Sweet Pea Mix Give-a-Way!

Hello! I'm back today with more new goodies from Pretty Pink Posh. This card features the new Scallop Square Dies along with more of my Sweet Pea Mix sequins!

I put together a cute scene inside the large Scallop Square. Stitched Border 1 die cuts created my rolling hills. I tucked in a small Picket Fence too. The trees, bunny, snowflakes and sentiment are all from the Holiday Pals stamp set. And of course I sprinkled on a few of the Sweet Pea Mix sequins!

As I mentioned yesterday, I have one small bundle of Pretty Pink Posh goodies up for grabs! It includes the Sweet Pea Mix sequins & Decorative Tag 1 die. I am over the moon excited to announce that I have an very special Limited Edition Sequin Mix now available! This one is dedicated to my granddaughter who I have nicknamed Sweet P, the P being for Penelope!! Her mix, called Sweet Pea, is a delicate combination of both 4mm & 6mm Marshmallow, Lime Sorbet, Pink Blush and iridescent Ballerina Pink.

I've put together a fun shaker card using her mix. This cute little girl from Mama Elephant looks like she's tossing them in the air with delight!! The shaker base is made with the Stitched Banner Duo 2 die. I added three of the new Stitched Tabs to the edge for interest along with a Stitched Label 1 for the sentiment. This one's for you baby girl!!

I have a second card to share featuring a couple of the new dies ~ Stitched Duo 3 and the Peek a Boo. Along with 4mm & 6mm Burgundy Sequins and a little snippet of Chevron Twill Ribbon: yellow. The adorable little girl by Mama elephant was stamped, colored, die cut and added to the inside of the  peek a boo cut with foam dots.

TAWS & Winner!

Hi friends! I'm here today to share a third card for my guest month at The Alley Way Stamps! I went pretty clean and simple with this one using their Pick One stamp set.

To begin the card I die cut an edge of my kraft card base with  scalloped Stitched Border 1 Die by PPP. A length of polka dot paper was added under this and I love the way it emphasizes the die cut border! Next I added the sentiment (cute font huh!!). I did some generation stamping using ripe avocado ink and one of the leaf images from the set. And finally a few black rhinestones for a bit of zip!

TAWS ~ Guest Post & Give-a-Way!

Hi there! I'm sharing a card today for my second guest design spot with The Alley Way Stamps! I'll be joining the team for the month of November featuring TAWS products. Today's card was made using the Monster Mash set. 

I think this set is one my daughter-in-law's first grade students will enjoy! There are so many variations possible for the silly little monsters. I used some scraps of Basic Grey paper for my design. I think this sentiment from the set is so much fun and I like the big eyeball too! I used a glitter Gelly Roll pen on it along with the lashes to glam up this gal a bit!

I'm so happy you could spend a little of your time with me today. I appreciate it and your sweet comments.

Well hello everyone, how was your week? I am still without a camera (boo), so things have been pretty quiet here on this little old blog! My iPhone is being uncooperative with photographing a card. So I thought to myself lets just do a give-a-way!!  That's a good way to end the week.

Celebrating a Little Late!

 

Hello sweet bloggy friends! I'm doing a bit of celebrating here but it's just a tad late. This little old blog of mine turned three years old on April 15th!! I had a bunch of posts going on that week. I wanted to do a little give-a-way but I didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle! I can't believe it's been three years, where does the time go??!!??

 

Anyway, I have a sweet little embellishment prize package I've put together for one lucky random winner. I'm going to make this super duper easy for you! As many of you know I'm a former floral designer, so just leave me a comment telling me what your favorite flower is. Easy peasy right!

Give-A-Way Winner!

It's me again coming back to share my give-a-way winner. First I would like to thank everyone who visited during the CSI blog hop. The entire team was happy with our turnout and the feedback we've gotten!

Before I announce my winner I would like to address a couple of questions from the comments on my die storage. 

1). I purchased my Martha Stewart recipe tins at Macy's last year. From what I gather on their website, the tins are no longer available there. But If you google them they are available elsewhere on line. Places like Amazon & Ebay. Sadly the price has been hiked up. I bought both of mine on sale for about $11 each.

2). No I don't store the dies by manufacturer. I store them by what they are. As an example, if I'm looking for flowers they're all in one place. The envelope I store them in lists who made them. This works the best for me so that I'm not searching in different spot for flower dies, they're all together.

Craft Storage Ideas Blog Hop!

Welcome to the first ever CSI Blog Hop!!!

Here's what I have to share with you today. I store my dies in two Martha Stewart Recipe tins. That's right...Miss Martha strikes again!!  

The tins are a bit larger then a typical recipe box measuring 6.25" x 4.5" x 4.75". They come with divider cards that are printed with usual recipe words. I just flip them over to write the names/categories of my dies. When those run out I cut more from inexpensive card stock. 

My dies are are placed in plain white envelopes from Office Max. I trim about 1  1/2" off of the top (this removes the flap), then I add a strip of clear packaging tape over the center seams to make it a bit sturdier. Trimming the envelopes lets them sit lower than the dividers making the index label visible. The name of the company and the dies are written on the envelope. Extra envelopes are kept in the back of the box.

I trim off the ziplock portion of the platsic bag the dies are shipped in and slip this inside the envelope. Extra die cuts can be kept here as well. 

 Now how about some blog candy from me!!!

Hi friends I hope you all had a nice weekend! We had trick or treaters on Saturday evening and then enjoyed a quiet Sunday. Today is the day that someone wins this cute jar of DeNami buttons!!! 

I let my hubby pick the number. I said pick a number between one and twenty nine. Easy task right. Wrong LOL!!! He said "Oh boy do I pick the first number to comment or the last number to comment!"
