BRAND WATCH | baobab AW15

Welcome to another brand watch! This time I'd like to show you another great label from Australia, that has a strong focus on organic fuss free clothing for kids. 

Meet baobab - every season they make a collection of clothes for kids that are stylish but 'wearable' and super comfy. Made from soft but durable fabric. The range caters for baby (3months-2yrs) girls (2yrs-10yrs) and boys (2yrs-6yrs). This seasons colours are vibrant and ‘pop out’ with the custom designed prints in ‘house of cards’, ‘abstract shapes’, ‘brushstokes’ as well as an orginal series of animal placement prints on dresses and tees.

There's a focus on details - in the stitching, curved hem lines, the bell-sleeves, the raglan cuts, the ribbed necklines, the shell buttons, the oversized pockets and the wide cut tees. Their garments are made of 100% cotton and the majority of the knits are made from GOTS certified organic cotton - soft on the skin and good for the world!

SHOOT | Scotch Shrunk AW15

There is no doubt that when March arrives you know summer is on its way out. Before us is some golden months of Autumn and then Winter will take over. Time to have a look in the wardrobes and see if we are ready for the colder months. I had a great time shooting some of this AW15 Scotch Shrunk collection for Buckets and Spades. This is a label we try and stock up on each season, their high quality wear is perfect for active boys. Tough wearing denim and cool prints is a must in every boy's wardrobe and this season delivers some great styles!

D is wearing some of our favourite picks for the season - a good, warm outfit to last through the two colder season ahead of us. We love their new shirts with prints which comes in a few different versions, and their worn denims are a perfect fit for anything. This model is great with a bit of stretch and a soft feel.

Moments | On a Leaf Mission

The leaves are coming down in huge numbers over here. Autumn has really made its announcement in style and the explosion of colours are spectacular as usual. D was on a mission to find the best looking Autumn leaves he could for a Kinder project, so off we went to see what we could find. We quickly found some nice BIG leaves that we saved, and he also found a big pile of dried leaves that was the best to jump and walk in. By the end of our little walk we had found everything he needed to bring to Kinder, and today I saw the most lovely Autumn tree, handmade by all the kids at Kinder with all the leaves attached to it. Autumn you are alright! You bring us warmth in colours when the winds fail to.

A quick trip to get something sweet and discover all the colour on the ground and on the trees. Autumn is really in full swing and lately we have gotten the best of both worlds, warm and an explosion of colour everywhere. What's not to like...

Moments | In the Wonderful Wild

The weekend brought some more nice moments and here are a bunch of them. The kids were lucky to test out a long time favourite label of ours, Scotch Shrunk (boys) and Scotch R'Belle (girls). The younger off shoot of popular adult, Amsterdam brand Scotch & Soda. This is a label that understands the wonderful world of details and let me tell you there are plenty on these lovely threads.

Cross stitching, detailed buttons, hidden prints, secret messages for the owners etc makes these clothes so much fun to own and wear. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into each garment and the quality is top notch. I will make sure to show you just how lovely the details are up close soon, so keep an eye out for that later this week. 

We had a nice weekend with exceptional warm weather for being so late in the Autumn season, so we decided to visit one of our favourite spots that not that many people know about. The wild fauna reserve. It's almost like a hidden gem in the middle of suburbia.  Here you can find great logs to climb, wonderful leaves to explore and an abundance of hidden paths that seem to lead to new exciting spots.  We came home with some new nature buddies, Mr. Pine cone and few new garden rocks, luckily a tree lizard was too quick to accompany us home (sigh of relief to the parents). 

I hope you all had nice weekend out there too. When Monday comes around the corner I always feel like it went way too fast. I am sure I am not alone feeling that way. Here's to a good start of the week and more lovely moments to share soon.
