Stake Conference

Let me begin by saying this is Seth - not Melanie, and also that this is my first time every doing anything with our blog besides reading it and occasionally commenting on things I see. We had a great weekend. Elder M. Russell Ballard of the 12 Apostles came and spoke along with Jon M. Huntsman of the 70. The spirit was so strong we are very blessed. I can't help think how blessed we are to have Profets, Seers, and Revelators that can come to as small a place as Price utah in order to strengthen and encourage the saints. There were many great things said but I would like to share one of them. Elder Ballard told us that a testimony has two parts what we know in our mind and in our heart. The gosple appeals to people that are intellegent because it makes sense but that is not enough. In order to get through the rough times we need to have felt in our heart that it is true. Given enough time and hardship a person may begin to doubt what they know about the gosple and their Savior Jesus Christ but what they know in their heart stays with them and can carry them through the dificult times when their testimony really comes under attack. If you pause and think about the times that you have felt the spirit I seriously doubt that you can doubt that the Gosple of Jesus Christ is true. I am so thankful for the Gosple and living profets on the earth today that remind us of the truths that we already know and also guide us to be better. I hope we can all remember the moments the spirit has touched our lives and remember how it felt and them strive to keep that feeling with us all the time because that is truely how we will be happy.
