Eric Holder Reponds His Failure To Vet Tim Walz

Jack Posobiec gets Eric Holder to respond! Sort of reminds me of this exchange below:

Robert Mueller is conflicted and his investigation corrupt...

My rage is rising and I don't think I am the only one out there. I do not care if you dislike Donald Trump, what is going on is nothing less than a slow motion coup.  That Robert Mueller is not recusing himself from this witch hunt from this shows just how corruption the system is. The latest leaking and manipulation from Team Mueller is right from the Jim Comey playbook.

We have Republicans being shot down by the left and the establishment working to take out the President. Forget about some play in Central Park, Julius Caesar is paying out in real life right in front of us.

Separated by Perception: Michael Brown and the Media's Bias. Updated with good advice from Robert Stacy McCain

I still do not know what happened when Michael Brown was shot. I know the original statements that he was shot in the back turned out to be not true.

The suggestion he surrendered and was shot seem incredible, and that is not disproved by the evidence (at least as far as I can tell). But this evidence is also consistent with the claim that Brown was moving toward Officer Wilson when he opened fire. The issue remains did Michael Brown threaten Officer Wilson in a manner that justified the use of deadly force.

Why Michael Brown's violent behavior just minutes before his shooting would not be relevant is beyond me.  People seem very interested in Darren Wilson's history with the Ferguson Police Department. But to Governor Jay Nixon, the NAACP, and the rioters, what Michael Brown did just minutes before the shooting is irrelevant. It is perfectly okay, however, for the Black Panthers to call for Officer Wilson's death. Events are moving quickly while the truth lags behind. There was an initial rush to judgment in the Tony Stewart-Kevin Ward matter, but the media rarely engages in any self-reflection.

The Ferguson Chief said that the initial contact between Wilson and Brown was not related to the store robbery, but that Wilson made the connection when he saw the cigars in Brown's hands.

I wish there was some balance here in the reporting. I agree with Mark Steyn that police should be taping their encounters with citizens as a matter of course.  I am troubled by the over militarization of police forces in general and the impact to our civil liberties.  While Jazz Shaw makes the case we can't go back to those halcyon days of Andy Taylor taking Barney Frank's bullet (as if they ever really existed), the truth is good policing starts with good community relations.

I want to find out what actually happened with this shooting and I am concerned that is not going to happen in this case. If Officer Wilson did something wrong he should be dealt with appropriately. I am hopeful that Darren Wilson gets a fair review, but how this is playing out is troublesome.

Should this give us a sense of relief? Eric Holder is on the way to Ferguson.

Update:
AP Style Book says 18 years olds should be referred to as "man" or "adult" and not a teenager. So why is the media repeatedly calling him a teenager?
Obama to pontificate about Ferguson
Poll: 57% of blacks think Wilson is guilty of murder, Whites and other Minorities mostly undecided (waiting to see what evidence there is). Polls of this type are going to be erratic, especially given emotions are high right now. I look at this as more of the glass being half full (or 43% full if you are referencing African Americans). But when 80% of Blacks think the justice system is unfair to them, there is a serious problem.

It is getting harder to have a serious dialog on this topic

Prosecutorial Discretion: One of these three is not like the other...

Menendez
Corzine
D'Souza

Are politics behind the Obama Administration selective enforcement of laws?
Funny how certain people never get prosecuted. Why is that?

Bob Menendez is accused of getting support and access to under aged Dominican prostitutes and then pushing legislation for that same donor.

Dinesh D'Souza is accused of funneling $20,000 to a college friend to help her underfunded campaign (which she lost badly).  Of the three, D'Souza's alleged crimes are by far the least serious (and truly victim-less), yet the Obama Administration is going after him for felonies and jail time.

Jon Corzine lost hundreds of millions for investors and then likely perjured himself in testifying about the causes of that loss.  Corzine was also an Obama campaign bundler in the 2012 election.

Eric Holder
So why are Barack Obama and Eric Holder favoring Menendez and Corzine, but going hammer and tongs against D'Souza?

President Obama and Eric Holder's Department of Justice go after Dinesh D'Souza?

The Obama Administration apparently did not forget about Dinesh D'Souza and his film.  Well there is more than one way to block the follow on film.
Nothing suspicious here:  Funny how the Obama and Holder's Department of Justice focuses on Critics of Obama...
D’SOUZA, 52, of San Diego, California, is charged with one count of causing $20,000 in illegal campaign contributions to be made to a candidate for the United States Senate in calendar year 2012, which carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison. He also is charged with one count of causing false statements to be made to the FEC in connection with the illegal campaign contributions, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
The Indictment is the result of a routine review* by the FBI of campaign filings with the FEC by various candidates after the 2012 election for United States Senator in New York. Mr. Bharara praised the investigative work of the FBI.
This case is being prosecuted by the Office’s Public Corruption Unit. Assistant United States Attorneys Carrie H. Cohen and Rebecca Ricigliano are in charge of the prosecution.
The charges contained in the Indictment are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty
*emphasis added

If D'Souza had done this for the Obama Administration, he would be serving as an U.S. Ambassador at a country of his choice.

The alleged contributions may have been to D'Souza's Dartmouth classmate Wendy Long:
The indictment did not name the Senate candidate in the case. But it appears to be Wendy Long (R), who lost overwhelmingly in 2012 to incumbent Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a Democrat. Long raised less than $1 million for her long-shot campaign.
D'Souza was right about the direction the county would take if Barack Obama was re-elected:
“In America, we have a long tradition of not doing what is commonly done in too many other countries — criminalizing dissent through the selective enforcement of the law,” he said.
Well it was good while it lasted.

As Professor Glenn Reynolds notes, it is easy to for those in power to abuse the system when practically anything is a crime.  Of course the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York is an Obama Appointee.  Below is one of the Assistant U.S. Attorneys who is assigned as the prosecutor of Dinesh D'Souza:

Assistant U.S. Attorney Carrie H. Cohen
Ms. Cohen was previously appointed by Attorney General Eliot Spitzer as Chief of the Public Integrity Unit in the Criminal Division of the Attorney General's Office.  Well that is a relief!  If Eliot Spitzer likes her what could go wrong?

Update:
$500,000 Bail?  Sweet cherry tomatoes, is that excessive or what?
