School holiday is in full swing over here. It is a mix between blissful moments with just mother and daughter and also a bit of head scratching on how to manage to get some work done and entertain your school free child at the same time. I am fortunate enough to be able to most of my work from home so we manage to combine fun and work time pretty OK by now. Here are some photos from our first day off. We met up with some good friends for lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon down by the beach side to just play and chat together.  We found a whole handful of beach treasures to put in the special box at home (the one you have to remember to put a bit extra high so little brother doesn't reach it). Then it was time for some recharge in the form of coffee for mum and icy pole for the daughter. We ended it off with sharing a huge plate of season fruits. Good end to a great first day of school holiday.

Brand Watch | Mini & Maximus FW13

Californian label Mini & Maximus is almost out with another exciting FW13 collection. This one entitled "LOS BANDITOS" is packed with mischievous wear for the little bandits in our lives.  There are some more cool graphics and art ready to be worn, and a few good messages like "don't grow up' and 'no bullying' as well. Happy to announce that my girl M has drawn another little addition to the collection, the sneaky M, which is featured on a sweatshirt and a few dresses. It is always fun to see how the drawings comes out on the finished garment, and we are very excited for this one! The colours keys for this collection are olive green, burnt red, deep teal, khaki and a splash of pink.

The Los Banditos collection will be out in a couple of weeks time, and will be available in stores like, Minitbots / Orange Mayonnaise / Scandinavian Minimall / Skip To My Lou / My Little Square / Noeuf and of course in Mima's own webshop.

Brand Watch | NicoNico AW13

A look at the new AW13 range from US based label Nico Nico. We have been long time fans of this label for its buttery soft raglan tops and comfy leggings and sweatpants. Less is more with this label and their new range doesn't disappoint!  While a lot of labels seem to mute down the colours for Autumn and Winter Nico Nico turn them up with colour names like citrus, tomato and midnight. They have also added some gorgeous, neutral thick knits in heather grey, oatmeal and black that goes well with most attires.

This weekend went way too fast. Felt like it was Friday yesterday, and this week is going to fly by in a fast pace I think. After a rather hectic Saturday we shifted gears and took a slow Sunday. Sundays are quite magical actually. I remember as a kid Sundays felt just like that, magic and a little bit sad because you knew the weekend was on it's last dance.  The Easter Holiday will be welcomed for sure, the promise of time off and slow mornings sounds amazing and it can't come quick enough. It is time peeps! ESP no 1 SS13 Collection

I have always liked the raw seams and nice color picks from ESP no 1's collections. Here is a sneak peek at what we can expect from the spring/summer 13 collection.  Nice bright colors with a dash of neon. As usual I am loving the denims and the little neon strings on some of the tops looks great. Howling Cool!

There was one thing I couldn't resist getting from the new collection of ESP no.1 over at Skip To My Lou. This wicked tee with a howling wolf was just too cool to walk by. I am so weak for this vintage black look with raw edges and soft quality. It is definitely ESP no.1 signature trademark and it is something I always seem to fall for. The cotton is light and airy and this tee is one that will just get better with age. To accompany it I bought a wrap scarf from the same label and the best thing about this one is that it stays on! Again soft quality with no itch in sight! I can't wait until the days will get warmer and the little guy can be sporting this one without a big sweater on top!
