CBR Evangelion The Iron Maiden 2nd

Since I made my original Evangelion review pretty huge and detailed, I'll try to do much simpler shorter reviews for these spinoff series. Specially considering they're actually the complete opposite of the original cult Gainax series!

#Drawings - 2015 recap!

Happy New Year, everyone!

With another year, also comes another "Summary of Art" Meme entry!
This year's template can be found over here: 2015 Art Summary Meme Blank

As usual I tried to cover as many projects and different styles of work I did this year.

Here's the source of my drawings used above:
January: With one of my robot designs making it into the upcoming Keiji Inafune video game Mighty no 9, I had to celebrate it by drawing the final design Mighty No 9 Battle Colosseum - LandCrusher 02
February: In tribute to the newly released LSL1 remake from 2014 I decided to start drawing a few of the girls from the series LSLGals Dewmi Moore
March: Hawkeye might be underused in the movies, but his series was one of my favorite comics from any big US publisher these last few years Hawkguy 02
April: I kept making a lot of comics this year. Last case in point is my fairly new series Locust Valley COMIX Locust Valley Page 12
May: This May I celebrate my Abby comic strip series with an "#AbbyMayAThon" and several other tributes fav.me/d8t16o9
June: Following the same idea, I decide to resurrect RubberMan with a #RubberManJuneAPalooza and a new chapter COMIX RubberMan II Cover Episode 1
July: Summer saw a series of #SummerGothGal  #SummerGothGal - Hildy Gloom
August: While I already loved Steven Universe, this year saw me totally fall in love with the design of Peridot Steven Universe - Peridot 13
September: With the announcement of a new Ghostbusters film I started coming up with my own cast for the film - if I had been the one in charge that is Eyz Ghostbusters fancast #02 Christina Ricci
October: Amongst all the Halloween-themed pics I did, my blog saw ongoing Horror-marathon themed reviews Transylvania 6-5000
November: The NaNoMangO challenge saw a new character take life in my drawings OriginalCharacterJam 2015 11 Miss Z
December: Finally, Jingle Belle as usual. This year I did Xmas Commissions instead of my usual ideas, but I had to keep her for last as per tradition Jingle Belle 11

MR:Quickies The End of Evangelion

I really wanted my last review of the year to be a "2015 Special Review".

After a questionable resolution for the show, here's the pair of movies that would answer all our questions.. while confusing the audience even more!

Fly me to the moon, and let me review Evangelion among different mediums:

2016 is almost here. I had to at the very least tackle one more 2015 Special Review before TIME RUNS OUT!

#BestOf Evangelion Congratulations!

This is appropriate to mark the end of 2015, and the Evangelion reviews I had been planning to finally cover this year.

Congrats Shinji, you whiny annoying brat, you!

#Netflix NEWS! A Very Murray Christmas

Here's something random, Bill Murray will apparently have his very own special on Netflix this December, with Lost in Translation director Sophia Coppola:

O..kay. Not sure what else I expected, but it certainly wasn't that far from this.

#FanMade - Back to the Future 2015 version

Someone decided to edit Back to the Future's 2015 to actually reflect more of our own real 2015.

Check it out:

It's super short, but it's fun!

Haha! Although I would probably have used some of the other old 80s franchises still running with a lot more entries than Jurassic Park's 4 films. Why not even Star Wars Episode 7??

#GREATSCOTT Marty!!!

Michael J. Fox tried some actual 2015 self-lacing Nike shoes for his Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research:

The future is truly here!

Fox and Christopher Lloyd certainly believe so!

And here they are with the always lovely Lea Thompson on the Today Show for an interview:

I see Lea Thompson's still gorgeous as ever.

Still, no hoverboards and flying cars... dammit! We truly live in the darkest timeline!!

#Sketch - Back To The Future In ACTUAL 2015

Here's a funny random little animated sketch parodying Back to the Future's 2015 with our own, from the crew at CollegeHumor:

Sigh. Our 2015's turning out to be so disappointing to the fusion-powered hoverboards-filled flying cars-driven 2015 from BTTF...

On a related note, here's the real Doc and Marty selling out for Toyota:

#BTTF - The Back to the Future Trilogy in 90 Seconds

You know what day it is? It's October 21, 2015!

And that means you can take the occasion to revisit my Back to the Future reviews:

In the meantime here's a fun video summary by the crew at io9:

Enjoy!

#NYCC News! GAMERA 2015

Here's the best news to ever come out of this year's New York Comic-Con for me:

Gamera, one of my all-time favorite classic kaijus, is apparently getting a new movie! In the form of another reboot! Yes, part of me would have preferred another entry in the "heisei" series from the 1990s or a follow-up to the only "millenium" Gamera entry... but I can understand the choice, we're in an era of constant reboots after all.

At least it's not an awfully generic American remake, right?

There's no release date for the moment, but Daiei Studios at least confirmed director Katsuhito Ishii and screened the following teaser trailer at the NYCC:

One word: BADASS!! I kinda miss the ol' costumes, but the CGi looks pretty good here.

The plan is to have the film on time for Gamera's 50th anniversary, simply titled GAMERA and it will feature Gamera, Gyaos, and a new monster!!

Can't wait to hear more from this project!

RR Neon Genesis Evangelion (anime)

The year is 2015. The place: Tokyo-3.

We take a break from our Halloween Marathon for the occasion. It all began exactly 20 years ago, on October 4.

Here's a great cult classic series that got so complicated, even the people making it had no idea what it was really talking about anymore...

VGR Back to the Future: The Game

Back to the Future is already 30 years old. Can you believe it?

BTTF's future did predict a lot of wild stuff. If there's one thing the series foretold is how much 2015 would rely on 80s nostalgia, use the 3D gimmick and produce countless sequels. (Seriously though, this year did saw the release of a new Jurassic Park, the return of Mad Max and soon more Star Wars!!)

Great Scott!! It's 2015! Let's party like it's 1985, with a 2015-special review of a game based on a 1985 movie! Are you still following me here? This is about to get heavy...

Gotta get back in time? Check these previous reviews below!
