4 Snow Globe Shaker Christmas Cards

The snow globe die cuts were cards that I cut apart. They came to me in the stash of the older woman that I was lucky enough to receive her Christmas card making supplies after she had to go to a nursing home.

The background of this card was made with distress ink and water and maybe some kind of spray/spritz. I dry embossed the red part with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and in an effort to make it look brown I continued to add distress oxide to it. Meh. The sentiment stamp is by Inkadinkado.

For this card, my background paper is by Carte Bella.  The sentiment is by Inkadinkado. The scene is made up of stamps from Stampendous.

For this card, my background paper is by.  The sentiment is by Inkadinkado. I love that name. The scene inside is made up of stamps by Stampendous.

The background of this card was made with a stencil by The Crafter’s Workshop, distress ink, and Glimmer Mist spray by Tattered Angels. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. The scene is made of stamps by Lawn Fawn that were colored in with Copic markers. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Debossed background card

The background is made with Tim Holtz kraft core cardstock combined with a dry embossing folder by Darice. Then I used some Copic markers of the same shade.
I had intended for the raised embossing to be on the kraft side of the cardstock but I wasn’t mindful of which way was up on the embossing folder .
I then decided to cut out a cover plate die cut by Simply Defined from Scrapbooking Made Simple out of Papertrey Ink polka dot patterned paper. After I adhered it to my embossed background I colored in the die cut leaves and it didn’t work. I tried different colors and
nothing seemed to look right.
So to take away from the leaves that I didn’t like, I used a Copic marker over the raised embossed areas. It’s okay.
Thanks for stopping by. HAGD!

Manly Monday Graduation paper clip Card

The patterned paper is by Karen Foster and the gold cardstock is by Sizzix. The embossing folder is by Darice. So what I did with this card was I put both the patterned paper and white cardstock into the embossing folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug. This way I wouldn’t have to try and line them up together. The white gel pen by Sakura. the golden paper clip is unknown.

I don’t like top-folding cards. I’ve handed out a lot of Christmas cards to the elderly and when they were given a card they would try to open it as a side-folded card.

The other thing that I dislike with top folding cards is they don’t seem to stand upright, no matter what the thickness is of the cardstock. When you try to display them I find they do the splits.

So I put the paper clip in that spot so that they had to take it off and then they would lift it up. I made this card for the Craft Roulettee show on Friday nights.

The parameters were:

Project: A window, mine is the frame.

Colors: Bird colors, red, yellow, blue in the patterned paper.

Element: On the pond, the ripples around the word water ripples.

Random:Paper clip

Thanks for looking.

UPDATE:

I changed it.

Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Red Retirement Card

I used the draw and cut function on my Cricut. The background was dry embossed with a Provo Craft/Cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I inked it like a crazy person with distress ink. Idk what my deal was. I was an inking idiot. LoL! Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Floral Friday Easter Bible Card

I found this colored-in image in the drawer and it needed to get on a card. It's painted with powdered chalk and paint. This next picture shows how the paint shines.

The other supplies are as followed. The background paper has been dry embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder and the ovals were cut out with Creative Memories Cutting System.

The lace in the center is fake and by that I mean it's self-adhesive from Michael's. Thanks for looking. Happy Good Friday to you all.

Floral Fridy Spanner Christmas card

I love CRAFT ROULETTE because it teaches me to go outside my comfort zone. This week the wheel stopped on a fun fold card called a Spanner card. It has three folds for the recipient to open. This is what the card looks like when you take it out of the envelope. Pretty.

P.S. CRAFT ROULETTE Airs on YouTube every Friday night at 7:10 EST. Here are the details in case you’re interested in checking it out.

So the border on the bottom is made up of a horizontal strip of Sizzix opulent paper. Layered on top of it is a border from an old paper pack by Die Cuts with a View. The doily in the center is by Stampin Up. It’s hard to see but I adhered tiny red flowers behind the green flower that form a wreath on top of the doily. All flowers are by Prima.

Next, you open the card and you see an embossing folder by Darice and the wreath on top by Jolee’s. It was placed on the back of the white tag to cover it up.

On the last page/ panel, I added red opulent paper on both sides. When I did that I accidentally bent the paper so I added a sticker by EK Success to cover it up.
I put a vertical border strip by Die Cuts with a View on the left of the white cardstock and finished with a sentiment by Stampendous.

. I’d never heard of a spanner card so I went to Split Coast Stampers for a tutorial. Tada!
(So I’m noticing that these links give you a “redirect notice”. Tell me if you get that too.)
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Floral Friday Autumn like colored cards

Background patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket. The patterned paper used in the Sizzix die cuts is by Papertrey Ink. The brown paper is a scrap and the gold letters, no clue.

The second card has green opulent paper by Sizzix on the bottom half. The center cardstock is a dry embossed border by Cuttlebug. I don’t use those nearly enough but I should because when I do, I really like the way they look. The tag is an upcycled item from my stash. The sentiment is by Just Rite. I wish I could remember how I got the ombré color on the sentiment. It is looks great.

The above card started out as a birthday card but the sentiment was hard to read. (See below)

You can see why I changed it.
Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Blues and Greens Christmas card

The background paper is by Stampin Up. I dry embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder by Cuttlebug. Then I lightly inked the raised area with distress ink. The plaid background stamp is by Just Rite stamps. I inked it with a bunch of different ink colors because I was testing the ink pads on a mint colored cardstock and ended up liking it. I inked the edges before taping it down.
The tree stamp is by Cloud Nine. I stamped and colored it in with Peerless Watercolors. After that, it was off to the die cut using a Spellbinders die. I inked blue to look like the sky and then Stickles to look like snow.

Thanks for looking

Floral Friday Christmas Cricut Slimline card

Slimline cards are a challenge for me. I feel like there’s so much wasted space yet if you fill it up, it’s just too much.

The background patterned paper is by Bo Bunny.  The poinsettia is a Cricut die cut (Image set called Christmas Noel).

I dry embossed one of the layers of the poinsettia with a Cuttlebug embossing folder before adding Stickles to the petals.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts; I heat embossed it in gold and then colored in the frame with a mixture of paint and chalk. The ric rack is from my mother-in-law‘s stash.

Thanks for looking.

Mini Happy Holidays Card for Mom

This card base is an upcycled thank you card from my Mom’s funeral memorial. It sounds morbid but my Mom would have liked that I was using them. The size is smaller 3.5 x 5 and it has dry embossing around the edges that I lightly inked with distress ink. To explain this card I’m going to start with closest layer to the card, which is a Creative Memories journal card. On top of that is blue cardstock followed by a card from a Craft Smith paper pad. I didn’t like the sentiment so I covered it up with a stamped sentiment. I’m happy with how it turned out. I have a few cards using similar products that I have to watermark. Thanks so much for taking a look at my blog.

Floral Friday Dimensional Cricut flower

Like the title says the flower is a Cricut die cut. The sentiment is a die cut by Simply Defined (That’s a guess) I put the card panel on the card base upside down. Ugh! The card base is smaller, 3x5 and has texture with a dry embossed rectangle 1/4” around the edges. I really need to use up the handful of these flowers that I have. It looks so pretty on a card but the sentiment doesn’t match. Better luck next time. Thanks for looking.

Hearts on a String Card

This is an upcycled image from grandma’s house. I think there was a distant cousin that made cards and grandma kept all of the cards she received. Awww. The stamped image has been black heat embossed and colored in with markers. Then the red background was dry embossed with a Spellbinders double embossing folder.

Thanks for looking.

There was some yuck on one of the corners so I added the corner tabs to each of them by using a square punch out the red cardstock and then cut it in half. That will give you the same sized triangles for each corner.

The only explanation why my corners are all different sizes is I was using a small and limited piece of paper and my square punch sizes were different. So I was cutting them in half at different points.

Manly Monday graduation cards

Details/Products: The stars tape is by Scotch, the black cardstock from Scrapbook Made Simple, and the cap and diploma are puffy stickers by Paper House Productions. The sentiment is cut out with my Cricut and adhered to vellum. I adhered the vellum to a blue cardstock, which made the vellum look blue. I popped up the sentiment with white foam squares. The two corners were rounded with a CM corner rounder.

Details on my second card: Dry embossing folder by Darice. I inked it with distress ink. I adhered the sentiment to colored vellum that didn't match the school colors. So I colored the back of the vellum with a blue Copic marker before running it through my sticker maker by Xyron. The graduation cap is a sticker by Jolee's Boutique by EK Success. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Owl-Who Me?

The owl is from patterned paper. I used a Spellbinders die to cut him out and then the next size up cut it out of a wallpaper sample. The sentiment is stamped with alphabet letters from SNP (no longer in business). The die cut was cut it half and so I placed a Creative Memories sticker over the seam. The brown background paper is dry embossed with a wood pattern embossing folder by Darice. The strips of paper are scraps from my stash. Thank you for stopping by.

Peace Christmas dry and heat embossed card

The background is vellum that was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then painted with white sparkle paint. The die cut in the back is made out of silver card stock.
