STAMPtember - Day Eleven - Celebrate America

Hi everyone.  Today's a somber day for everyone, I know it is for me.  This day kind of haunts me, and I feel like it always serves as a reminder of how different our country was back then.  No one tried to politicize the terrorist attacks, we all came together, we supported our country as a whole, it was so different than we are now.

I always make a card for today, usually a thank you card, which this would work for, to honor those who were lost, and those who risked their lives to help.

I will not let someone else--anyone else but especially not a dementia ridden pervert psychopath--tell me what I'm going to put in my body.

Originally I had a patriotic card to share to remember what happened on this day in 2001.  But I've made another card, an empowering card.

I don't usually share the products I'm using unless it's a DT post, but here I will link to the Colorado Craft Company America Strong stamp set that I used for this card.  I encourage you all to buy this stamp and FIGHT for your freedom, for your family, for the future.

Original text: Twenty years ago we faced the worst day our country has ever seen.  I know many are oblivious to this nowadays, they've forgotten because facing the truth is harder than hiding from it.  But we were attacked, and we can never forget that and never stop fighting for our country and our freedoms.  Period.

Later on today I'll share a happier card, but for right now, I've got a patriotic card to honor what happened twenty years ago today.

Bravery - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post

happy Tuesday everyone!  I know it's not the happiest of days, being 9-11, but I wanted to do something patriotic and uplifting for my Brea Reese brand ambassador post today.  I knew inititally that I wanted to hand-draw a flag with the Fineliner Brights pens, but the star portion was an accident. 

I had some scraps lying around painted with the Watercolor Inks, and I thought, those would make great stars.  I pulled out a Momenta star punch and made the stars. I did go over them with a second layer of watercolors just to deepen the tones and add some shading.
