Lovely Trio - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!

Happy Tuesday!!  I've got a new Brea Reese Brand Ambassador post for you today, sharing a trio of LOVE cards!!!  As we approach Valentine's Day, I like to make love-themed cards that don't have to be romantic.  I especially like the idea of Galentine's Day, celebrating close friendships between women.  I figured these cards all worked for several occasions.  I had a blast using the Heavy Body Acrylic Paints to create my marbled backgrounds for my heart die cuts.  I did a lot of blending with a palette knife and the following colors: Silver, Gold, Titanium White, Cadmium Red, Crimson, Rose and Magenta.  If you're new to Heavy Body Acrylics, you might try the Jewels or Brights sets, they give you smaller tubes of each shade so you can jump in and see what colors are your favorites.

The close-ups of each card help you see the marbled detail.  It's so much fun to play around with the paint to see what kinds of results you get.  They'll never be the same twice.

Be sure to check out the Heavy Body Acrylic Paints and all the other Brea Reese products!!  Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  Laters!!

Floral LOVE - Momenta Brand Ambassador Post!!

Happy Tuesday!!  I've got a new Momenta Brand Ambassador post for you today, and since Valentine's Day is next week, I wanted to make a LOVE card.  I really love sending love you cards all year long, anyway.  It's something to be celebrated.

I started with the Intricate Floral Love Cutting Template.  I was playing around with cutting it out of different Momenta papers when I realized I wanted to layer a few of them to create this card.  I used both the Watercolor Metallic and the Watercolor pads for this layered shaker design.

Be sure to check out all the Floral Love die and all the other fun Momenta products!  Thanks so much for looking and happy crafting.  Laters!!

Hi everyone!!  It's the 25th and that means a new challenge at A Inky Mess!!  Our theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes!  We get to work with our own images this month, so of course I went with Unity stamps!!  I used a new paper, with speckles on it, for my pencil coloring and I'm not sure how I feel about the outcome!  And I also tried Brea Reese Modeling Paste for the first time on the background with the heart stencils.  I LOOOOOOVE that stuff!!

**ANYTHING GOES** New Challenge with Crafting With Friends!!

Happy Friday!  It's a new challenge at Crafting with Friends and as always, our theme is Anything Goes!  This challenge will be Just For Fun, no sponsor so we're just using our stashes!  This card is Twilight inspired, but instead of going for a Cullen theme, I went with a Jacob & Renesmee theme.  I thought all the brown represented the wolves, and the pink for Nessie.

**LOVE** New Challenge with Creative Moments!

Happy Hump Day!!  It's a new challenge at Creative Moments, and just in time for Valentine's Day our theme is LOVE.  We've got several lovely sponsors this challenge and they all provided us images.  Mine came from Poppyseed Graphics and is called Tribal Valentine.  I thought it would be awesome to print it in two sizes to use as a background paper and a focal image.

And I actually decorated the inside of this one, which I never do!

I wanna enter this in a few challenges:

Alternate Valentine

Happy Hump Day!!  Now that I've spent my hour with the sexiest man alive (Stephen Amell, hello!  I love Adam Levine but he's no Green Arrow....) I can get back to my crafting.  It's been bugging me that all Valentines are so girly.  Pink and red and white, they just scream feminine and I thought, well they don't have to!  They can be any color they want to me.

I decided to make a blue Valentine.  Not only is it PERFECT for a girl to give to her guy, but it's fun and unusual.  I like alternatives to the norm.  They help keep things interesting.

I just love how it came out.  The color and the accents, everything just gelled.  I love projects that turn out like that!

I just had to put glitter somewhere, so I figured the matte Distress Glitter on Cupid's wings would be perfect, 'cause it's glitzy, but still manly.  Plus, he is getting this card from a girl....

I'm entering some challenges of course:
