Mini Happy Holidays Card for Mom

This card base is an upcycled thank you card from my Mom’s funeral memorial. It sounds morbid but my Mom would have liked that I was using them. The size is smaller 3.5 x 5 and it has dry embossing around the edges that I lightly inked with distress ink. To explain this card I’m going to start with closest layer to the card, which is a Creative Memories journal card. On top of that is blue cardstock followed by a card from a Craft Smith paper pad. I didn’t like the sentiment so I covered it up with a stamped sentiment. I’m happy with how it turned out. I have a few cards using similar products that I have to watermark. Thanks so much for taking a look at my blog.

Upcycled Christmas Cards

I used store-bought cards on all of the cards in today's post. With this wreath card, I used Craft Smith patterned paper behind the image.

The ornament image in this card below is from a store-bought card. The word peace is a die-cut by Clearly Besotted. The ampere symbol is a sticker by Tim Holtz and the word love is a sticker as well.

Then these last two use old paper by Die Cuts with a View, gold paper by Creative Memories, and a sentiment generated by a computer.

Thanks for looking.

Online Card Class Inlay Die Cutting technique -Christmas Quilt square cards

The Online Card class Day 2 Inlay Die Cutting technique. I've wanted to use this large die for a while and this was the perfect opportunity.

This is the card I made with the bottom right square.
The sentiment is a stencil with embossed paste. And then the border is by Creative Memories.

I had some scraps of the tree paper that I put on card bases to get them out of the way.
As I was going outside to take pictures and I thought, maybe these backgrounds would work with the quilt square.

They did look nice.

But now to choose. Or go into the stacks and tote of Christmas paper and maybe find the same paper. I can't help but think of the mess I would make. I'm going to hold off for now.

I had this square already cut out. The patterned paper is Houndstooth. I filled in the rest with scraps. Then I found these adhesive squares to place around the outside squares. They are by Recollections.

This is the card I made with the brown square.

Dan and Gabe Christmas card 2020

I have another Gabe scrapbook layout for today. It is a before and after layout.
I used jute by Tim Holtz. I  wrapped it around the corners of the 2020 paper. I then used foam adhesive behind that piece.

The 2020 are Quickutz dies
The green foliage on the second layout, is a die-cut by Gina Marie

The tree patterned paper is by Craft Smith. The center stripes paper is a Bazzill 6x6 and then the reddish background paper is unknown. It’s old.

I decided to add his age to the Christmas card layouts.
Stamped letters in the circle is by Lawn Fawn.

1967 brick numbering layout

Here’s another layout for the family album.
I cut the oval out with my Creative Memories cutting system out of white cardstock.
The red patterned paper on the left is by Deja Views
The brick dry embossed background paper is by Craft Smith (Michael’s)
The manufacturer of the brick numbers was torn off.

I used my Cricut to cut out the floral die-cut and the layered rectangle with rounded edges.
I cut the floral die-cut out of off-white cardstock and used distress ink and distress oxide to give it color.
Afterward, I gave it a spritz of Ranger’s gold mist. I love the way it makes everything sparkle and how it gives the leaves a little bit of mottling. (That’s a new word Ali taught me;)

These pictures were my inspiration for the gnome card.
The flowers in the background look like they’re being held up by a lattice
The other thing for the card was the brick flower box

Here is a link to the gnome card

Forever in our Hearts Bright sympathy cards

I made a few not your normal sympathy cards. The colors are kind of bright. I'm not sure if that's good or bad but any card you send someone will be appreciated.

I used stamps for the sentiment by Stampibilities
The heart dies I bought off of eBay.
They were cut out of DCWV glittery paper.
The red paper behind it is by Craft Smith.
I sprayed it with Perfect pearls gold
Border punch by Fiskars
The patterned paper is by Elle's Studio

The second card is on kraft cardstock
The ribbon is old and I can't remember who it's by. Maybe Prima? Shout out if you know.
The die-cut by Spellbinders
The Forever sticker is by ha, Forever in Time.
I added a few red heart rhinestones.

Today I have a Christmas card. The gold background is a mat for an old photo with Craft Smith tree paper on top. The bell itself is one I didn't stamp or color. I received it from someone. The star like die cut behind it is by Spellbinders and the sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Cross Thank You Card

I made a thank you card on for this lovely Thanksgiving day. I hope you like it.

The background paper is by Craft Smith/Michael's. It has a cool embossed texture to it that I really like. I die cut the ribbon with my Cricut from the CM Tags and Frames cartridge out of this green cardstock from my stash. The sentiment and cross are by a company no longer in business but I stamped them with SU brown ink and circle punched it out with an EK Success punch. I then punched a larger circle in brown to go behind it. The bottom of the card is a canvas background stamp by SU in brown ink. I used the other half of this piece HERE. The jute is from my stash.

Have a great Thanksgiving and thanks for looking.

Utah Family

I made this LO using a sketch from A Cherry on Top. You can see it at the bottom of this post. I had to alter it a bit because my photo is bigger but hopefully you can see the resemblance.

The gold foil patterned paper is by Me and My Big Ideas and the red tree patterned paper is by Craft Smith {sold at Michael's}. The pearlized paper is from my mom's stash that I recently acquired and I used it under the red tree paper, for the tab, and for the circle outline. The circle outline and word bubble that the word family is in were cut out using my Cricut and the George cartridge. The round word bubble is from Cutting Up and the tab is by Art Philosophy. I used gold letter stickers for the date and chipboard letter stickers for the word Utah. For some reason the A in Utah isn't showing up on the photos but in real life it is there.

The word Family is a set of alphabet stamps by Hero Arts that I stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. The red epoxy stickers came from a sticker pack by Jolee's/EK Success and the stamps of the black dots is from the same alphabet stamp as mentioned previously with Hero Arts black ink.
