#MusicBOX Doris Day - Ain't We Got Fun

Time for some vintage music-

Doris Day always sang great. Easily the best version of this song.

I love this song, still very much relevant over 50 years later.

RR A Pup Named Scooby-Doo

Do you remember a fad back in the late 1980s/early 1990s when every cartoon seemed to revolved around baby versions of famous characters? After the Muppet Babies they kept churning out baby-versions like The Flintstone Kids, Tom & Jerry Kids, Tiny Toon Adventures - heck I'd even count The Rugrats to go after a similar subject.

After Scrappy-Doo ruined all the fun, somehow Hanna-Barbera thought what we really needed was to see Scooby-Doo as a pup.

Scooby-Doo - where are you?! Right here:

#FanMade Edit: "Ant-Man" as '50s Monster Movie

Ant-Man is finally out this week!

With Hank Pym now passing down his legacy as Ant-Man to someone else, I wonder what a 50s-era Ant-Man film would look like.

Well. Wonder no more! Here's a brilliant fanmad edit casting Vincent Price in the role, courtesy from the folks at by New York Magazine:

Brilliant use of old school vintage footage and clever edits!

#OpeningTheme - ZORRO!

A classic!

At least, he didn't go around with face paint instead of a mask an entire first season, ha!

#Marvel NEWS! Marvel's Agent Carter on ABC

Oh, and I almost forgot. Did you see the trailer for the upcoming Marvel/Agents of SHIELD spinoff set in the 1950s?

Actually I'm not a fan of this trailer, but this Agent Carter could be fun. Plus I like the idea of it being a mini-series rather than a stretched out on-going one.

MR Behemoth the Sea Monster

Following the success of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms and the re-release of King Kong on the big screen, a whole "giant monsters" trend would follow suit which the best and most popular iconic representant being the Japanese Godzilla series starting in '54.

But did you know the UK also had a try at its own giant creature inspired by the local culture in the form of Behemoth, the Sea Monster?

MR The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms

Long before the Kaiju/monster film craze of the 1960s, there was the one, the only, the original... Godzilla's very own granddaddy, The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms!!

#MusicBOX - The Chordettes - Lollipop

I've been playing a lot of Lollipop Chainsaw since I got it.

The main story wasn't that long, the game felt like a much more arcade No More Heroes, really.
But with Juliet now more upgraded, and trying to score better results/unlock stuff, I've been still playing the game for a while now. (makes me remember...I should try getting back to Mass Effect 3 to finally finish it...meh!)

Anyway, I got this music stuck in my head for the last couple of days. So here, enjoy!

A very cool song from 1958 no less! (music was the best in the 50s!)

AwesomeMoviesScenes - "We're gonna be Pardners!"

One of all-time favorite classics.
Honestly? I think I saw this over 10 times when I was a kid. Every summer was the occasion to rewatch this classic flick at some point or another.

I always liked Jerry Lewis.
But this scene from Pardners (1956) is easily one of finest and most engraved scenes I have totally memorized and burned onto my brain forever!

"You and me~ "

Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis might not have been the best of pals behind the camera (yes, yes, a well known fact, thank you), but their chemistry on screen was perfect!
