Sun, sand, blue sky and with the ocean as backdrop this has been the summers best hang out place. There is nothing better than digging your toes into warm sand and finding a stick and instantly you have the biggest drawing pad in front of you. We love coming down to the beach as I am sure you know by now. It is the best baby sitter as you can perch on the sand dunes with a coffee in hand and just watch them go wild. Loud voices, big jumps and giggles and nobody to tell you off. These lovely soft threads from Kukukid is the perfect beach attire. I love the mint colour in this seasons collection and it is such a great colour for both boys and girls. In fact most items works just as well on boys as on girls because the prints are also unisex.
What you can't see in the photos is the lovely stretch these clothes have. They have such a good fit and because of the nice 5 % spandex content it means your kids can wear it for a longer period of time as they are growing. The great Dino hoodies have been a favourite for a while in our house. Again, both my boy and girl are equally happy for this one and it has... hands down the coolest silhouette ever!

Moments | Take Me to the Sea
I don't want to admit it, but it did feel like we got the last warm dose of the summer this weekend. The forecast had plenty of sun in store for us so we took the chance to soak it up and squeeze in a dip in the ocean before it gets too cold! It is such a treat that we could throw off the shoes and stick our toes into the warm, white sand. A lazy afternoon in the sand dunes is pretty much the best way to spend a weekend, so there were plenty of happy faces here.
We are a big fans of the fun label Kukukid, a label that focuses on rebel but cute! Their new ocean themed collection was the perfect fit for a day close to the sea. These days there seem to be less unisex clothes on the market so that is a huge plus for us. Their gender neutral prints goes so well for all kids of the family and is easy to hand down to younger siblings. I also like that they have a lovely mix of 95% cotton and a dash of 5 % spandex to create the unique stretch feeling, which makes it easier for the kids to dress themselves and it also gives the clothes a longer lasting life. We are also happy to see their trademark the rounded, longer back is still there.. it gives the tops such a nice, unique feel and transform a ordinary tee into something quite special!
We fell head over heals for the mint colour and their new navy Dino hoodie is nothing but amazing. Where can you find such a cool profile on a hoodie!? The zip goes up over the chin and is the perfect companion when the wind goes cold on you.
A Little Bit of Cheek is one of the few Australian retailers of this brand down here in Australia and they have taken in a big portion of this collection. There you can find the cheeky octopus tee, the delicious fresh mint paper boat baggy pants and the seriously cool Dino hoodie.

Moments | On the Boardwalk
D wears: Long gloved zip hoodie by Nununu / pants by Kukukid / Shoes by Puma. M wears: Chaya Dress by molo / Cat stockings by Stella McCartney / Shoes by 10 IS.
The weather keeps jumping from hot to cool, depending on where the wind comes from. It doesn't mean you don't go out, you just throw on an extra layer and make the most of it. Here are a few photos from an afternoon stroll down on the St Kilda Boardwalk. A popular hangout for beach visitors, skaters, even horse riders! In between the long beach, you can find plenty of restaurants, sport equipment hiring, a sea bath and playgrounds. We don't normally venture here so it was fun to take the kids to a place they haven't seen in a while.
It is just on the other side of the main road to the amusement park Luna Park which we visited the weekend before. Then it was almost 30C and a bit different to this days 15C. When the wind was too strong we sneaked into a nice little take away place and shared some chilli dogs, a perfect end to a nice day in the fresh sea air.

Moments | Wild One
M wears: Dress by Kukukid / Leggings by Kukukid / Dino Hoodie by Kukukid / Shoes by Hummel. D wears: Thunderbolt Tee by Kukukid / Dehli Denims by I Dig Denim / Dino Hoodie by Kukukid / Shoes by Vans.
We are a couple of days into holiday and the kids seem to have gotten wild. They crave running and after a few days of begging to go to the skate park we finally went today. They were lucky to be trying out the great Kukukid gear I wrote about in previous post and it was the most fitting attire for a couple of wild, holiday kids. We love the awesome dino hoodies and as you can see it fits girls as well as boys! It was a sunny but windy day and the wind was cold, but no complaints from the kids since the hoodies are thick and goes far down over the back. It is the perfect winter outfit for Australia or a great Spring/Autumn warmer for Europe.
The kids were admiring their shadows and loved comparing their spikes. Best thing with this label is no doubt their unisex feel because my almost 8 year old girl and almost 5 year old boy seem to be able to wear the same size (7/8) and all garments mix and match and works just as well for both of them.
Hope you are all enjoying your holidays out there (winter or summer)!
