Here's a brand new trailer for the upcoming sequel/soft-reboot of the long-running Halloween franchise!



This film is looking so good so far, I can't wait! Easily my most awaited horror film of the year! A new Halloween sequel! Who would have thought that!!!?!

And having Carpenter back on the music is a fantastic bonus.

Halloween will be out for this, well, Halloween. On October 19.

John Carpenter is not only one of my all-time favorite film directors. He's also a fantastic musician, not only scoring his films with cult classic memorable movie scores but he even put out a couple of albums these last few years.

Love his music and his work! And he still directs like no other!

#ComicsNEWS Big Trouble In Little China/Escape from New York crossover

I love comic books! It's the only place where you'll find fanboys' dream crossovers. Like, say, Predator Vs. Tarzan. Or Jason Vs. Jason X!

And I can't imagine how this will possibly work, but apparently Kurt Russell's Snake Plissken from the Escape From movies will meet Kurt Russell's good ol' Jack Burton from Big Trouble In Little China - both John Carpenter original classics - in a little crossover miniseries from IDW:

Having both film's main antagonist also return is pure fanservice, considering both were dead at the end of the story, but I can't imagine these two Kurt Russell characters working along nicely... Poor Jack's probably gonna think he's the hero of this crossover while he's actually the villain, the annoying comedic sidekick or something!

I can't wait to see what the writers come up with, I mean this is basically B-movies vs. exploitation films. Or scifi vs. fantasy. Antihero vs. loveable doofus. What is the plot going to be like!?!

TLC - My Top 4 Favorite Film Directors!

I haven't done one of these in a really long while.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about films. And watching a tone of movies too. So while I'm at it - here's a quick list of some of my all-time favorite film directors!

#RIP "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Just as I was currently preparing my review for They Live, this news just hit us all unexpectedly.

The legendary wrestler and lead actor from the classic They Live Roddy Piper just died in his sleep after a heart attack, at the age of 61.

The man was a legend and he will be sorely missed

Director John Carpenter himself has wrote a little word to remember his friend:

I'm devastated by the passing of my friend Roddy Piper. Great wrestler, underrated actor, dear friend. Rest in peace, Rod.

He will always be remember for the greatest and longest fight scene ever filmed in John Carpenter’s They Live:

This brawl will never get old! He also starred in the silly but cult Hell Comes to Frogtown.

RIP Rowdy Roddy.
