The 12 Kits of Occasions ~ July Kit!

Hello lovelies! Summer seems to be flying by at lightening speed. Can you believe it's the last day of July? The only good thing about that is we have our The 12 Kits of Occasions post today. The delightful Marybeth Lopez is our hostess this month. She has given us a {Christmas in July} kit!!

I used my fave Mama Elephant dies to cut the panels on this one. I think this shows up every month on one of my kit cards! Isn't this snowman fun!! He's standing on a checkered snow mound die cut with a PPP Stitched Borders 1 die.

I finally picked up this PTI tag sale die and I love it so much! The gold stripe paper is actually a bag from the kit. I used MFT circle dies for my focal and a PPP bow to top them off. I added the tiny word joy (Morning Star Stamps) to the Christmas sentiment.

This card is my favorite!! I love the pretty paper and die cut florals paired up with this frame. I used a Reverse Confetti sentiment. This card would work for Christmas or any other occasion. Can you see all of the sparkle on the little bird? I layered on several coats of Wink of Stella!

An inlaid circle die cut and some PPP border dies (Stitched Borders 2 & 4) brought this one together quickly!

I embossed some snowflakes onto vellum here. Isn't this minty green gold polka dot paper PRETTY!! I used a PPP Stitched Borders 2 die on it and the floral paper for added interest. A sprinkling of PPP Marshmallow sequins (4mm & 6mm) tie the vellum into the design.

And last but not least, I layered up some snowflakes from the kit along with this beautiful sentiment then added some Champagne rhinestones.

I had so much fun playing with this pretty assortment of paper and images. Thanks Marybeth!! Hop on over to the 12 Kits blog to see what the team has posted there. You'll want to pay each one of them a visit too, they are crazy talented ladies!! Thanks so much for stopping by today ~Lisa

The 12 Kits of Occasions ~ Spring Fling!

Hey there! It's the end of the month and that means it's time for another round of cards from The 12 Kits of Occasions! The fabulous Michelle Leone is our hostess this month. She provided us with a kit hopping with Easter/Spring cuteness! All information on the products from the kit can be found on the 12 Kits blog.

First up, a pair of sweet bunnies (Frantic Stamper) sniffing out some carrots! Love this tall thin blades of grass die cut! Isn't this basket weave cover plate (Frantic Stamper) fun, so many possibilities.

This darling bunny stole my heart! Love her carrot print dress and ballerina slippers! I popped her up with foam tape and curved her dress outward for some added fun! The bottom of the floral paper was die cut with my Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 2 die.

I love everything about the next card. This PTI tag has had my eye for quite some time and the gingham bow die cut Michelle provided is fab..u..lous!

Isn't this Easter egg paper cute! Here's another of those darling bows,  polka dot ~ swoon!!

I nested this sweet pair of bunnies (Frantic Stamper) among some pretty little cupped sequin flowers. The entire card front is popped up with fun foam.

And finally, a pillow box. I used my PTI die to cut the box from a speckled white cardstock I had on hand. Then I added the DPs, die cuts, metal rimmed tag and lush green ribbon from the kit. I popped on the cupped flower sequins and a chunky button for pizazz!

That's it from me today. Now hop on over to the blog to see what my teamies have put together. They always inspire me and I know they will you too!! ~Lisa

Guesting at 12 Kits of Occasions!!

Hey there! I received one of those fun emails a few weeks back from Cathy Weber! She asked if I would like to join the girls of the 12 Kits of Occasions for their July post. Heck yeah!!

Cathy sent out a Christmas kit this month. It contained an amazing mix of designer papers, stamped images and sentiments along with die cuts and so many extra goodies. It was happy mail indeed!

First up is the elegant tree Cathy stamped. It was whispering in my ear "Glitter me, glitter me"!! I added it to a card base covered in this beautiful Christmas plaid. A small snippet of ribbon and a few gems on the sentiment banner were all this needed.

Wouldn't that sparkly tree look fabulous with these ornaments adorning it's branches!! I wanted to let as much of this DP show as possible. I cut the back mat and DP with my fave ME frames. I simply added the premade sentiment/ornament Cathy sent. I sanded the edges to let more white show so it would pop off of the DP.

Cathy die cut this deer from the plaid paper. I posed him on the sentiment she sent then added a few Pretty Pink Posh snowflakes and sequins. I love the litte edge of snowflake paper peeking out!

Isn't this leaping deer pretty! He's gracefully leaping through a wooden sentiment frame backed with more DP. I added this to a PTI tag I had in my stash. It was already embossed with the stars so I added a couple of more wooden stars (also from my stash) to unify the design.

Finally, I have a cozy card! The polka dot paper was die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3 Die. I added it to the card base covered in paper that reminded me of a warm cozy sweater! Cathy sent a kraft panel that she embossed. I cut just one strip from it for this card. Next, I die cut one of her sentiments with a PPP Stitched Tag. A little rustic twine added to the wooden holly she included finish off this one.

I had a grand time working with this month's kit. Thank you so much Cathy and the ladies of the 12 Kits for having me!! I always enjoy seeing what you all design from the same products. No two alike and all simply fabulous!!

I'll be back tomorrow with a special birthday hop post for Paper Sweeties!! I hope you'll join me ~Lisa
