My project is a perpetual calendar for any important dates - as a school treat it could contain the b-days of family, friends, classmates, big events like holiday occasions or school celebrations, etc.  This would be a wonderful gift for the teacher, librarian, bus driver, etc for Christmas.  The possibilities are endless.
I decided to participate in a Linky Party at Craftin Desert Divas

Recipe
*A blank pre-made perpetual calendar - each month allows one to note important dates; at the end of the year you don't have to recopy the info which makes this much better than the old "take a new calendar and copy the important items onto it and throw away the old calendar" method
*Specialty school cardstock
*Clipart images from Digi My World - each one of the eight school tool characters that I used (there's more in that collection) is delightful for other things - 3D projects, cards, bookmarks, scrapbook LO's, etc; I printed, fussy cut, positioned, and gel-pen highlighted each character - see these sweeties HERE
*Computer-generated sentiment - School Is Cool
*LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon - bows on several characters and two for the top to give those finishing touches - check out LBC online store HERE

As a retired teacher with 38 years in the same system, I wish I had one of these during my career, but sadly I wasn't into paper crafting then.......on the upside, I can design one for myself as well as give these as gifts.  I bet you know someone who would like one too!!

Down the Rabbit Hole with Fun Footz and Digi My World

Hello Crafties, Mama LoveBug here!  Have you tried designing with Clip Art?  If you don't have time or the inclination to color your digi stamps, but need a fun project for a card, layout, or table decoration/display, why not try a wonderful whimsical image from Digi My World?????  Glitz them up with Stickles, gel pens, etc AND don't forget LoveBug Creations Fun Footz Polka Dot Parade!

“I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

This quote is sooooo true for me as anyone who knows me would tell you, I would have never thought I'd delve into papercrafting or art or anything remotely associated with crafting!  Oh how I've enjoyed this adventure down the rabbit hole...........why not start your journey with clipart or digi stamps or paperpiecing.....the experience is out of this world with endless possibilities.

Since I am employed at our local library after retiring from a 38-year teaching position, I wanted to breathe some excitement, color, and imagination into an old multi-windowed display case.  To this end I've fashioned many double-sided stand-up cards, which are presented there on a rotating basis....out with the old and on with the new (so to speak).

For me, I like to fussy cut my images - I printed out Alice twice - one as you see and one in a horizontal flip.  I then adhered each print to Kraft cardstock (don't want her to fall over) and fussy cut two more times.  Hey, with a great pair of scissors (CutterBee), it's not a chore! Then as I said above, you can glitz your character any way you want.  Add some LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon and/or our newest product, Fun Footz, patterned ribbon, and you'll be the talk of your crafty set.

Digi My World has so many delightful and unique images to choose from in clip art and in digi stamp formats.  Journey down that rabbit hole for an utterly wonderful treat - you won't be disappointed!

Have a lovely day.........remember no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it........cyberhugs......Mama LoveBug.
