Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!

Hello! I have something so very very special that I would like to share with all of you. Ready? I have had my first publication!!! Yep, I took the plunge and submitted a few cards a few months ago. First time ever ~ fingers crossed, but wasn't holding my breath! The day has finally come and the August issue is out. But wait, it gets better. I have two cards in the August issue of Create: Stamping!!! Hold on, hold on...it gets even better.

I have to say I have been floating on air for quite awhile now. I told my husband, son and daughter-in-law, but swore them to secrecy so that I could surprise my parents when the publication came out. Well that's not going to happen exactly the way I would have liked. They are no longer publishing the book in paper form. BOO, they have gone digital. Shucks, I sure wanted to give my parents a surprise copy with a big lush bow wrapped around it. I don't know about you, but I would much rather look at a book or magazine flipping through the pages in real life instead of on the computer screen. I like the look, feel and even smell of something in print. So I do have a wee sinking feeling in my stomach, but that's the way it goes. Anyway...I'm over the moon with joy and happiness. 

You want to know what else makes this the most special. My son. When I told him he gave me the biggest longest hug and told me how proud he was of me. Oh good grief I love just him so much!!! Now when I look at the sentiment on the front of this card I think of my Joey.
