Saudi Arabia's influence is not going away in the short term (and the demise of oil and petroleum as a fuel source is probably not happening for a long time). Interesting how the Saudis and Israel are still working on a peace deal (which was pushed by the Trump Administration).

I can understand the Chinese claiming the Paracel Island group (even if Vietnam also has a legitimate claim) but the Spratly Islands?  How is that Chinese territory?  But don't tell the Chinese that, they want them and are probably willing to go to war over them.  Will the U.S. offer any resistance?  And if not there, what is going to happen to Taiwan?  Given the weak response in Ukraine of Obama and Hagel, the Chinese must know that the U.S. is not going to do anything.  The Chinese are ready to take on Japan north of Taiwan too.

This is very dangerous because it could quickly escalate out of control.  

The Philippines screwed up by ejecting the U.S. bases, because the Chinese are moving in…

Sochi Olympic Hockey Semi Finals Update: Final: Canada wins 1:0 over USA. We have to keep Bieber--the agony of defeat! USA to play Finland for Bronze. Canada to play Sweden for gold.

The Canada-USA game is on Friday, February 21 at 12:00 p.m. ET; 11:00 a.m. CT; 9:00 a.m. PT

The Sweden-Finland game is of less interest to North Americans but is big for them.  Update: Sweden wins and will face winner of Canada USA game.
