Newt Gingrich: Tan, Rested, Ready? 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

If only the Senate GOP could have blocked Mitch McConnell from leadership. Kevin McCarthy may be a pretty vanilla congress critter (at best) and a fellow swamp dweller (as many in the GOP are), but we better be careful not to end up with a Democrat taking Speaker of the House.

#MAGA Voters: Please Make Frank Luntz A Cinnabon Crewmember 🙏🍥

Voters, Frank Luntz needs needs a time out. Make it happen: Vote for Trump-Pence and the GOP Candidates in your state. Nothing is guaranteed. President Trump fought for your vote. He deserves another four years. Biden would be a disaster as President. President Harris is one dementia diagonis away from the Oval Office. Chuck Schumer cannot be allowed to be Senate Majority Leader.

I also bet Frank Luntz will be pretty good making cinnamon rolls.

Is this why they are retiring the elephant show?

Instapundit/Ed Driscoll: Why the Trump focus on Fox News?

Ace does not see the upside for Trump, although the benefits for Fox will be enormous.

Mark Steyn: So what is the Republican Party for anyway?
AoSHQ: Frank Luntz suffers from acute Coulrophobia...then again Frank don't look in a mirror!

Megyn Kelly looks adorable when she is indignant Rule 5 Post GOP Debate

Donald Trump dominated the Drudge Report post debate poll,
it may be a reader poll, but there are a lot of Drudge readers

I agree with William Jacobson, some of the questioning (especially Megan's) was inappropriate. I thought Trump could have turned that question about women around by telling Megyn how Trump businesses are a meritocracy where women are always treated equally (Trump has a number of women in high power positions in his organization and his daughter's management is interesting too).   But Trump is right about political correctness.

Rush Limbaugh's pre debate predictions were spot on: Psych Ops against Trump and Teachable Moment via Jeb, misjudging Trump, Trumpsters fired up, and no coincidences with the Trump Clinton call

At bit presumptuous (and probably wishful thinking by Pfeiffer about Jeb being the nominee) but I can't disagree this Pfeiffer comment:
“Jeb may be the nominee, but he is one of the most boring and least compelling politicians I have seen. Hard to see him firing up the base,” tweeted Dan Pfeiffer, President Obama’s former adviser.

Michael Barone: Best. Debate. Ever.

I am not sure it was the best ever, but Barone makes some good observations.

I did not (however) drunk blog the debate and neither did Vodka Pundit!

She is getting mad!

Update: Was FoxNews out for Trump's toupee? This whole twitter war thing is sort of amusing (if you step back from it a bit). It is pretty obvious how to get a reaction out of Trump. Instapundit/Elizabeth Price Foley: Some of FoxNews' questions did seem more about the moderators and less about fairly engaging the candidates

What is the matter with Rick Santorum?

No eye contact?
In the debates, when Santorum is sticking it to somebody—and he’s usually done his homework—he doesn’t look them in the eye. I want a President who will level his gaze at his opponents when he stabs them...
I know that some of you are going to say that this reaction to Santorum’s posture in the debates is far overblown, and not far from David Brooks’ hanging an entire epistemology on the perdurable unfalsifiability of trouser creases, but this matter of orientation and proxemics gives me a gut reaction that I don’t like. It’s almost as though Santorum is squeamish about telling the unpleasant truth about his rivals. And that may make him a kinder and more shamefast person, but it is worrisome in a candidate.
Collins gets a negative gut reaction to Rick Santorum?  Well as Frank Luntz notes, politics is gut.  Frank Luntz goes on to state:  "80 percent of our life is emotion, and only 20 percent is intellect. I am much more interested in how you feel than how you think. I can change how you think, but how you feel is something deeper and stronger, and it's something that's inside you. How you think is on the outside, how you feel is on the inside, so that's what I need to understand."
Update:  Santorum battling for third place with Ron Paul in South Carolina...
Update:  No one home at Santorum Sanctum?

Update II:   Here is Piers Morgan showing again why he is a hack journalist.  Now Rick Santorum's answer is a good pro life answer--but maybe Rick should have thrown that one back at Piers a bit and challenged him what his motivation was in asking the question in the first place?  Rick (and probably Piers) must know that this question brings up something that is in fact exceedingly rare--why not point that out too?  And even when he is facing Piers, face to face, Rick does not maintain eye contact.  I think it is more of a personal habit than anything else--but it does lessen his public speaking effectiveness.
