Just For Giggles International Moment of Laughter IG Hop

31 Days of Crafting - Day Thirty-One - BIG Birthday Box Card!!

WOW, I made it!  Every year I hope to finish this month exactly how I want to and there is always a hiccup!  This year I am super proud of my final project to share, a GIANT birthday box card that was a custom order.  There was a LOT of work involved in this project, lots of layers and test projects to get it just right.  In the end though, I love how it turned out!!

This card is too sparkly, said NO ONE EVER!!

I mean, really.  I love custom jobs because they make magic happen.

When the card is flattened, it looks like this:

The large purple panel is for the personal message.

This is how the card looked all full of tickets.  This was possibly one of my favorite projects to make, EVER!!!

31 Days of Crafting - Day Twenty-Nine - Pooh Birthday Banner

Earlier this month, I shared the birthday card I made for my niece's first birthday.  Her party had a Winnie the Pooh theme, and I also made two banners and other decorations.  Today I wanted to share the banners that I made, I'm really proud of them.

This is the main banner I made.  I wish it was easier to see it up close and still see the whole thing but it was quite long lol.

You can see the detail and the Pooh font a little better in this photo :)

Here you can see both banners before I added the photos to the second banner.  It was hard to get it to hang well because the clothespins I glued on to hang the photos made it quite heavy.  I didn't want to share the photos but everyone was super happy with it.  YAY!

I actually had so much fun making this card.  I had to research what November's birth flower is, and it's chrysanthemum, and then I had to raid my stash for something I could use.  I got this set from Unity Stamp Co. along with some astrological stamps last year and had forgotten all about it.  The stamps are TINY but I made it work.  And I just love this card sketch, you might see different variations of this card in the future :)

**CRAFTY KICKOFF IG HOP** - Week Two - Birthstones

Now I have to admit that I have always hated my birthstone!  Being a November baby, topaz is my birthstone and a yellowy-brown stone was like the worst thing for a Barbie Girl like me to get.  Strangely enough though, when I was eight and getting my ears pierced, everyone wanted me to get the little gold balls but I chose my birthstone instead.  I'm pretty sure that's the only time I've ever picked it for anything! Anyways, I didn't want to literally put a big ole topaz stone on my card, so I went with the color, and some stones.  I mixed that with my favorite color, purple, and some matte gold shimmer to make my card.  I actually love how it turned out.

**ANYTHING GOES** New Challenge with The Creative Crafters!!

Happy middle-of-the-month!  It's the fifteenth and that means it's time for a new challenge at Creative Crafters!  As always our challenge is Anything Goes!!!  I swear, I think I spent ten years making this card.  In the end, it came out really cute and I love it, but MAN.

I think my die cutting machine started smoking with this one.  I used my Diamond Press Marquis for everything but the "crepe paper" streamers and balloon strings.  They both cut better with my Big Shot.  And I tried something different with the balloon strings, I didn't put adhesive on my cardstock and instead used Bearly Art glue.  I approve of how it turned out!

See those cupcakes??  They're about a quarter of an inch each. Assembled.  And they're three parts.  Lots of Coke and Ruffles were involved in the creation of those cupcakes.  And I can't forget my current embellishment tool (I think the one I haven't broken yet is Pinkfresh Studios?), every crafter should have five of them!

31 Days of Crafting - Day Thirty-One - 100 Years of Wonder, Magic, Movies and Memories

I cannot believe this month is over.  What a crazy, crafty, caffeinated, chocolate-fueled, fandom frenzy these last thirty-one days have been.  This March seemed crazier than usual (possibly the three snow/ice storms had something to do with that!!) if you ask me, now I need a nap!!

Anyways, I wanted my last card to celebrate one of things I love most in this world.  No, it's not a coffee-themed card, or vampires, or something related to Jason Dohring.

It's DISNEY.

Disney is currently celebrating 100 Years of Wonder, but it's so much more than that.  For my entire life, Disney has been a huge part of it.  The movies, toys, I may have mentioned my obsession with the Mickey Mouse Club once or twice.  I just love all of it.

(NOT.  MARVEL.  NOT.  STAR WARS.)

So I made this.  Mainly Mickey, yes, but it features lots of characters because they're (almost) all important!!
