Just Us Girls # 729 ~ Thanks

Hello! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. This is CASE a member of the Design Team week. Pop over to the blog to check at out what the team has to share. I did a little upcycling for my card!

I made this tag a few years ago and never used it. It seemed like the perfect time to pop it onto a card.  Before doing that, I stamped the same rings and splatters (both from PRS sets) onto the card base.

Super quick and simple! That's just what I needed since we've been busy with Sweet P's softball games. Here's a look at our girl bringin' the heat!! GO WOLF PACK!!

Have a blessed day!

Just Us Girls #727 ~ Enjoy the Journey

Hello and welcome! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Carol Mc has a pretty Mood Board for us this week. I think you'll be able to pick out what inspired me pretty quickly!

I inked up this cutie little camera image by Simply Graphic, fussy cut it, then adhered it to the layered tag (PTI). A simple PRS sentiment topped it off. It's clean, layered and was easy peasy!

We can't wait to see how you're inspired by Carol's Mood Board. So many options!

Cherish Every Moment

Brrrrr..... nothing to do today but stay in where it's warm and get crafty! I'm sending this card over to the girls at Freshly Made Sketches.

I had something completely different in mind for this card using a feather element from the PRS DIY set. But while reaching for it, I saw the arrows and, bingo an idea was born! I thought they were a great choice for those vertical skinny rectangles in Cécile's sketch. They're all stamped in the same gray ink. I just stamped multiple times in my Misty to get three different shades. Also from PRS, is the Positive Thoughts set that completed my design. Something different, something fun!

I hope you're enjoying your Sunday and staying warm!

Just Us Girls #702 ~ Happy Thanksgiving

Hello and welcome! Here we are at another Saturday and that means a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Ina has chosen a lovely autumn photo/mood board for your inspiration this week.

As you can see, I was inspired by the leaves and the colors! I stamped layers of leaves (PRS) on a white panel then die cut it with a Spellbinders Hemstitch die. Yes, I finally got my hands on this die set! I found the perfect butterscotchy plaid paper in my stash to add another layer of prettiness. My sentiment is by SSS. I like the way this one turned out!

I hope I've inspired you to join us this week.

Leaves, colors or both... it's up to you!

FMS #600 ~ Enjoy!

Good morning! I'm squeaking in my entry for the Freshly Made Sketches 600th challenge! Congratulations to the team (past and present!) on this wonderful milestone! Life gets busy, but I couldn't let this one go by without playing along. Lets get to it!

I chose an older PTI doily for the circle image then added a little tag stamped with images from PRS. The leaves I tucked in (PRS) were fussy cut. A little sentiment and it was good to go!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Just a Note

Hello lovelies! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Ina is hosting color week for us. She's looking for cards using turquoise, mustard and black.

A new month brings a new guest designer. I'm happy to say that my sweet friend Michele Ferguson of I Card Everyone will be joining us for the month of March! You'll want to pop by the Just Us Girls blog to see what she and the team have to share.

Here's what I've done with Ina's colors!

I finally inked up my Altenew's Weekend Doodles then colored them with Copics. They looked a little lonely, so I added some speckles (PRS) here and there. Then I sprinkled on a few rhinestones for good measure!

I do hope I've inspired you to join us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Give Thanks

Hey there! The days just seem to be whizzing by lately. I've been working on Christmas cards, trying to get caught up ~ OY! But I did finally manage to get a card made for a challenge or two. This one is for Color Hues and Sunday Stamps.

Using Carved Pumpkin and Peeled Paint inks, I randomly stamped a panel using PRS leaves, grid and dots. After die cutting it with a PPP banner I added it to a panel cut with an Altenew cover plate. I opted for ribbon as the top portion of the Sunday Stamps sketch then popped on a DeNami circular sentiment. I'll hand deliver this one to my mom and dad so a button seemed like a good finishing touch. I haven't used one of those in a while!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Live Your Dream

It's officially summer and Vicki has the perfect inspiration photo for this week's Just Us Girls to celebrate it! I zoomed in on the hibiscus blooms and the shades! Take a look...

These die cut tropical leaves were in my 12 Kits leftovers. I layered them up with some DeNami hibiscus blooms that I stamped and fussy cut. I popped them onto my card that was stamped with my PRS glasses and sentiment. See that bright sunshine? All those sparkling clear sequins are my nod to it!

There are so many directions you can go with this photo. What ever direction you take, I hope it leads you to our gallery!

Hello

It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls and Bobby is hosting!

My first thought for Bobby's colors was to go in a beachy direction.
As you can see, that didn't happen!

After die cutting and coloring my flowers (WPlus9), I layered them onto an embossed banner with the sentiment, then onto the card base stamped with some PRS circles. A sprinkling of a few PPP Marshmallow sequins for a touch of pizazz finished things off.

I look forward to seeing in what direction the colors take you!
You ARE playing along, right?

I thank my lucky stars

Lucky me to have you stopping by for a visit!

Just in time too, we have a new challenge up at Just Us Girls!

I've combined a few "lucky" items on my card for you today. I began with the PPP sentiment and built the rest from there. I stamped and heat embossed some PRS star splatters then added the sentiment tag (PPP) with foam tape. I'm thinking the bow might be a little big, but it's cute so I'm sticking with it!

I've had those glossy chipboard buttons for years and years. They came from Archivers. Can you imagine the joy of stepping into an Archivers store today with all of the fabulous new things in paper crafting! Oh my... a girl can dream, right?

* We have a special guest designer joining the Just Us Girls design team for the month of March. Please stop by and give a warm welcome to JoAnn Burnham! *

Okey dokey, now it's your turn.

How will you put the word lucky to use on your card?

Warm Wishes

What's a girl to do with way too much snow piled up and frosty cold temps? Snuggle in and make a warm and cozy card, of course! How about one for The Card Concept, I haven't played along there in far too long.

I mentioned before that I had been doing some crafty cleanup and reorganization. I found a Pointed Pine Needle Frame (MB) already cut and just begging to be used. This cute set of mugs by (IO) fit perfectly inside it. I did a bit of masking to add a shiplap (TE) table and then some pine garland. A little coloring on the mugs and teeny punched flower centers came next. I went with a simple sentiment (PRS) and found the perfect scrap of colorful snowflake paper. My browns are a lighter shade, more like the cinnamon sticks.

I'm calling this one clean and layered. Hope you like it!

Inspired By #190 ~ Pumpkins Rock

Pumpkins do rock! They come not only in all shapes and sizes now a days, they come in oodles of colors! Put your pumpkin thinking caps on and play along with us at Inspired By. If pumpkins don't float your boat, that's okay, you can choose from our Christmas or sketch options.

I was inspired by the pretty painted pumpkins this week. I die cut a PPP pumpkin and frame. I stuck with the light grays, creamy whites and that little hint of blue from one of those pumpkins. Did you see that? The pumpkin looked a little lonely, so I added a couple of PPP stitched leaves.

I couldn't let those die cut extras go to waste, so I made another card! This pumpkin didn't look as lonely on the printed paper, so I added just a couple of tiny leaves.

I hope I've inspired you to play along. Still thinking about it? Let's go see what the team has for us, that will convince you for sure!

Love!

I'm sending lots of love and appreciation today to the team (past and present) at Freshly Made Sketches. They're celebrating the incredible milestone of 500 sketches and one decade of challenges ~ WOW!

I've put together some clean layers on a sweet shaker card to join in their festivities! Patterned papers from my stash make up the shaker portion of this card. I just love those polka dots and pretty little roses! The felt roses are MFT and the shaker fillers by PPP. I heat embossed a PRS sentiment in gold to bring forth some of those gold shaker bits.

Congratulations on 500, FMS! Here's to many more!

Peace on Earth

Hey there! I guess it's been awhile, sorry for the absence here. Just going about the business of life and summer with a little lack of mojo thrown in! I'm jumping back in head first with a Christmas in July card to add to my sorry little stash. This is for the CAS Christmas Card Challenge

I pulled out an older Altenew set along with a couple of their inks. After stamping the poinsettias and their leaves, I used the same inks and my waterbrush to wash on some color. Next came some PRS splatters and finally a Rubber Cottage sentiment.

Hope you're all doing well and enjoying your summer. We finally have a break from the extreme heat and I'm down with that! Thanks for stopping by!

Special delivery

Hello lovelies! Popping in real quick tonight with a card for Freshly Made Sketches. A sweet little square number that went together quickly.

I went literal with this one right down to the placement of my flower! The SSS flower die is layered four times. The fourth layer is just the top portion cut from white with the petals left in. I flooded them with a glue pen then sprinkled in some glitter.

Sweet, summery and simple. Hope you like it!
Anyone tried my new email subscription button?
I would love to know if it's working!

Inspired By #178 ~ Dad's Meal

Hey there! We have a new challenge for you today at Inspired By

I was inspired by all of the colors in our photo. As luck would have it, I had the perfect paper to use! Isn't it cute? The circle with the green squiggly lines reminds me of the lettuce on the burger! That 6x6 paper was adhered to some sturdy white cardstock so I could die cut a pillow box (PTI). The sentiments and polka dots are all from a retired PRS set called Mom & Dad.

I picked up a couple of McDonald's gift cards for my dad. He and my mom enjoy lunch there quite often. During the Covid lock down, to keep from going bonkers, they would go through the McDonald's drive thru and then have their lunch in the car just to get out of the house. So sweet!

Shall we go see what the team has for us?
I'll wait if you want to run to Mickey D's first!

IB #160 ~ Krafty Love

Oh my, aren't the hearts in our Inspired By photo darling?

They sure inspired me this week, hope they do you too.

 Kraft, white and pink... you can't beat that!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My goal was to recreate one of those hearts. How did I do? I've framed it in a PPP die cut then added one of the sentiments and a flourish from my Sweet Pea stamp set (PRS).
I'll be tucking this into one of my mom and dad's grocery bags before I deliver them. It will be a sweet Valentine's Day surprise for them.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!
You've Got Mail
Hi there! Popping in for a quick minute with a card for this week's Just Us Girls challenge. They're looking for card with masking so I put this little number together!
All of my stamped images are from the PRS Happy Mail set. I trimmed the panel down so I had room for some sweet polka dot Spellbinders postage die cuts. Everything went onto an embossed polka dot panel, then a white card base.
I'll be back tomorrow with a new Inspired By post. Hope to see you then!
Inspired by ~ Goodbye 2020!
Hi friends! I'm here today sharing our final Inpsired By post of 2020. We're giving you two weeks to play along. There are also prizes for two winners! You can find all of the details on the IB blog.
I am more than happy to help 2020 pack it's bags.
Heck, I'll even carry them to the car! Oh happy day!
I went with a sweet and simple card this week. I focused on the balloons and the colors. I framed my balloons in one of my new Pink and Main Cloudy Frames dies. I like the whimsical edge with my little balloons!
 Remember those prizes I mentioned?
We hope to see your card in our gallery!
Inspired By #147 ~ fall is sweet
We're celebrating the sweetness of fall at Inspired By this week!
I was inspired by the cups, polka dots, pumpkins and all those sprinkly bit of this and that! My cup is PRS. I've embossed it (Echo Park) then paper pieced the lid and band. As my sentiment says... my favorite color is October. Oh my, the trees are incredible right now!
Okay my sweet peeps, let's see how this week's challenge inspires you!
