Happy Fall, Ya'll - Mama LoveBug Style

Good Tuesday to you crafties!  It's Mama LoveBug with a fall center step card today.

Fall is such a warm and cozy time with rich shades of colors to play with - yummy oranges, yellows, reds, browns, greens, and various other non-traditional autumn hues; it also screams out for some grunge and that's what I designed for you today.

I cut this out on my Cameo and used a delightful crow image from an old file I had from PPbN - lots of crows, pumpkins, and apple baskets in that one. I put a row of black pearls on the front part of the step.  The center panel image has some gel glitter pen accents. The other embellies were pumpkin and leaf stickers plus a grungy bow for the basket made from the LBC Halloween Grunge collection see online store for more details - just the right color to spice up the card.

Happy Fall, Ya'll.........remember no matter how you rumple your ribbon and piece your paper, have fun with it........cyberfall......Mama LoveBug.

Stephanie's Thinking of You & Mama LoveBug's First "Cameo" Project - A Slider Card

Hey everyone! It's Stephanie here again to share a card I made using rumple ribbon and cardstock from The Robin's Nest.

This card came together quickly and I love the way it turned out! The glitter cardstock from The Robin's Nest is so fun to work with. I used the gorgeous "Rosebud" rumple ribbon which can be found in the store. For more information about this card you can visit my blog.
Thanks for letting me share with you all. Have a wonderful day!

AND NOW FOR MAMA'S PROJECT!!!
Butterfly Kisses to You Today.  With so many birthdays cropping up I decided to share a birthday card I made with my new Cameo…….yes, I’ve joined the Cameo love-fest with such a vast array of possibilities for crafty fun.  This was my first card and I picked a style way out of my comfort zone for this – a slider card.  My mom's b-day is in a few weeks and since she lives in a nursing home, I wanted to design something that could be hung for her enjoyment.

Now you can see the intricate cut on the outside of the slider, which has sort of a bellyband with a cut out in the center.  I used a stamp from my stash, which says Butterfly Kisses and Birthday Wishes.  I used some other products to decorate this very dainty card:
*The Robin’s Nest Dew Drops and The Robin's Nest Sorbet collection in pink for the butterfly HERE
*LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon for the triple bow, the bottom bow, and top tail – I thought this could be used as a doorknob hanging or on a wall or bulletin board HERE
*Butterfly punch
*Decorative butterfly from my embellie stash

Remember no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it..........cyberhugs.......Mama LoveBug

Mama's Shout Out To The Robin's Nest & Ellen's Manly Birthday Card ♥

Good Day, Crafties!  Did you know that The Robin's Nest has some really cool sorbet paper and clear dew drops? With these products you can make some really awesome paper crafting projects!

Shop by (yes I said shop) The Robin's Nest HERE and check out some amazing things!!
-Blue Raspberry Glitter Sorbet paper
-Clear dew drops
-Sooooooo much more

Here is my project:

I used the beautiful blue raspberry glitter sorbet paper for my triple-stamped card and a piece of Kraft paper for the mats; I stamped butterfly images and flowers on Whisper White SU paper.  Next I punched out 2 butterflies and distress-inked them with a lighter blue and popped one on top of the other for dimension.  I adhered the clear dew drops from The Robin's Nest onto the the centers of the stamped butterflies and the punched-out ones and had fun using Stickles to add some glitz on these.  I finished off the Thinking of You card with a double-bow of LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon which you can see HERE

Just in case you want the triple-stamp dimensions so you can make your own card, here they are:
Dimensions for the stamped layers - 1 each
2" x 3-1/4"
3" x 4-1/4"
4" x 5-1/4"
Dimensions for the cardstock mat layers - 1 each
2-1/4" x 3-1/2"
3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold for card base to get a great crease).......and have lots of fun stamping and decorating

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it.......cybersorbet.........Mama LoveBug

PS.......Drop by our blog on Saturday, May 4, for LoveBug Creations CT and Customer Blog Hop for Mother's Day.........I'll be showing off something really special that day and BLOG CANDY........YAYAYAYA

AND NOW FOR ELLEN'S PROJECT

Hi Rumple Ribbon friends! It's Ellen CardMonkey back with another card that features one of my very favorite accents: Lovebug Creations' Rumple Ribbon -- this one in "Eyes of Blue".

Do you have as much difficulty as I do coming up with masculine cards? I usually cop out and buy those cards -- the guys never seem to appreciate the time put into custom cards anyway. Or is it just my guys?? Well I have a friend who rides a Hog (Harley-Davidson), and I thought maybe he would like this ...

The outside of the card is fairly simple; that elegant blue edge is the Rumple Ribbon. I love how it blends with the Close To My Heart "Later Sk8r" paper. Inside, the motorcycle on the move actually pops up from the card when it's opened. Pop on over to my blog for more deets.

Trick or Treat? ~ PPbN DT Offering

Hello everyone!!! I know I know...It's November and Halloween is over...BUT I never did share with you any of the Halloween cards I made! So I thought I better do it now before it's Thanksgiving and too late!!!

I used a bunch of things from my stash of last years Halloween goodies so I couldn't even begin to tell you what it is what...EXCEPT...The cute little kitty cat Bear is from the "Beary Scary" file from Paper Piecings by Nikki! Totally cute set full of bears dressed up as different Halloween characters!!!

The second card I'm going to share is spooky and you must have a sense of humor to enjoy...But it is also using the PPbN set "Beary Scary"
I mainly made this card so I could use the spooky tree! LOL...I've had it since last year and have been waiting to use it! And if you can't clearly read the name on the headstone its "Dunn Gondahel" hehehe
See...where the sense of humor comes in???
But isn't my bear super scary looking??? I used a Peachy Keen Stamp and loved the effect of it!!!

So there you have it...
2 fun cards that are completely different using the same pattern set from PPbN!!!

Hope you enjoyed them and had an awesome Halloween!!

Bug hugs,
Kimi

Christmas Paper Piecing Blog Hop

Welcome to the Christmas Paper Piecing Blog Hop
Nikki of Paper Piecings By Nikki is hosting this blog hop and has a line up of very talented designers for this two day hop.

The blog spot line up is as follows:

Nikki wanted us to show off some of her paper piecings for this event so I purchased the Spud Pals aka Potato Head Family and turned them into Christmas cards.

The Potato Heads are of particular importance to me as I had a Mr. Potato Head game (the first one) when I was a child and I think of it as a classic - so easily recognizable.  These little characters just fill me with nostalgia for games of entertainment that are not tied to electricity like so much of today's children’s amusements.  This was a game that the whole family could play together without the TV blaring or the hum of a computer in the background.  It's old-fashioned fun and the papers I used are rather vintage Christmas paper for the Spud Pals - Santa, Mrs. Claus, Elf, and Reindeer.

Versatility is the spice of life........Of course, paper piecing can also mean taking a stamped or digi image and doing a bit of fussy cutting, so here are several examples using a PK stamped little boy, a GFS Santa girl digi, and the traditional stamped Santa Hat and Candy Cane from Loralie Designs Art Stamps.  Also with the Cricut one can do paper piecing using a tag and a Sizzix paper doll body and clothes to create a project for a Christmas package.

Again combining the Cricut and the Sizzix Paper Dolls one can design clothes with all kinds of colors for some really unique cards.  This one is my most favorite card - The Perfect Pair.

No matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it.  Hopefully you will see a style of paper piecing that defines your talents.

But wait.......there's more - Candy! Candy! What do you need to do for some sweet blog candy by Nikki?

You need
* to leave a comment on everyone’s blog,
* to follow each blog, and
to "Like" the Paper Piecings by Nikki page (check out the details there as well).

Thanks for stopping by..........Cyberhugs from Mama LoveBug
