Let It Snow Blog Hop

Welcome to the Let It Snow Blog Hop!!

Grab a warm beverage and sit back to enjoy the projects today with the theme of winter and snow!  Did you trek over from Cindy?  If so you made it here, but if you got caught in a snow storm and want to start with our blog hostess, venture over to Lisa.

My first card is a criss-cross design - I used two different 12 x 12 papers - one from Crate Paper (patterned) and the other from Paper Nest (plain red sorbet); this actually was enough to make two different looking cards; it allows you to have a pocket and you can write your personal message on the back of the large tag in the pocket.

I also used the following:
*Sentiment - Happy Holidays from my stamp stash
*Punch for snowmen
*Jaded Blossom dies
*SU Snowflake framelits
*LoveBug Creation Rumple Ribbon

You can google many tutorials on how to construct this card and it can be cut either in a vertical or horizontal style - mine is horizontal.

Here are several more with the same idea plus photos of the insert of each - SU cardstock, a snow person sticker, Bestie snow girl, and of course, LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon on the first and LBC Simply Sheer on the second

Hope you enjoyed the snow inspiration to create your own Let It Snow projects!

Angela's 30th B-Day Blog Hop

Welcome to Angela's 30th B-Day Blog Hop.  If you hopped over from Jennyfer you're on the right path, but if you just stumbled upon this and want to begin at the start spot of our blog hostess and birthday gal, then hop over to Angela
Happy Birthday, Angela, - a sweet cyber friend!  I spy blog candy along the way too!!

The Sizzix Big Kick came out to make one of my all time favorites for this hop - the paper doll complete with Sizzix faces.  Since Angela's birthday is a wintry time, I chose some winter clothing for the dolls - and I also dusted off my crimper to give a bit of dimension to the clothing and used Glossy Accent for each doll's hair.  Each sweet friend was topped off with a bow made from our LoveBug Rumple Ribbon. Both triple-stamped doll cards show different shades of red. The other items I used are all SU products - cardstock, stamps, and ink. The center panel is Kraft paper.  The glitz is Stickles - love those!   Hope your birthday is super, Angela!!!

I am entering these dolls in the All That Stickles Challenge - using Christmas Red Stickles

Remember no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it........cyberbirthday blessings.........Mama LoveBug.

Let It Snow Blog Hop

Welcome to the Let It Snow Blog Hop! If you popped over from Janet you are on the right path, but if you stumbled on this and want to begin at the start spot go to our blog hostess Shannon
Our theme was to create a project using snow, so LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW seemed like a good sentiment to start my project, or should I say projects, because when I made my original project, I decided I might as well make two, and then that snowballed into three...........
I started with a darling digi by Sherri Baldy and made a tiny wall hanging for my craft studio:
From the top I started out with some twine and a brad to make a loop to attach to a large snowflake I cut out using a Sizzix die (several die cuts and three different colors), then I adhered that onto some LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon which was then used to dangle my digi girl with the Snow theme. For her I used soft pinks (colored pencils) with accents using a gel pen and Stickles.

Well, just like a snow ball hurtling down the hill, I decided to use the same digi for a larger project - a double-sided stand-up card. So here's the Queen of Snow.........

Snow Diva was printed out at about 6" and again highlighted with gel-pens and lots of Stickles, plus she had to have a bow tie made from LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon. I cut her out and then adhered her to sturdy cardstock and cut her out once more. Of course since she's double-sided I had to do the whole process twice with a printed out reverse image and used double-sided tape at the top of her hat to keep the pieces together........yeah, I know......it was a lot of fussy cutting but the result was pretty neat (in my opinion).

After I got those two finished, I received my Toodle digi of the month, which was....you guessed it.......a snow fighting gal........so I made a triple stamp card using her image plus SU cardstock and stamps, plus my favorite ribbon yet again - LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon.

I'm going to enter the All That Stickles Challenge All That Stickles

For today I am sharing with you the first banner I've ever made. I decided to go with a "winter" theme for this one. I have to hand it to those of you that make banners a lot. I thought this would be easy peasy...oh I was wrong...at least for me it wasn't! So kudos to all that can do these and do them well!!!

For my 1st banner I made it using last years "Winter Wonderland" DCWV stack. Love that paper stack! It's filled with beautiful blues and silvers. I wanted to do snowflakes and thought how neat it would be to have them cut out in ornaments. So I got out my Imagine and went to work. Now I can't remember for the life of me which cartridge this is from but it had all kinds of things in the ornaments! For the solid ornaments on each end I added some elements from the paper stack that I fussy cut. With the snowflake ornaments I back them with glitter paper to make them really pop! I have a photo below of the front, some close ups of the ornaments, and then a photo of the back. The back is plain and simple but at least it'll look nice from both sides :)

So there you have it. My first banner! I can't wait to ship this one and one for tomorrow off to the Children's Hospital!

Now don't forget we ♥ followers (old & new) and comments too!!! :)

On to your next stop: Janet!
