31 Days of Crafting - Day Eight - Caffeinated Cuties

So last year, I didn't make a card for International Women's Day because I wanted to rebel against all the propaganda the media puts out there.  We don't deserve awards just because we're women, we want recognition for who we are and what we do, without attaching our genders to it!  Sorry, rant over.  Anyways, this year I DID want to make a card for women because I was watching Gilmore Girls, which I adore, and while yes, there are plenty of men in Stars Hollow, at the core, the show is about Lorelai and Rory and their relationship.  So I made this card in celebration of THAT.

Lorelai in Blue

You all know how much I love Gilmore Girls.  This Unity stamp feels like Lorelai to me.  (they have a LOT of stamps that feel like Lorelai to me.  I love creating with them.)

31 Days of Crafting - Day Eighteen - Snow ANYWHERE Else Okay?!??!

Look, I love snow, okay?  I really do.  When I worked retail, I LOVED if it snowed once I was already at work because that meant I would have a free and empty store to set planograms or put out stock or whatever needed done (yeah yeah yeah I was an overachiever and I learned the hard way that you never do more than everyone else around you is doing or you'll be the one doing it all, and I was).  The only time the store wasn't empty was at Claire's.  People would bring their kids in (because they didn't have school so go to the mall right?!?) and let them run the place ragged and we'd be pulling our hair out.  Those were usually the days I got a milkshake or brownie ice cream sundae at Big Boy's near closing time.  (Yeah yeah yeah I'm old.  These were the days when Big Boy still had legit homemade ice cream!)

Anyways, I got way way way off track there.  I love snow, but I am freaking SICK of snow.  We had ONE, count it, ONE snowfall in the latter half of 2022. It was in November and it was gone in two or three days.  We have had THREE major snow/ice storms in March and at least three minor ones.  This shit is crazy.

So yeah, I figured who better to commiserate about the love/hate relationship I have with snow than the one, the only, Lorelai Gilmore?

Okay, so this digi from Angie Blom isn't officially Lorelai and Rory, but it is.  KWIM?

STAMPtember - Day Twenty-Six - Can't. Stop. Coffee.

I'm all about the anniversaries lately, I swear.  Fifteen years ago today, the final season of Gilmore Girls premiered.  I remember being so apprehensive about it because Amy was gone as showrunner (it didn't fare Dawson's Creek very well!) and season six hadn't ended well, and I was concerned about where all the turmoil with the WB/UPN/CW was going to affect things.  All in all, season seven wound up being pretty good, if you think about all the obstacles.  Anyways, enough reminiscing.  Here's my card.  I loooooove Unity Stamps because they have so many images that I consider Lorelais!

31 Days of Crafting - Day Eight - My Favorite Women

Happy Friday!!!  I know everyone is all celebrating "strong women" today and superheroes and crap for International Women's Day.  That's all well and good, but as much as I like say, Catwoman, real strength doesn't come from superhero power.  The strongest bond women have is that between a mother and a daughter.  So today I'm celebrating my favorite mother/daughter duo, the Gilmore Girls. Even though Rory didn't prioritize her mother the way her mother prioritized her, they have an amazing relationship.  I'm lucky to have that kind of relationship with my mother.

It's the last day of my Growing In Unity week, I can't believe it!  I've had such a blast and thanks again to Angela and everyone at Unity Stamps for this amazing opportunity!  This is another great new stamp, Lux Girl, and she's another Lorelai Gilmore to me!  I even colored her to represent the scene where Lorelai wears an outfit like this in A Year In The Life.

Growing In Unity Day Three - Magic of Beginnings

Welcome to Day Three of my Growing In Unity week with Unity Stamps!!!  I used a new favorite of mine, Journee for this card.  My favorite thing about this stamp is that she reminds me of Lorelai Gilmore.  I loooove Gilmore Girls!

And guess what?  She's hiding a secret!

She's an easel card!!!

And if you're thinking you don't recognize that Thinking of you sentiment, it's actually on a bottle-like shape, I used a marker to color just the words :D  ETA: here's a photo of the original stamp:
