Other things going on....

We got a new elder at our house....Elder Lopez.  So now we have Elder Lopez and Elder Ayala.  Changes are fun...because you get to know someone new!!!  We are really excited about this companionship because they seem to be on the run and fired up.  Which for this area is such a good thing!!!  For seth's birthday they gave him a blue tie that is the same as theirs...so ofcourse we had to take a photo.  The kiddos have really warmed up to this elder even though he has only been here for a week.  It is really alot of fun to be a small part of the missionary work and to be able to get to know different sets of young men that are going out to share the gostpul.

This is not the best photo of me but this is one of my favorite times of the day.  In the morning sky and I and the little baby in my tummy have a cuddle session for about 5 min or so.  It feels my heart and starts out the day just right!!!

It was funny because the day that we had a yard sale we were running starting at 6 in the morning and we hit close to lunch time and skyler said to me "Mommy I did not get my hugs this morning"  A little later he said "Mommy I did not get to feel the baby" and even a little later he said "We did not read the scriptures this moring"  This little man has his routine and when it does not happen he feels like things are missing in the world.  I have to admit that I feel the same way!!!  I love these little moments every day in the morning!!!

Because it has been super hot these past few days (100+ degrees) we have done alot of things inside and close to the cooler.  One of the kiddos things that they like to do is read books.  Risa has gotten so good at reading now that skyler will sit and she can read to him.  Today they even had other buddies listening!!!

Birthday Fun

This last Thursday Seth turned the big 30!!!  Even though he was turning 30 I dont think he felt like it though because the kiddos had so much fun picking out his presents. 

We made a fun cake for daddy that had Legos that the kids picked out!!!

That is what you call awesome fuego!!!!

As for the other present that the kiddos got their daddy they found him this....I think this is one of the coolest things I have seen.  Lego's have come a long way!!!  This thing has so many cool joints!!!

This is all of the legos that they picked out!!!  So we had food, cake and played legos for daddies birthday...it was tons of fun!!!

Fun with new Callings!!!

This last little bit has been a bit of a challenge for me just because of my current state (prego and feeling it) but I got called to be the YW president for the branch and start the program.  It has been so much fun working with these girls!!  We had our first temple trip of the year and we really had a good time and we had a pretty good turn out.  We had some names that we got so the adults some of them were even able to do names.  It was so fun especially to watch those who were there for the first time.  I remember the first time that I went to the temple and how I loved the spirit there.  It was fun to watch that happening for these youth!!  I love the Manti Temple!!!!

Other fun youth adventures that we have had is we had girls camp.  I really did not trust myself to drive to scofield by myself because every time that I get in the car I get instant contractions so seth drove me up to girls camp.  I only got to go one night but I went to the fireside that night and the kiddos and their daddy went for a hike.  Skyler has been asking so many times to go to the mountains...so this was his chance.  They went hiking and played in the stream, found walking sticks and hiked alot!!!

It has been really fun watching these girls grow in the gostpul and just in general. 

Fun with family.....

I am super slow getting these things posted but a little while back we got to go to Cedar and have fun with family.  The kiddos got to go to uncle heath's house and have their first experience milking a cow.  Skyler thought that was so cool.  He keeps on saying that we should get a cow and that they are so cute!!  Marisa really had fun too!

Daddy got to help uncle heath a few times milk the cow too and I think it brought back a few memories of him milking a cow as a kid.  He did say that he got a good forarm workout

Another fun thing that happed while we were at grandma's is marisa learned how to ride a bike....she was so excited and proud.  I really think that this is the first time that she has had a really hard time doing what she wanted.  She has been working on it for a while but she really had to work hard and struggle....but then she finally did it and she was so proud of herself.  It was a really good lesson of working hard and continuing to work hard even though it does not seem like it is going to happen but then having it happen just because you worked hard.



We also got to go swimming!!!  They have an amazing swimming pool in cedar and the kiddos had a fun time playing with cousins in the pool.



We had tons of fun but the big reason why were were in cedar was for these two cute families....Kodi was baptized on saturday!!!  It was such a special day and she, as always looked beautiful but especially this day she was beaming!!  We are so proud of you Kodi!!!



Also on Sunday (which was super nice and convienient for this prego mama) we got to go to a baby blessing of a beautiful baby girl.  Leisl was blessed and it was so fun to be a part of this special day.  There is nothing better then seeing a beautiful baby in a beautiful dress....and being so loved!!! 

It was such a great weekend!!!!

Project Time......

So I have decided that I needed to start or finish a few projects this last little bit because I knew that it would be a little more hectic after the baby arrived so I have been doing a few things.  I finally cut all of the jeans that I had been saving....400+ squares.  This is for a future present for christmas.  I have most of it all sewen together but I cant post it here because there are eyes...lol.  Yes I know that it is for christmas and this is really early which I am sure you are thinking on top of it...but some of my other projects were finishing skylers baby quilt.  Yep you can say it slacker...lol.

I did not take photos of them but I also fixed dresses of marisa, fixed all of seth's suits, turned one of marisas old jumper dresses into a skirt, and started teaching myself how to make croche baby shoes.  I am going to try and make the babies shoes for her blessing.  Along with those we went through the whole house and garage and got rid of things and had a yard sale this last saturday.  Nesting anyone??  lol  Ok so I might be!!!  But it has been fun to finish a few things that I really have wanted to get done.  We will see how much more I can get done before the baby comes!!
