Just Us Girls #100 plus Blog Candy! ...Ciao!

Ciao bellas!  I'm so tickled your here!  This week the Just Us Girls crew celebrates the 100th challenge!  Yipes!  How fantistico!  To honor the distance we've come, we are taking it back old skool...to the very first sketch!  Snap in for a wonderful ride on the Just Us Girls REmix!  Remember this gem of a sketch????

Yep, she's back and ready for more action!  I recently received some stamps from darling Kim of Wilson Designs.  Among the stack was this so FUN set called Scoot Away with Me.  From the day Kim released this set, I have been jones-ing to recreate this real life scoot-scoot I saw in Como, Italy last year...

Can't you just picture me scooting around on this aqua baby in my designer stilettos???  OK maybe not but I do adore a cool Vespa...especially in Italy!  I guess, for now, I'll have to stick to stamps!

Mee-owww!  Isn't she the cutest little scooter rider??!  DAH-LING really! How do you keep your hair "helmet-head" free?!  Kim hit this right on the money...there are absolutely ladies dressed to the nines riding their scooters in Italy.  *love*

The sentiments font in the set is super cute too!  I love the retro feel the script has plus there is a houndstooth pattern stamp too.

The JUGs girl have put together some custom blog candy packages for the 100th sketch week!  Be sure and hop to each blog and comment for your chance to win.  For my candy package, I've put together some vintage faves....bookprint, music sheets, old ledger paper, monopoly money, pearl trim and some hand selected mother of pearl buttons!  I've also included 4+ yards of twine from the Twinery in fall colors and 4 wood mount stamps from American Crafts!  If you like the sound of that, please leave a comment that says "I want it!" (or any other form of "gimme" that suits you) and you are entered to win.  If you are a follower here at Paper Daydream, give yourself another chance with a second comment.

Just had to share a closeup of those buttons.  YUM-o!

Check out the girls.....

PLUS the fabulous and wonderful Monique Hansen joins us this month as our guest designer!  Yay!

OK crafters, let's work this sketch OUT!  Can't wait!

Can you guess what color my next stamped scooter will be?????

Just Us Girls #97 Altered Notebook challenge

Hey Just Us Girls Fans!  Fabulous Maria has challenged us to alter a notebook.  I snatched up a small size at my local Walgreens for 20 cents and set about making it my own!

I used a few of my favorite  Elements from the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday line...I went for elements that said "get 'er done and still have fun".  I think it's a good idea to keep that ever growing to-do list in perspective so I inked up a Leavenworth Jackson stamp reminding me that if it doesn't have "meaning" I need to re-evaluate whether or not it belongs on my list! ;)

Button and baker's twine closure are a good way to keep this little book closed up while it tumbles around in my purse!

The back cover is for those times when my hair seems to be standing on end and my TWO children seem more like 20 children...."work with me people"!!!!  Just keeping it light and real....

Check out the artistic stylings of my fellow JUG-sters and then join us!

Elise Durenberger

And did you know our very own Pammycakes is celebrating her birthday??  Yep it's true!  Be sure and leave Pam a little birthday love when you visit her this week ok?

Alright bloggies, catch you on the flip side!  Have a great one!Photobucket

Just Us Girls #91 sketch....You're a lifesaver

Hey Just Us Girls fans.  Time for our first challenge in July...can you believe July has already begun?  This week is a sketch from Kathryn.  You are gonna love this one...

I tapped my stash of Cosmo Cricket  Elements from the Snorkel collection.  So many cute images in this set.  I decided the "lifesaver" element  would be a fun way to say thanks to someone and also, that I could replicate the simple design of the life ring onto my card to represent the circle in our sketch.

I had fun trimming myself an ocean wave strip and stringing my thanks mini tag like a tow line from the ring.  Couldn't resist adding some turquoise bling from Want2Scrap for a little shimmer on the ocean waves.

The water was sparkling as blue as the bling for real today as the girls and I hit the beach for some fun with friends ....  I love summer!

For more bright and shining inspiration, check out the Just Us Girls DT

And be sure to check out our July Featured Designer the talented Christina MacLaren!  Welcome Christina!  It's so nice to have you!

Pinch Me Please Peony...tutorial!

Hi friends!  Just dropping in to say hi and "pinch me, please"!  I am over the top excited about a phone call I just received from Michele of Want2Scrap from the floor of CHA.  While I can't tell you everything we talked about just yet, I can share the Peony tutorial I promised last week with you.  Hop on over to the Want2Scrap blog to see just how to make a gorgeous and very 3 dimensional peony like the one I made below.

Isn't that black Nestabling gorgeous against the hot pink paper!?  I love this sassy flower paired up with Cosmo Cricket's Delovely line.  Don't forget there is still time to enter for a chance to win the FULL release of Nestabling over at the Want2Scrap blog.  It's hot, you won't want to miss this chance!
