Spread Color - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!

Happy Tuesday!!  I've got a new Brea Reese Brand Ambassador post for you today, and today I have a colorful mixed media peacock card!  I've been in a very artsy type of mood lately, and I was going to go a completely different way with this card when a friend mentioned a "marbled acrylics" technique she'd recently started doing.  Basically you scoop up Artist Acrylic Paint with a palette knife and just start spreading the colors around on regular cardstock.  I loved it from the minute I tried it.  Every single one comes out differently, and you never know how the colors are going to blend.  I wanted some shimmer so I did drip Liquid Glitter onto my paints before picking them up with the knife.  Such a cool technique!

The border piece of cardstock, I did the marbling technique on a piece of black cardstock.  The popped up accent piece that the sentiment and peacock are on was obviously blended on white cardstock.  See how all the colors blend to make new ones?  Love it!  You'll be seeing this from me again in the future!

The peacock is colored with my favorite coloring medium, Glitter Inks.  In person she just jumps off the card at you, she's so sparkly. The sentiment tag is colored with the same colors of Glitter Ink.

So Very Blessed - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!!

Happy Tuesday!!  I've got a new Brea Reese Brand Ambassador post for you today, sharing a Thanksgiving card!!  I like sort of non-traditional sentiments and such, and this card completely fits that bill.  I apologize that it's hard to see the Glitter Inks that I used on the leaves.  It's soooo hard to photograph shimmery things!!!  The background is mildly shimmery as well, I created it with a blend of the Watercolor Inks and Gold Liquid Metal. I cannot stress enough how amazing the Liquid Metals are, you need these in your studio!!

Trick or Treat - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!

Happy Tuesday!!  It's time for my latest Brea Reese Brand Ambassador post, and even though it doesn't feel like fall (hello 80 degree weather!!), I'm READY for fall, so I made a Halloween card!  I used the amazing Watercolor Inks to make this card.  They blend so beautifully and allow you to make the colors bold or subtle without a ton of hassle or mixing.  I literally drop the inks on my palette and then just pick them up with my waterbrush and let the colors do all the work.

Blessed - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!

Happy Tuesday!!  It's time for my latest Brea Reese brand ambassador post, and now that it's "officially" fall (even though it's HUMID outside!) I'm all about pumpkins, gourds and warm colors.  My background was made with a combination of my go-to Brea Reese Glitter Inks for the background, dropping in Gold Liquid Metals here and there, then I added water to blend the colors.  I LOVE how you never know what you'll get when you do this!  The label sentiment was colored the same way with Orange and Yellow colors.  The stamped images were colored not only with the Glitter Inks but with Watercolor Inks and Fineliner Pens as well.

Free Floating - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post

Happy Tuesday!!  It's time for my latest Brea Reese brand ambassador post, and yes, it's another mermaid project!!!  I'm so into them this year!!!  The idea for this card actually began from a piece of scrap paper I'd been watercoloring on top of.  The colors had seeped out in a sort of messy striping and I just loved how it looked!!  I used my artsy best friend, Brea Reese Glitter Inks for the background, and colored the card with the Glitter Inks, Watercolor Inks, Fineliner Pens and Glitter Water Brushes!

I didn't want really defined stripes, so I painted all the Lake Blue stripes first.  Then I filled in the spaces with Ultramarine Blue and semi-blended them together with Liquid Glitter.  That stuff is incredible!  The Sea Creatures die cuts were colored with Glitter Inks as well.

Tag Trio - Brea Reese Brand Ambassador Post!!

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for my latest Brea Reese brand ambassador post, and today is all about Watercolors!!  If you haven't tried Brea Reese Watercolor Inks, you have to!!  They're so fluid and the colors are just gorgeous!  They blend together like butter and the colors are so vibrant while still maintaining transparency.  I've been really into tags lately so I made three when I was playing with these gorgeous inks.

I used different color combinations for each one and I love how they came out.

I used Gold, Neutral Grey and Violet for this one!  It looks like I used greens, so this is why I'm so impressed with the blending of these inks!  They just sort of melt into each other and create new colors.  And they're never the same twice!

Pink, Crimson, Violet and Medium Magenta made this awesome tag.  I see this color combination being used over and over again in the future!

This one is Violet, Lake Blue, Gold and Neutral Grey.  I looooove the way the Blue and Grey created a sort of teal color!
