#DCnews Black Adam – Official Trailer 1

The first proper trailer for Black Adam is out and... wow! This looks badass, but the tone is so different I can't imagine this mixing up with Shazam...

Also, I can't wait to see the JSA in a feature film! Awesome! And this Doctor Fate casting was inspired!

#DCnews Stargirl | Official Trailer | The CW

Lately with DC's original shows on their own streaming platform DCU and the Crisis crossover event running on the CW, it feels like live-action DC stuff is firing on all cylinders. And now we got the Stargirl series. Which is part of the DCU slate of streaming shows, airing a day after on the CW. And Stargirl might be standalone, but she got a lil' cameo during the Crisis event (and a previous FlArrow peridot Stargirl appeared in a past episode) So I guess DC did what Marvel couldn't. It's all connected!

Looks... cheesy. But fun. And, hey! Geoff Johns' helming the show and since he created the character...

CBR Dr Mid-Nite

I've always been a big fan of the underrated-type of characters. They often make for the most brilliant little stories everyone appears to ignore.

Since I haven't reviewed a DC Comics title in a while, here one right up my alley!

ComicPageOfTheWeekend: Power Girl, what--?

I mean, really. What--?

If that rassure you. It's from that "other" time the whole JSA got brainwashed, or something~

Here's an absolute must read - and yeah, I'm already telling it right away from the start.

One of the most original and interesting reads DC produced in these last couple of decades.

ComicPanelsOfTheWeek: Countdown to Irwin Schwab

So I've been reading lots of "Elseworlds" DC Comics.
And by lots I mean tons of 'em.
And by tons I mean in the 30s of them, no doubt.

And who do I find amongst the alternate realities-characters while reading the latest story I had under the hand today?

(Click for bigger pic)

That's right! Amongst the dozen or so characters they tend to always use (Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, GL, Flash, etc..) and the ones the authors on this story played with for a change (Big Barda, Jade, Dr. Mid-nite,etc.) - Tom Simmons, Matt Haley and Barbara Kesel did an Elseworld-Ambush Bug!!!

How very random, unusual and odd choice....but I loved it!
Glad to see Irwin making it into one of these comics for a change!

Even his design's epic!
Random, silly and "out of character for him", but epic as well!

'thought it would be worth to report this lil' tidbit on the blog.
