Wilson Designs Stamps June Release Day 3!

Day three!  Woohoo!  Are you loving this release? Yesterday my project was all about babies...today, how about some elegance?  I paired this gorgeous cameo with a background I built by stamping with a single image from Kim's new set.

The floral and heart motif is one of my favorite pieces from the June release.  So versatile and pretty!

Stay tuned in this week for inspiration every day from the DT Dolls and WD Stamps!
and don't forget me ;)

I hope you plan on hopping along and leaving comments for all of the designers each day to up your chances of winning this cute set that releases on friday. Good luck and thanks for coming by!

Buttons Galore Teams Up with Sharpie for Weddings!

Hello all!  Buttons Galore and More has teamed up with Sharpie to bring you a ton of ideas for WEDDINGS!  *sigh*

Supplies:
Craft supply polished river rocks

My project would make a sweet table centerpiece.  A simple white tray holds buttons in the wedding color (in the case, pink) and nestled among the buttons are river rocks with words written on them to spell out lyrics to familiar love songs.  Simple, easy and oh so sweet!

You could also challenge your guests to sorting and building the lyrics themselves while they wait for newlyweds to finish taking photos, etc.  A centerpiece with rocks and buttons is so satisfyingly tactile and fun for all ages.  You could even ask your guests to write a one word wish for the newlyweds for them to take home as a keepsake.  The possibilities are endless.
Great for a garden-themed wedding too!

Oil-based paint markers are perfect for writing on slick surfaces and durable too!  I hope you have enjoyed this project.  For more great wedding ideas with buttons and Sharpies, please visit the Buttons Galore and More blog for links to all of the designers participating.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wilson Designs April Release Day 2!

Today I am highlighting the large heart shaped diamond in Kim's new set.  Isn't this a fabulous image?!  And what with the re-release of the movie Titanic, I can't help but to be humming along to the theme song right now as this stamp reminds me of the necklace in the movie.

I used varying shades of blue to stamp the image three times and then detail cut them and pop them up on foam tape.  Bling from Want2Scrap adorns the centers in coordinating colors and also as a backdrop to these pretty hearts.  I'm thinking wedding card on this one.

Ready for more inspo from the girls? Stay tuned in this week for inspiration every day from the DT Dolls and WD Stamps!
and don't forget me ;)

Hey blog friends!  Want2Scrap has teamed up with the CPS sketch darlings this week!  Be sure and join in on THIS sketch challenge to have a chance at an amazing Want2Scrap prize!

I made my card for my one and only.  Such good fortune that the Crate Paper card, for some reason, had the letter "G" and the number "2" on it!  Perfect for two Gustafsons celebrating their 13th anniversary this week!

I paired up the sketch and fun papers with Ribbon Slides - Set of 3 - Beautiful Rhinestones and Nestabling Petite Scalloped Circle Sm Silver Rhinestones from Want2Scrap.  Isn't that rhinestone heart slide just de-lish!?

Have fun with this great sketch from CPS and good luck winning the Want2Scrap prize!

Just Us Girls 88 Woodgrain Technique ...Congratulations to the bride to be

Hey all!  Time for a technique challenge with Just Us Girls!  This week it's based on a woodgrain technique shared by the fab Gina K over at Stamp TV.

I went for a soft shabby wood shutters look and took my woodgrain to the pink side...

Try as I may, my camera didn't pick up as much subtle shabby pink woodgrain as I would like to share with you but oh!  It is like spun cotton candy I tell you.  This card is a little something for the bride to be (love that silhouette image from Jenni Bowlin) and, I will admit, a hopeful entry into Papercrafts Gallery Idol!  Eeek!  Are you entering this year?  I know the competition will be stiff but I thought I'd give it a go.  I hope to see all  my talented papercrafting friends there!

OK back to woodgrain...can you see it a little here?
*sigh* such a pretty group of items...glittery frame, crinkly seam binding, floral papers and PINK woodgrain!  I hope you'll join us and try this fun technique this week.
and guest designer, Rosemary!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

EBTKS #21, PDCC #43 and STR #24...{congratulations}

Hello!  A quick post to bring you a card for three challenges today.  I generally don't try to combine challenges but these all presented themselves to me today when I was making a card I needed for an upcoming wedding.  The perfect storm if you will..
The play date cafe has some positively breezy colors this week and with the 100 plus weather today, I'll take breezy!
The ladies over at Everything but the Kitchen Sink called up some sketch creativity based on a front loading clothes washer!  a little something I know alot about as laundry never seems to stop its endless march.  LOL!
And the lovely Shabby Tea Room gals have challenged us to use metal this week.

Ahhhhhh!  Breezy!  See what I mean?  Also, these colors were perfect for the "something blue"  I like to include on wedding cards.  I do love a good tradition!  :)  The sketch allowed me to use my FAVORITE thing right now...a paper doily!  What is it about these things?  I just adore them!
The up close and personal shows off the hand made flower using a cut file by Kelleigh Ratzlaff for the large focal point flower.  I used white cardstock spritzed with seafoam shimmerz.  I dressed up the center of this flower and two other Prima flowers with a regular office supply brass brad (my metal for the Tea Room girls) topped with a pearl bling from Want 2 Scrap.  From drab to FAB!  I now LOVE my brass brads for flower centers!  Thanks to adhesive pearls!  The pearl swirl is also Want 2 Scrap.  The flower grouping is finished with two pearl topped corsage pins...come to think of it, this ribbon, flower, pin combo reminds me of a pin-on corsage!   I knew those floral design classes would come in handy one day (hi mom!).

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope your day is cool and calm!  OH!  And don't forget to comment on this post if you'd like a chance to win some BLOOMERS!
