A Valentine for Sweet P

When I saw the quilt challenge over at Inkspirational, an idea popped into my head. I turned that idea into a Valentine for our Sweet P. Take a look...

I had a few bits and pieces from one of my all time favorite MME 6x6 paper pads left. After trimming to size, I pieced them together to form my quilt. Next, I used the largest of my Poppystamps Scallop Pinpoint Heart dies to cut it out. This went onto a card base embossed with polka dots. A couple of sweet MFT Rolled Roses and Altenew leaves, all cut from felt, along with a trio of buttons adorn the heart. Last, but not least, the Sweet P sentiment (from my Sweet Pea stamp set) went onto a PPP label die cut. I haven't used felt or those rolled roses in ages. Buttons too, for that matter. Sigh... they just never get old!

Wishing you a blessed weekend!

Birthday Wishes!

Have you seen the lovely mood board over at Inkspirational? I knew I had to find time to play along. This birthday card is the result and is headed over to their gallery!

Everything used on this card, with the exception of the cardstocks comes from Poppystamps. The Penelope pinpoint frame, a favorite of mine, (hmmm... I wonder why?!!) was cut from white cardstock then layered over cream cardstock. I think the two look wonderful together! I carried the cream to the cake, then decorated it with the light pink and pistachio colors. I pulled the golden yellow from the flames into the piping and fancied everything up with shimmery and sparkly golds.

I think I'll set this one aside for my mom's birthday in June.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by. I appreciate it!

Oh Holy Night

Hello lovelies! I'm popping in for a quick minute with a card for the Inkspirational challenge. Their word prompt is CELEBRATE. I'm celebrating the birth of Christ!

I don't know what it is about this sweet little manger stamp and PTI's little Holly Jolly dies, but I always pair them together! This EF that I picked up from Simply Graphic a couple of years ago had the perfect stars for my background. The sentiment was a long ago leftover from The 12 Kits of Occasions, so I'm not sure who's it is. I cut it with a PPP tag die.

Off to the gallery this goes and then we're off to Mass in a couple of hours to celebrate Jesus! Enjoy your weekend and thanks so very much for visiting!

Warmest Wishes!

I hope those of you who celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday had a blessed and happy day! I made dinner for the two of us and my parents. I must say, it was pretty yummy!  The down side of the holiday is that our little Sweet P came down with a bug. Fever, cough, ear infection... feeling pretty rough. Thankfully not Covid. We did get to FaceTime with her and I'm thankful for that

I have a couple of warm and cozy cards for you today. They both have a Piped Icing Star from Birch Press Design as their focal point. I'll be sending one over to the Inkspirational gallery for their Seasonal challenge.

I turned the stars into gingerbread cookies! More Christmas papers from my stash went onto the background for this one along with a few SG pine sprigs. A simple little Poppystmaps sentiment was all it needed.

I thought the sweet gingham paper was a good pairing for the PTI sentiment. I layered everything together with the PTI Mix & Mat Snowflake die cut.

Those cookies are making me hungry!

Hmmm, maybe a slice of pumpkin pie will fix that!

You are Amazing

Inkspirational is having a stencil challenge. Layered stencils can be used too and that's just what I've done on my entry! The beautiful Gracious Floral set by Memory Box was my go to for this one.

This set also has embossing folder and dies available. I used both of them, then stenciled on some pretty summer colors. I stamped my sentiment in the same kraft ink I used on the flower stems. A good sprinkling of Fairy Jewels from Poppystamps added a nice pop!

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Celebrate!

Hey there! I'm popping in tonight with a cute little card I made for the Inkspirational challenge. They're looking for mini things. Check this out!

I've had this mini cupcake from Stamps By Judith for years. I love giving it sparkly frosting! After stamping, I die cut it with a PPP mini tag then topped it with a mini bow (ME). I layered this onto an older PTI doily. A cute little sentiment and a few stripes finished things off. Sometimes those mini elements can pack a punch, I love this!

Thanks for stopping by!

Deck the Halls!

Brrrr is it cold in your neck of the woods? Sure is here and we had a dusting of snow. I know a certain little pup who would have been a happy happy boy, gosh how he loved the snow.

I'm sharing a sparkly twinkly kind of card today that I actually made ahead for the last Papertrey Ink blog hop but never got posted. It was the weekend our sweet little Max was so sick and we had to say goodbye. I looked around for a challenge it might be suited for today and found that Inkspirational's prompt word this go around is shine. I think all of the rhinestones I added to this little baby fit that category!

This unique color combo came from one of the graphics PTI had available for their hop (I added it below). I've used their Bells and Boughs set along with the tiny pine sprigs from Love Lives Here: Holiday.  The soft stone and white cardstocks along with the smokey shadow, blueberry sky and soft stone inks are also PTI,  the green cardstock and rhinestones are DeNami Design. It's a bit different for me, but I kind of like it!

Have a wonderful day friends and enjoy your weekend ~Lisa

CQC #200 & Ink. #5 ~ You're Such a Blessing!

Excuse me...is it REALLY August already? Where did July get to and for that matter where did June go!!??!! Before we know it the leaves are going to change colors. Time flies huh. So did this day. I can't believe I'm posting my card so late. We had a little adventure today. We took a river trip! Our son & daughter-in-law were in kayaks and the hubs and I were in a canoe. What a fun day! We saw turtles , blue heron, hawks and THE sweetest little fawn. Sweet thing still had it's pretty little spots!!  And our morning started off with a TV repair. Thank heavens my hubby can fix so many things. He spent $24 on parts to repair our TV that had no picture. Truth be told I think he was hoping it wouldn't work so he could get a bigger TV. Men sheesh...I think a 42" TV is big enough. Anything bigger and we would have to sit in another room to watch it!

I have a sweet summery card that I'm entering over at the ColourQ.
This is their 200th challenge! WooHoo way to go ladies!!
I'm also linking this up at my sweet blog friend Mynnette's Inkspirational.
They have an anything goes challenge this week!

I used an assortment of PTI flowers and leaves along with this sentiment by Stampendous. A few fluttery butterflies courtesy of my MS punch and a sprinkling of rhinestones. That does it for me tonight friends. Off to take my sweet boy Max for a walk. Thanks for popping in ~Lisa

Inkspirational #11 ~ Happy Easter!

Happy Friday! This week at Inkspirational they have the sweetest little bunny inspiration photo. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to ink up my new Papertrey Ink bunny stamp.

Now I ask you what could be cuter than a polka dot bunny! I am in love with this little fella. Add that to some October Afternoon Cakewalk paper and you end up with a sweet little Easter card. I added my bunny to a MFT die cut label and gave him a felt tail. This card went together very quickly and it just makes me smile!
I hope you have a splendid day ~Lisa

Inkspirational #7 ~ So Proud of You!

Happy Saturday! I had the urge to make a card last night (but had to wait to finish it today) and remembered the pretty photo for this weeks Inkspirational challenge. Nothing lifts the winter blahs like a bouquet of bright pretty fresh flowers!

Edit: This card was chosen for publication in the August 2013 edition of Create:Stamping!
It was also selected for the cover!!

I die cut and stamped three PTI Pretty Peonies along with three MFT Royal Roses using PTI Autumn Rose felt. My card base is a pretty shade of pink called romance. I topped this with a MME panel and a PTI scallop border die of more MME paper. Love those sweet polka dots! The sentiment is from the PTI Script Sentiments set. Lots of pretty button accents and I think it's good to go!

I hope you have a pleasant weekend. I'll be back on Monday with a new Button Boutique project for DeNami Design ~ I hope you'll stop by! Blessings friends ~Lisa
