Pink and Red snowman Christmas card

Hi. For my card today I used, Best Creations patterned papers, three different dies, two coloring mediums, and one sentiment stamp. So the dies are by Gina Marie in red, a Spellbinders die for my image, and an unknown die in black, The Spellbinders paper was inked with distress ink before I removed it from the die. The snowman is by Deep Red Stamps. I black heat embossed it and colored it in with powdered chalk mixed with paint and watercolor pencils by Stampin Up. I was able to smooth out the pencil lines with a water pen. The warm wishes sentiment is a stamp by Hero Arts.
I'm entering the
Simon Says Stamp Anything goes challenge
I started doing this challenge more regularly about a month ago. I don't always make the card before the challenge ends. but that's okay because I use challenges as a way to spark my creativity or make me use supplies that I have. Last week's challenge was "not a card". I would have liked to use the challenge to get going on my calendars but Christmas cards took precedents. I will say that one of the recent challenges was to use foil and I finally pulled out the foil that had been in my stash for over a year. I'm not doing the challenges for the $25 prize because if I was I would get it done and linked up before the challenge expired.
I started thinking about how if I won the gift card that I would love to gift it to someone that doesn't have a lot of supplies and/or money to buy supplies. I have plenty of stuff but not everyone does.
So, I've decided that that's my new goal, Do the challenge, blog about it and link up before the challenge expires. Wish me luck and thanks for looking.

The Value of an idea Card

This sentiment is a great lead-in to a belated birthday card. The idea is to send the card on time.
I find it funny that recently I used ribbon on a card and now ribbon has been on a bunch of my cards.
The centerpiece of the card is an ATC that I give credit to in the picture below.
I stamped the background with Close to My Heart stamps. The ribbon is by Offray and the dots are by Gina Marie.

Below is the ATC designer.

Real quick I want to tell you about this card since today marks 20 years since 911.

The die-cuts: scappled circles in red by Spellbinders and the inside white one is by Gina Marie, It was a quit out of an upcoming card. (Oops. I keep falling asleep.)

The ribbon in the center is the front of a pin. I had hubby get rid of the backing and I adhered it to the die-cut.

Online Card Class Inlay Die Cutting technique -Christmas Quilt square cards

The Online Card class Day 2 Inlay Die Cutting technique. I've wanted to use this large die for a while and this was the perfect opportunity.

This is the card I made with the bottom right square.
The sentiment is a stencil with embossed paste. And then the border is by Creative Memories.

I had some scraps of the tree paper that I put on card bases to get them out of the way.
As I was going outside to take pictures and I thought, maybe these backgrounds would work with the quilt square.

They did look nice.

But now to choose. Or go into the stacks and tote of Christmas paper and maybe find the same paper. I can't help but think of the mess I would make. I'm going to hold off for now.

I had this square already cut out. The patterned paper is Houndstooth. I filled in the rest with scraps. Then I found these adhesive squares to place around the outside squares. They are by Recollections.

This is the card I made with the brown square.

Floral Friday Clearly Besotted in Peach Just for you Cards

The layered flowers use the stamp set Nouveau Flowers (circa 2015) from Clearly Besotted and I cut them out with their matching dies. I used all different inks to give the flowers some dimension and interest.
The little squiggly stamps on each card are unknown. Unfortunately, with all of my recent "Hauls", I prefer the term "Deals", I think that saying a product is unknown is going to become common in my posts.

The sentiment stamp is unknown. (It was one of my deals) The rectangle die-cuts by Gina Marie Gina Marie is from where I live in Sparta, MI. My husband taught her and her sister in high school. She had a store 5 miles from my house that was getting more sales online and decided to close up her shop in 2017. She has a great selection of dies at cheaper prices than most others in the cardmaking world. The only patterned paper that I know for sure is the background paper by Papertrey Ink.  I never thought I would use it (too busy). In fact, I often use the back of it for the white paper.

3 Rose Heart cards

I have three cards today. I used the same heart stamp in all of these cards and used the same color combo of different distress markers to color on the back of the stamp before I  huffed on it and stamped it onto white cardstock. The lighter-colored hearts are second-generation stamping. If you’re not familiar with the term second-generation stamping, let me explain. Like I said above, I colored the image with distress markers, huffed on the stamp, and stamped it onto a piece of white cardstock. Well instead of just doing the same steps again, I huffed on the rubber of the stamp and stamped it onto a different piece of paper. Because of the special properties of distress ink, the huff from my breath adds water to the ink on the stamp, reactivates the ink allowing it to make another impression. The image is lighter but still looks nice. So for my first card, I felt as though the card just needed something to make it not so blah to me. If you don't know, I was stuck upstairs for a while with limited supplies. My craft room is in the basement so my hubby helped me down the stairs to get supplies making this card a little bit better.

Drum roll, please
Tada!
I inked the edges of all of the papers and the card base with distress ink.
I created the background paper with a stencil by Gina Marie and a glimmer mist spray. I stamped the Lawn Fawn word “Sending” in black ink so that it would draw your eyes to it. I added a really old Colorbok oval sentiment sticker below, which completed the sentiment on the front card.
I really like the changes.

My second card has a small supply list except the background patterned paper is by K and Co.
The patterned paper strip at the bottom is by Making Memories.
I used a Fiskars border punch on the MM paper. (You can barely see it)

For the third card, I used scraps of cardstock and patterned paper Provo Craft. The heart stamps in this card are the first generation stamping and the renovated card was the second generation.

All three together.

Below are links to my other cards with this stamp.

Manly Monday Jaxon heat embossed background card

Here is an old card that I've wanted to post for some time now but at times my photos get lost in my computer files and then magically make themselves present and ready for the show.

I made this card for a student that had a baby to go with the gift.
I white heat embossed the Hero Arts background stamp and then used multiple colors of distress ink and a water brush to make each row and the different color blue.

The letter stamps are by Gina Marie.
I heat embossed them with blue embossing powder.

Dan and Gabe Christmas card 2020

I have another Gabe scrapbook layout for today. It is a before and after layout.
I used jute by Tim Holtz. I  wrapped it around the corners of the 2020 paper. I then used foam adhesive behind that piece.

The 2020 are Quickutz dies
The green foliage on the second layout, is a die-cut by Gina Marie

The tree patterned paper is by Craft Smith. The center stripes paper is a Bazzill 6x6 and then the reddish background paper is unknown. It’s old.

I decided to add his age to the Christmas card layouts.
Stamped letters in the circle is by Lawn Fawn.

Blue and green flower with die cuts Card

I’ve been a card making machine and I have been busting out some layouts.

The stamp and matching die are by Sizzix

The brads are by Making Memories and Basic Grey
The flower brads are inside a glittery flower sticker.

The die-cuts are by Spellbinders

The background paper is white cardstock that I sprayed with glimmer mist over  a Gina Marie stencil. I cut it down to the size of my card front and then inked the edges with distress ink.

Here are some examples where I used the same flower stamp
