This was an activity that we did with the sisters in the branch.  Translated it says "I love you because" and has a line underneath that you can write on with a dry erase marker.  So you can leave little notes.  They all turned out very cute and unique.

Cooking Time!!!

We have added a few new fun recipes to the family favorites and well the kiddos really especially love one of them.  7 Layered Jello!!!  It takes a while to make but it is something that the kids can do and they love the results.  Each one got to take turns doing a layer.  These are my little chef's

I know this is not much to look at but this is another one of our new fav's of recipes that we don't do all of the time but it is yummy.  The original recipe was shrimp Portafino but we changed it up to be chicken.  But it has chicken, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms and you put it over rice.  I know not much to look at but super yummy!!!!

I know that you want some!!!  The Creamy looking layer has Vanella yogart mixed in the jello.  We even made home made whipped topping.

We were all pretty happy with the results.

We even made some for the missionaries and put it in their fridge....I felt bad though because they were on splits with the other missionaries so only one of the ones that lives with us got to enjoy every seven layers...lol  :D

New Happeneings for the New Year at the Oveson's House!!!

Well the Oveson's have had a few changes happen at our house.....fairly big ones:

Seth went to a Leadership meeting and at the meeting they asked if anyone had room for the missionaries at their house.  Which was kind of funny because we cleaned out the downstairs room because Seth's cousin was debating moving in with us so we got that room all ready.  Well he decided that he was just going to live at home and we left that room empty.  So when Seth was at this meeting he felt like we should let them know that we had the room.  We felt that it would be an amazing experience for our kids to see the missionaries so much so we decided to do it.  Seth sent the email and we did not hear anything back for a few months.  Then out of the blue we got a phone call saying that they wanted to come and see the room and the space.

The missionaries moved in this last week.  I have not been able to snatch a photo but when I do I will post it!

That is not the only fun change that has happened at the oveson's we are now expecting another little oveson the end of June beginning of July!!  We are so super excited and feel so happy and blessed!!!  Who does not love new and exciting news!!

Super fun New Year's Suprizes

It was so much fun we got to have Grandma and Papa Cox come to visit for New Year's.  We had tons and tons of fun!!

Risa wrapped papa's gift in a very unique way.  She decided that Papa's gift needed to be wrapped in mega blocks.

Grandma and Papa brought some fun gifts for the kiddos to open too from them and grandma Claudia.  The kids loved that because they got to open more presents.

This is the beautiful cape and crown that grandma cox made.  Risa Loves it!!!! I just hope I can get her to wear normal clothes...lol

What is new years without crowns and little blowers.  Skyler was not so sure about the crown but he was really into the blower especially when he figured out that he could use it as a weapon...completely boy!!

Along came the backup!!!!  Don't tell anyone but we ended up celebrating the new year at about 8:00.

These are the hats and scarves that we all helped make for grandma and papa.  The kiddos even helped.  It was a little bit of an interesting task to help the kiddos learn how to do it but we did get then finished....and don't they look cuddly and warm!!

Christmas Day!!!

This year was a Garvin Christmas so we went and stayed at Grandma's and Grandpa's house over night.  It was fun because we had aunts and uncles and my Grandma Parkinson there.  

This is Skyler coming down the stairs to see presents.  He was a little excited this year.  He actually understood what was going on.

Skyler got a Lego Toy Story Train.  He liked it so much every one else was encouraging him to open other presents and well he was super interested in just playing.  It was super cute!!

Risa really wanted an American Girl Doll that looked just like here.  Hey are they twins??  She was super excited to see kit!!

This is Sky buddies little train....the characters are so super cute and it is so fun to play with him

His sister got him a bigger buzz lightyear and as soon as he opened the bigger buzz lightyear he faced them towards each other and said "I'm Buzz lightyear....no I'm Buzz lightyear"  and that continued over and over.  I laughed so hard.  Amazing what kids remember from cartoons.  Especially considering he has only seen that movie maybe 4 times.

I got a few really fun presents this Christmas that I super love....Grandma and Grandpa Garvin Gave us this beautiful photo of the temple which I love love love!!!

                                    
And my cute honey gave me another painting.....I know he spoiled me.  We had a painting done of Marisa when she was 2 years old and I told Seth that I really wanted one of each of my kiddos when they were 2 years old.  I keep telling them not to grow up...but of course they don't listed so i figure this is a way I can keep them two always!  I know alot of people call the two's the terrible two's but I will tell you that if I had a favorite age it would be this.  Don't get me wrong they are so beautiful when they are babies but they hit two and their personality just starts to appear in full forces and they start talking in sentences and saying the funniest things.  They are so squishy and cuddly and they are so much fun to play with.  I love the two's can you tell!!  :D  But I opened this and it made me cry...way to go honey!!

Rob Wilson Seth's cousin did both of these and they are amazing!!  Thank you Robbie for having such an amazing talent that you share!

I only feel bad because Seth will have to spend a little more in about 2 1/2 years on another one!!  So exciting!!
