Paper Smooches SPARKS - Joy Elf

Hello! It's time for a new challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge! Hard to believe this is my final post for my Design Team term! Can't wait to see who made the new team!!!

This week it is a Cool Shades Challenge:

Here is the color palette - Thanksgiving:

Despite the name of the color story being "Thanksgiving" - I went with a winter/Christmas theme card! I used the fun Enchanted Elves set for my little elf girl, my little sparkle stamp came from Warm Hearts, and my sentiment is from All Yule Need. I used my Spica Glitter pen on part of my elf - hard to see in some of the pictures - but this one shows it a little bit better:

I made a window using Paper Smooches Ovals 1 Dies, and used some Crate Paper pattern paper for my card. Ink is Versamark and Hero Arts, and I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the side of my card - love the lacy effect!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please stop by and see what the rest of the SPARKS team put together:

Unity FWF - Everyday Miracles

Good morning! Can't believe that it is Friday already! But...back to linking up a card for this weeks Unity Friends with Flair - here is what I made this time:
I used the March 2013 KOTM and did the chalkboard technique. The pattern paper is from Crate Paper's 6x6 DIY Shop paper pad, with a bit of distress ink on the edges. I made the card base by punching a strip of cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch, then scored and folded to match up the pattern, then trimmed it to my card base size. Finished off with a doily, and a bit of jute twine with a pretty button from Basic Grey's Lucille collection.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great Friday!!!

SPS Daily Inspiration - Crate Paper Pretties!

Good morning! Today is my day to share some inspiration over on the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog. Today I decided to pull out some product from one of my favorite paper companies - Crate Paper. Here is what I made:
The paper and die cut embellishments came from Crate Paper's Pretty Party collection.
My pattern papers are from the 6x6 paper pad - I layered them up, and used an edge punch on the brown wood grain paper before attaching it behind the gingham strip.
The flowers (aren't they GORGEOUS?) are from the die cut elements sheet, as well as the tiny sentiment. I attached the flowers with foam adhesive, punched a hole in the little sentiment piece, then tied it on with some jute twine, anchoring it in place with a pop-dot.
Finished by rounding a couple of corners, then attached the entire front panel with foam adhesive to the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you are having a beautiful week!

10 Minute Craft Dash - AKA Stress Moments!

Hi there! I have a seriously quick card to share with you today:
Now, I frequently make cards quickly, so when I saw this 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge, I thought, "How hard can it be?" It helped to be able to gather my supplies first, and I had a plan, so I thought it would be no problem. Why then does the timer give such an adrenalin rush? Yikes!
I finished the last bit of my card, and here is where I stopped the timer:
So...the details! I started off with some American Crafts 6x6 papers (no idea which lines they are from!) and punched a lace border with a Martha Stewart Edge Punch, layered and stuck them together, then trimmed and matted in white.
I cut the tag with one of the new Paper Smooches Dies, then stamped the sentiment from a Paper Smooches Set called Giddy Bugs in different PTI ink colors to coordinate. The little smiley face in each of the "e's" came from a set called Hullabaloo.
Mounted the lace border panel on my card base, added some jute twine to the top of the tag, then attached the tag with foam adhesive to my card base.
If you haven't a had a chance to play along - this is a totally fun challenge! I have had fun checking out all the entries! Have a great day!!!

Year Wrap Up #4 - Peachy Keen Love

And...one of my favorite things about 2012 was my term on the Peachy Keen Design Team! So...I have one last card that I made, and since today is the official end of the year - I thought I would post one last card from my Design term year! The new team looks fabulous - and I can't WAIT to see what inspiration they bring us this next year! Anyway - I had been dying to use this sweet little deer, and decided to make a little birthday card with it:
I used two of the most recent monthly kits - the November one for the deer, and the second half of the sentiment:

And the December Kit for the Happy Birthday part of the sentiment:

I stamped the sweet little deer on some PTI Rustic cream cardstock, paper pieced the bow, and added a bit of color with my Copic markers - and used my white gel pen for freckles and some shine on the nose.
I used some pattern paper from Basic Grey's Lucille 6x6 paper pads (one of my current FAVS!), and made a lace border with a Martha Stewart edge punch.
Edges of everything were inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen, and vintage photo for the background darker layer.
I hand trimmed a banner for the sentiment, then stamped the happy birthday, and selectively inked just the "sweet lil' deer" to place underneath.
Used foam adhesive to attach the panel with the deer, as well as the sentiment banner, slightly overlapping.
Finished off with some jute twine, and a heart button from my stash, as well as a bit of bling.
Thanks so much! I think that will be all for today - but I will plan on stopping by tomorrow with one final un-posted card from 2012 - as well as a giveaway to welcome the new year!!!

Good morning! Can you believe that it's that time again for the new Peachy Keen Monthly release?!?!?! I'm super excited - as always! - about this months release. Here is what I made with the new Kit of the Month:
The images in this month's kit are such a fun mix of cute and adorable - and fun and elegant as well! This card is pretty simple, but I love how elegant it looks!
I stamped the flourishes and sentiment with PTI ink, added some bling, and a border using a Martha Stewart edge punch - all matted on Basic Grey paper.
Everything is also inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.
I have several more cards to show you - and will be doing that over the next couple of days - and make sure and check out the details on the release party HERE - they are always so much fun, with lots of challenges, prizes, and chatting - and I think I might actually be able to make it this month to the party!

Glad we're connected - MFT Getting Sketchy #100

If you're are interested in entering my 7 Christmas Giveaways - click HERE to find the links to all of them!

Good Saturday Morning! It' been a while again - but I managed to squeeze in an entry this week to the My Favorite Things Getting Sketchy Challenge! Here is what I made:
And here is this weeks sketch:

I know I say it a lot - but I really am very fond of the MFT sketches! They are so fun and easy to follow along with! I only changed up the sketch a bit - otherwise following along pretty closely. I used one of the Pure Innocence line of stamps, and colored her up with my Copic markers.
The framed piece she is on is cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Die, and I left the die on to in k the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink, and stamped the sentiment on the bottom.
I used a MFT Die-namics Die to cut the strip of dolls on the bottom with pattern paper, and a Martha Stewart punch for the lacy edge ont he bottom.
All my papers are from Basic Grey's Lucille 6x6 paper pad - which I'm in LOVE with!!! I added a bit of jute twine, and also a couple of self adhesive pearls to finish it off.

Hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start! Have a great day!

WCMD - Unity Stamp a Border Challenge

Okay - next up was a totally fun challenge! Stamp a border, using Unity stamps and a non-border stamp! Here is what I came up with:
I stamped that thimble several times to make my border, then stamped the sentiment with Papertrey Ink right over the top.
All the pattern papers are from Lily Bee Designs, and I added another punched border with a Martha Stewart border punch.
I finished off with a little touch of red Baker's Twine - I think that is my favorite color of twine!
I think this is one of my favorite cards for these challenges! So fun to get challenged to try new things, don't you think?

WCMD - Unity Fall Card Challenge

And next up I have my Card for the Unity WCMD Fall Card Challenge:
Isn't my favorite card how it came out - things just didn't work out like I had pictured in my head, but...oh well! I stamped three Unity pumpkins over the top of each other, then colored them a bit with Copics. Couldn't resist adding the little birds in front of them!
All my paper is Basic Grey, and I inked with Tim Holtz distress ink, punched the edge with a Martha Stewart edge punch, added some stick on pearls and a rounded top corner, and finished off with some faux stitching.
All right - there's the fall card! Off for the next one!

MFT Getting Sketchy #74

Good afternoon! I need to go make dinner for my family, but wanted to post this really quickly for this weeks MFT Getting Sketchy Challenge:
Here is this weeks sketch:

I had fun with some of the new My Mind's Eye Indie Chic papers in one of the 6x6 paper pads. Love the colors in it!
Used one of the Pure Innocence stamps, and colored with my Copics. Inked the edges a bit with some Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.
The circle was cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilitie, and the border along the bottom is a Martha Stewart punch.
Tied a bit of twine from Ribbon Carousel around, and added a PTI button.
Finished off by pop-dotting the image from the background.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!
