Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop.

Did you sleigh ride over from guest designer Ashley? If so you’re on the right path, but if you stumbled upon this hop and want to begin with our hostess, skate over to Lisa.

This hop will take place November 25-December 6 and the new postings each day will be up by 8 AM EST. The hop will be full of wonderful ideas and inspiration to get you well on your way to create all of those beautiful Christmas projects. This is an awesome opportunity to get a lot of your Christmas cards, and scrapbook layouts finished, home decorations completed, and be inspired to create something using a new technique.

There will be a new project posted each day by all the wonderful amazing ladies in this hop. Also each day we will have a guest designer for you to visit. Lisa, our hostess, will be giving away some wonderful blog candy each day of the hop from the amazing sponsors that we have. Lisa will be posting all the winners from this hop on December 10. Every one has a chance to win including the ladies participating in the hop and even the guest designers and the sponsors. At the end of each post we will have a list of all the sponsors so all you need to do is click on their name to go to their sites and check out all the wonderful sites. We want to thank each of the sponsors for their generosity. It has been greatly appreciated.

Also please leave a love note with each hop crafter and become a fan if you’re not already.

Hi, Crafties, Mama LoveBug here - last year I created a 12 Days of Christmas Count Down and I'm doing the same this year too.  The difference is I have a Cameo, so many of my projects will be cut with this awesome machine, but all will feature images from Digi My World's 12 Days of Christmas.  These are not huge projects, but when you collect them all together at the end, they can be used as table decor for decorating a holiday gathering, office party, or in my case a library display.  By the end of our 12 days I'm betting you'll know this song by heart!!

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Six geese a-laying

Five golden rings (day 5)
Four calling birds (day 4)
Three French hens (day 3),
Two turtle doves (day 2),

And a partridge in a pear tree! (day 1)
Recipe
*Digi My World image - fussy cut and accented with gel pens and Stickles
*Cameo-cut side-step card - K and Co cardstock
*SU stamped ornament - I used a triple-stamping technique for the long rectangle at front left
*LoveBug Creations Christmas Grunge Rumple Ribbon

Christmas in July Blog Hop

WELCOME to the Christmas in July Blog Hop – Mama LoveBug aka Pam is very pleased to be a hop spot for this event.

Hostess Ashley has info on her blog concerning blog candy so check this out. Drop by each site and share some Christmas cheer with each crafty Christmas card creator:

The premise of the hop is to showcase a Christmas card that can be created quickly.  Well, I don’t know if my project fits the bill but I’ll let you judge for yourself.

Today I’m sharing a card using Stampin’ Up punches and paper.  This can be done in assembly line fashion to create a cute and memorable little card.

Here are the instructions:

1.  Make the following card pieces from punches – I used SU punches but you could use others if you have something that works as well

Quantity/Color/Punch/Use

1 White XL Oval (base of face)
1 Red XL Oval/Embossed (hat)
1 White Ornamental (could use heart punch embossed) (beard)
2 White Bird Wing (mustache)
1 Silver Glitter ½” Circle (embellie for hat)
1 Blush or Bridal Pink Large Oval (face)
2 Black Owl (eyes)
1 Blush or Bridal Pink Owl (nose)
1 Red Owl (mouth)
1 Green 2 ½” Circle (base of entire created image)

2. Cut the following papers – you could make this bigger if you’d like

1 red 3” x 8”
2 white 3 ¾” x 3 ½”

3.  Grab supplies
*white gel pen
*glue runner
*pop dots or mini dots

4.  Assemble your card base of the red with each of the 2 white rectangles – one for front and one for inside

5.  Adhere your pieces to create the Santa and use pop dots to “make Santa pop up or stand out” and adhere to card front

6.  Pick a sentiment that is your favorite – I used SU “A Very Merry Christmas To You” and stamp it below Santa image – you could use this again for inside, switch to another sentiment, or leave it blank and write in your own special message

7.  There you have a quick, assembly line Christmas card…..again if you don’t have the punches, you could cut these shapes out on a machine such as Cricut; Sizzix also has some Christmas dies that might also work for the image of this card or something like it.

This is a close-up of the card face

This is a pic of the card opened up and the last is what you start off with

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Perpetual B-Day Calendar

Good Monday, Crafties.  Mama LoveBug has a project to share with you today - it's a perpetual birthday calendar.

I wanted to make some gifts for several wonderful people in an organization that I belong to so I made each officer a  treat.  I took a blank SU perpetual calendar and designed the fronts of each with the person's special things, using favorite colors and collectible ideas.  One gal loves angels so I dipped into my PPbN pattern collections and used an angel from Always By Your Side Angel Bears collection plus a Marci image from La-La Land.  It's great that PPbN things can be used with other images - paper piecings, stamps, and digis.  The possibilities are endless.  Visit PPbN and check out these unique patterns at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/

Here's the finished project and a pic of what a blank month looks like - you never have to jot down the dates (can be more than birthdays) at the end or start of a year.  It's all kept in one organizational tool.  Cool!

Hope you are having a great, crafting day - remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it...........cyberhugs...........Mama LoveBug

Think In Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the Think In Pink Blog Hop – LoveBug Creations is very happy to be a part of this event.  Today is National Pink Day so this hop is dedicated to all things pink

Hopefully you just visited Cathie-http://cathiescafe-scraphappy.blogspot.com/ and hopped our way!

Jessi, our hop hostess, has some amazing blog candy for you hoppers so grab a cup of coffee or tea or whatever and settle back as you visit each blog station.  Remember to leave some love at each spot in order to be in the running for blog candy – more details on this can be found on Jessi’s site.
Jessi- http://mylifeinartscrafts.blogspot.com/

Mama LoveBug has two projects to share today – one is a graduation pocket card using, of course, pink as the main color.  The paper doll is a Sizzix die cut and Sizzix face stamp as are the accessories – the cap, gown, and diploma.  The sentiments are from Pink By Design - "The tassel is worth the hassle"(on insert) and "hats off" which were adhered to two butterflies (SU punch) plus a longer sentiment using pink chintz paper (both on base of card).  For added definition I used pink stickles and pink pearls to add PINK MAGIC.............

My second project is a birthday card for one of my daughters – the image is from La-La Land, which I colored with pencils, markers, and gel pens.  The sentiment was again from Pink By Design. I started out with some very sweet SU double-sided paper to fashion the pocket card.

The next two pictures are the pocket card base and insert of the Birthday Blessings - the sentiment on the bow has reference to "calling" which goes splendidly with the La-La Land Marci image. For the base I also made a patchwork pink bow using a Sizzix die and several squares of pink SU paper.

And here's the finished pocket card.

Hope you’re having a great pink day and thanks for hopping by.  Leave me a comment and become a new follower if you've a mind............Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it..........cyberhugs...........Mama LoveBug.
