NBUS #12!

Hello sweet peeps! The one and only Darnell (who we all know and love!) is having another of her Never Before Used Schtuff challenges! It just so happens that I had two PTI products to choose from for this event. Here's a little number created with one of them.

I had long admired this quilt die after seeing many of my bloggy friends using it. It's been sitting in my die collection lonely and unused for too long. Time to crank that baby through the machine! I've used up lots of little snippets from one of my all time favorite MME paper collections on this one!

With all of those sweet MME pastel paper bits it fits in at The Card Concept too! I think this one falls into their clean and layered category.

Thanks for visiting! Have a delightful day!

12 Kits Part Two!

As promised, I'm back with more cards made from my Sweet Pea Kit for the 12 Kits of Occasions! If you missed yesterday's post check it out here, I have a giveaway! Speaking of Sweet Pea, my stamp set is on sale this month at Precious Remembrance Shop! You can pick it up for a mere $10!

Polka dots and sweet pea pods, what could be cuter!

I punched a couple of extra butterflies from my glittery gold paper scraps. I also used a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 4 die. I'll enter this one in Darnell's NBUS challenge. The digi image is new to me!

The rocking horse paper came from the 6x6 pad I used for the kit.

PPP Mini Tag dies were used on this one to cut some scraps and a sentiment. I also used a floral embossing folder.

And finally some embossed polka dots ground little bits and bobs that were leftover. Once again I used a PPP Mini Tag die for the sentiment.

And there you have it. The end of a plethora of cards made from a Sweet Pea Kit inspired by my tiny Sweet P!! Thanks for visiting ~Lisa

Hey, Sassy Pants!

Hi friends! I'm squeaking in another card for the My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar challenge.

I love the sassy pose this little girl from the Cute-a-tude stamp set has! Thinking this could very well be my little Sweet P in a few years LOL! I broke into a new Pebbles paper pad I bought from Tuesday Morning a few weeks ago. I couldn't resist the pretty papers and the $2.99 price tag! Since it's new, I'll also link this up with Darnell's NBUS challenge. I've used MFT Stitched Circle dies to execute my inlaid die cuts design. I glossed her little shoes so they looked like patent leather. The butterflies are made with a MS punch.

I'm also playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge this week. All those circle die cuts certainly fit the criteria!!

Have a blessed day friends, and thanks for visiting ~Lisa

Autumn Blessings!

Hey, how are you? I finally have a card ready for the fabulous Darnell's NBUS challenge! I tell ya, time is slipping by too quickly these days!

For my NBUS, I've used the wreath and berry clusters from the Simon Says Stamp Autumn Blessing Stamp Set. I had used the little sunflowers on a previous card, but nothing else from the set. I bought it for the pretty wreath! A few PPP sequins (4mm Cranberry & 6mm Marigold) were added for pizazz. The card felt a little bare so I added a PTI heart border and I like it much better now!

So there you go Darnell! Sorry it took so long but happy to finally show you a little bloggy love ~ mwah! ~Lisa

cQc #284 & NBUS #4 ~ Happy Easter!

Hello! Has your week gotten off to a good start? Our daughter-in-law is on Spring Break, so I'm without my little Sweet P. But I'm keeping myself busy with errands and appointments. Yesterday was a hair cut and groceries, today I'm headed to the dentist and tomorrow an eye check up!

Arielle had to deal with some major computer issues, so the last ColourQ challenge was extended an extra week. But things are up and running again and we have a soft pretty spring palette today. I had fun with  playful Easter card, take a look...

These adorable bunnies are from Impression Obsession. I bought them last spring at my local stamp convention and have yet to use them. After die cutting them, I added a bit of chalk to their ears and curled them for some movement.

My scene was created with a grassy border (also IO) and the new Picket Fence Die from Pretty Pink Posh. They're added to a panel colored with swirls of Aqua Mist ink. A trio of A Muse clouds round out the design. PPP sequins (4mm & 6mm Sparkling Clear & Spring Flowers) and tiny Hero Arts gem flowers decorate this spring scene. My little sentiment stamp is by Paper Inspiration.

I'll be joining in again with the fabulous Darnell and her NBUS Challenge. This one will also work for the SSS Wednesday challenge for their Spring theme, so I'll enter there too!

Have I told you lately how much I appreciate your visit and sweet comments?
Well, I do!! I hope this Easter card inspires you to get inky today.
Come play along with us at the ColourQ! ~Lisa

RS #157 & NBUS #4 ~ Get Well!

Hidy ho bloggy friends! We have a beautiful sunny day here in Ohio, buts it's cold, about 30. Nonetheless, that sun sure does lift one's spirits and bring the hope of spring flowers peeking their happy faces out at us sometime soon!

I have a whimsical little number I put together for two challenges today. Darnell has a new NBUS Challenge up and running. This is number 4 for my sweet friend and I know it will be another huge success! For inspiration I turned to this week's Retro Sketch.

I've used three Pretty Pink Posh dies on this card. The new Stitched Banner Duo Picket Fence (this one is my NBUS!) and Stitched Borders 1. The stamps making up my scene are Impression Obsession: tree branch and Stamps by Judith: bees, hive & sentiment. PPP sequins (4mm Aquamarine & 6mm Marigold) are standing in as the buds on my tree. I layered a couple of them with a big flower from the Springtime Mix to anchor the sentiment.

Thanks for popping by ~Lisa

Royally Charming!

Well hi ya, how are you? My week has just been dandy with little Sweet P and I spending our days together. Daddy is working from home today, so grandma has the day off and I plan to run several errands and I'm getting a late start. But before I'm off and running, I have a card to share!

Have you seen that CASology has teamed up with sweet Darnell this week in her NBUS challenge? Yep that's right, the cue word is NBUS. In case you're unfamiliar with Darnell's term, it means Never Before Used Schtuff! My inspiration for the design comes from my friend Jen's cute sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I'll also be playing along at SSS's Wednesday Challenge blog, {It's a Guy Thing}.

I bought a Darcies stamp set at last Spring's stamp convention specifically for this little knight in shining armor. That's the way I think of my husband, my hero! But I have yet to use him and today is the day!

I made a circle stencil to ink in my background. Then I added the sentiment, so cute just like my guy! My knight is stamped and trimmed out, then added with foam tape. I love this card and will give it my hubby for something special.

I hope you have a simply delightful day! ~Lisa

Wishing You Well!

Hey there, I'm back with a card I put together for three challenges! Two of my sweet bloggy friends have terrific challenges going on right now. Darnell (djkardkreations) is sponsoring her popular NBUS and Kara (K and R Designs) brought us something fun from her Friday Inspiration File feature. And the third, well that would be Simon Says Stamp {Something New}.

The inspiration for this card comes from Gayatri's card in Kara's file #154. I stuck close to her pretty design with a few little changes. I've used my new Reverse Confetti stamps and dies along with a couple of PTI leaves that had yet to be inked to qualify for the new and the never-before-used-schtuff! Once I finished the card it needed some bling and my new Pretty Pink Posh seed beads worked perfectly!

That's it from me on this bitter cold snowy day ~ brrrr! ~Lisa
