy accents and white cabinets...but a color I am not sure of. We will see what we end up with :D I do know that I want to make or get a big tin star for the kitchen.

Oh and you did not get to see the downstairs bathroom but imagine if you will seventy's green and orange shag arrangement on the wall behind the toilet and orange Bright orange tile if you will!! More photos to come after we get in but I know you cant wait.

Happy Birthday Skyler!! The Big Number 1!!!

Skyler had such a fun birthday full of Blue Sand, Mac and Cheese, and Chicken Nuggets, Dirt Cake and tons of laughs and giggles. Yes my little boy is 1 and I can hardly belive it. Although the little man is not so little so I can belive it in some ways. Daddy decided that we needed to measure him on his birthday and he is 32in tall. We have not quite mastered the walking thing but man we can crawl all over the place and we love to jabber. We can say Mom, Dad, Chocolate, Hot and all of the other essentials...lol. We love this little guy and are so glad that he is in our family. Happy Birthday my Little SKY GUY!!

Skyler tried to cover every part of his body with sand including his head!!

I have to say this is the coolest sand....you think that you are going to come out all colored in blue...but then you dust yourself off and the blue is gone. Love it...what is really funny is unlike regular sand you can see this sand all over your house too!! :D Makes it pretty easy to clean up!!

We all had a pretty fun day!!! Happy birthday buddy!!!

Fun at Lagoon...

What do you do when the hubby's away....that's right....PLAY!!! It was a lot of fun we went with the family to lagoon. What was funny is that most of the girls were missing their hubby and man did that make that day a lot more fun spending time with family and watching the kiddos have a great time. Marisa loved all the rides and would race from one ride to the next. Skyler was a bit to small for most of the rides but there were three that he could do...bumper cars, carousel, and the boats...and what was his favorite...yep the boats. Although he did get a kick out of the carousel and had to bounce up and down on the horse just as if the horse was moving up and down. I think riding horses is in his blood. He did not get that one from his mom. The last time I went horseback riding the person who took us which I ended up in the new era...told me that I rode just like a sac of potato's. But Skyler loved every min of it. Here are a few photos of the adventure......

This is Skyler's little buddy...they had a great time poking each others eyes out...which was nothing compared to what he did to his sister. Skyler was sitting next to his cousin and well all of a sudden we realized what he had in his hand.....a handful of her hair...not just a few hairs...a handful!!! Man she has a really hard head because she did not feel in until the second time that Skyler did it...man that kid has a grip...and he love hair...I know kind of crazy but you know the my little pony's well he loves to take those and shove the hair into his mouth because he loves to feel the hair on his tongue....and when I say shove he really puts it all in his mouth...it is enough that it would totally make me gag..but he love it go figure.

Ok this is the other thing that she got from her dad...guns...look at that face!! That is all that I have to say.

Little Man...cave man kisses

Ok so I know it has been a while but here is our little man....who now has 4 teeth.. :D

If you ever need a great big hug or need to hear a little jibber jabber he is your man...lol.

He has great "Cave Man Kisses" (as grandma cox calls them which I think is a perfect explanation)...he will grab your hair/face and pull you in as hard as he can and open mouth kiss you..if you are lucky you even get the teeth a little. No worries though because he usually eases off after he feels his teeth on your face. I love those little CAVE MAN KISSES (if you are coming for kisses make sure you bring a towel...a big one!!)

Ok so in reality it is really our new car...but our amazing rental....i is going to be hard to give up...i mean it who gets to drive a truck as their rental....oh ya!!!....but here it is in all its glory.....The real new car....

Four door and full of raw...ok older power but ours none the less. :D We decided to buy a beater car in the mean time while we are trying to take care of trying to get a house and it would give us time to shop around and find the car that we really want later....and heck who does not need a beater car to make you feel like you are in high school again...oh the memories...mabie I can get locked out of this one too and have my feet dangeling out the midget window breaking into this car too and mabie some day it will be upgraded to the really cool duck tape to hold parts together... :D
Ok so this is not the exact car but it is one pretty similar if we end up getting it :D

Under Contract

So we put our house on the market and well we did not have super hopes of actually getting our house sold in this crazy market...but it is offically under contract. We are holding our breath next comes the inspection and apprasial. Hopefully we will get it sold and start our house or Land hunt here!! Wish us Luck!! :D

UGGGgggggg!!!

Well today I am venting out the frustrations that haunts all us women after you have a baby...yes the "Biggest Loser Challenge" ....take that however you want to. lol ;D

So we started this competition with extended family and have done it as couples starting in the middle of jan...and well we have not won one of the months...ugg!!!! We weigh in every week and at the end of four weeks the winner gets to move some coins to their jar...and guess how many we have.....yep a Big Fat "0"

I will say that I am pretty happy though because slowly...might I add slowly we are losing weight...except for my dad who well can lose 6 lbs a week (which is amazing!!!way to go dad) But this week is ours and well I thought this cartoon was pretty funny and would make all of you moms out there laugh a bit!! Enjoy!!!

PS. My wedding ring actually goes on my finger all the way...still a little tight but it goes on...Progress!!!

Happy Birthday My Pretty girl....we are the big 5...school ready or not here we come!!

Little Big Man!!! We officially have 2 teeth...and are pretty big...8 months old and in 18 month old clothes. He is my BIG SKY!!

He loves paper....Anything paper is great to tear up.
