Mermaids Make Memories (say that fast three times)

This "under the sea" theme cried out - put a mermaid on it!!!

A center-step card using Miss Melissa Mermaid (colored her with alcohol markers), some punched out butterflies, a few water-colored flowers, a sentiment of "thinking of you", and a bit of glitz shows off a nice card to send to a shut-in. (Pardon my studio table, but you can see where I create)

This mermaid, Mae, is a digi stamp that I colored and fussy cut for a bulletin board project at Vacation Bible School.

I added a fancy container with flowers as a background for her.  I used a regular coloring book page for the background and dressed it up with some sparkle and shine.  Mae is an articulated paper doll (meaning her arms can move) which adds interest to the project.

BTW - August 2 is National Adult Coloring Day - many libraries and other venues are encouraging adults to color to resolve stress issues.  It's fun and it's relaxing!!!

Up next is the extraordinary KIM

Let's Find A Cure - Pink's Not My Color With Mama LoveBug

Breast Cancer Awareness is a very important issue and one close to my heart as I have several friends who are dealing with this.  Bugaboo Digi Stamp (Ruby) has a fresh take on the cause with both a delightful focal point and sentiment.

Mama LoveBug here today, welcoming in the month of September with several awareness triple-embossed  cards to share.

Both of my cards have the same elements aside from different embossing folders used and different inks - the top is Ranger Distressed Ink and the bottom is Stampin Up Blushing Bride.

I also used
*Mama LoveBug's private reserve rumple ribbon
*Jaded Blossom Awareness Die
*Stampin Up cardstock and whisper white paper for triple mats
*Gel pen for accenting after using colored pencils for coloring Ruby

Remember no matter how you bunch your blooms, rumple your ribbon, and piece your paper, have fun with it................Cyber Cancer Awareness.........Mama LoveBug

Taking Action With A Wobble - Retirement Card

It's been a long time since I made a card to submit for a challenge, but here goes..........this is a retirement card for a church lady who has given 110% of her time and talents over the last years.  It's now 5 o'clock everyday for her and to celebrate, I created a little something for her special party using an action wobble on the inside for some giggles and grins.

I used two Art Impression Stamps for the focal images on my triple-embossed card plus the following:
*Mama LoveBug's private reserve rumple ribbon
*Sentiments from print and cut from the Cameo store
*Stampin Up embossing folder and cardstock
*Ranger distressed ink
*and of course, an ACTION WOBBLE on the inside

I'm entering this in the Action Wobble Challenge found HERE

Connie's Simply Fun Card ♥

Hello Lovebugs!!

Connie Can Crop
here with a new project to share using my favorite LoveBug Creations Products!!

I have this crazy card template called a Zig Zag Pop in and Out Card Template. I won it a few years ago at the Expo. I have tried on several occasions to figure this thing out.
Well today is your lucky day! LOL!
I think I did this right. And if I didn't you will never know. Ha!
Here's my Thinking of You card.

This is the front view with the card closed.

This view shows the card starting to open as you pull  the front to the right.

And here is the card opened up completely. You would add your personal message on the back panel which is actually the left side.

This was my first attempt at this card and I think it's pretty cool. My 13 year old thought so too. So in my book if a teenager likes it then that is good enough for me!! Hope you liked it too.

This card features lots of gorgeous Simply Red Rumple Ribbon from LoveBug Creations.

Other products used:
My Mind's Eye Paper and Diecuts
Buttons
Black ink ctmh
Tim holtz tiny attacher
Stick and pop dots

Please stop by my blog to read more details and see more pics of this and other projects using LBC products. Become my follower, join in my monthly challenges or just come hang out at

Mondays With Mama - Bonjour Triple Stamped Card

Bonjour is a French word meaning "good day".  Don't you know someone who would love that expression and appreciate the sentiment from your handmade card?

Mama LoveBug here wishing you all Bonjour with a triple stamped card.  That's the way I roll on a Monday!!

What did I use?  Well of course I had in mind some LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon - Southern Sass Collection - peach blossom store info

And then I added Stampin Up cardstock and whisper white paper for the triple stamping mats; I employed a few butterfly-dragonfly-flowers from my stamp stash and a Julie Nutting Paper Doll stamped and fussy cut plus the sentiment from her set - Bonjour.  To complete the theme I stamped a building - do you recognize it??

Remember no matter how you bunch your blooms, rumple your ribbon, and piece your paper - have fun with it................cyber Bonjour to you...........Mama LoveBug.
