FBI Director Christopher Wray off to find new grifting opportunities...

 

Christopher Wray has been a poser going back to the Bush Administration (just in case you think this is just about Trump). He never should have gotten this gig, but fat Chris Christie talked Trump into it (when the GOPe and Democrats freaked out over Trump firing Comey).

Fortunately Trump has picked Kash Patel to run the FBI. Wray is quitting and that is good news. Like typical D.C. Swamp Creatures, Wray is off to grift as dirty grifters are apt to do.  Wray is also trying to leave some nasty surprises for Trump and Patel.

Mark Zuckerberg's Failed Donation To Newark Public Schools

Business Insider: Mark Zuckerberg's $100 million dollar donation to Newark Public Schools failed miserably, here's why

Money going in is not the problem in Newark, NJ public schools. Newark spends about $23,000 per student in Newark. Do you think those public schools deliver anywhere near $23,000 in value to those students?

Zuckerberg's donation got sucked up in the vortex of Teacher Union entitlements and protections, consultants and what appears to be an intentional scuttling of charter schools (which could have helped make a difference).

So in the end, a sizable donation ends up making things worse, not better.  Throwing money at the problem is not the way to fix it.

I wish Zuckerberg endowed some primary, secondary, and high schools in Newark. That might have made a huge difference (at least for the kids who got to go there). It would also highlight the problem with Newark schools is not the kids, but the administration and corruption of the district.

So why would Kasich drop out after that statement yesterday?  Obviously because Cruz dropped out. Apparently Kasich thinks he still has a shot on being Trump's Veep or something.  Myra Adams now thinks that is increasingly unlikely (she thinks Gingrich is on the short list). I am not sure what else explains this whole Kasich campaign other than his insufferable vanity.

Sorry John, while you might help a bit in Ohio, we have Newt and Christie fighting over Donald Trump's affection like two Bangkok bar girls fighting over a drunk sailor with a wad of cash. I am not sure you want to get in that scrum. Then again, knowing your style, you might actually enjoy that.

All the signs are there. Kasich must be thinking he wants to be Trump's favorite. He has no chance on his own and Christie, while he would take vice president, is probably wanting the Attorney General spot. Kasich has the potential to deliver Ohio to Trump. Of course it must be a wee bit disconcerting to Kasich that Trump is leading him in Ohio. When you have Kasich predicting Trump is going to run the table on Super Tuesday, something seems to be up. Kasich is signaling he will put out for The Donald if he gets picked to go to the prom with him.

These Establishment Republicans love to suck up. I find Christie and Kasich especially annoying. While I have my profound doubts about Donald Trump, it is those two who give me a lot of pause in this race. I can't stand either one of them. Although they are not as bad as Lindsay Graham, who is a scheming palace eunuch of the worse sort.

If you are a big Trump supporter and really think he is the best choice out there, fair enough.  I disagree (Ace gives an excellent reason here and there will be an onslaught), but at least you are sincere about it. But the cynical nature of these tools who trashed Trump until they decided it was in their best interest to support him are what I find revealing.
