Gift of Friendship

It is time for the reveal of the cards sent in November at The Card Chain Challenge.   I have created a card that was sent to Annerieke in The Netherlands:

These were the prompts that we were given:

I incorporated the sketch, some of the colours, stars, friendship, glitter and aperture into the card I sent.

Thinking Of You

We are having a weird weather day today.  It is alternating between the sun shining and then pouring with rain.  It's like it changes it's mind every 5 minutes.

I have used digital papers from Create with TLC (dots one) and Sweetly Scrapped (striped ones) to create the background using the Scrappy Strip Technique.    The image is from Morgan's Art World and the sentiment is from Digital Doodling.  Colouring is with copic markers and Wink of Stella.

Hi There!

This month, our challenge at NZ Cardmakers was to create a Recessed Panel Card.  I had never done one of these before but this was so much fun and alot easier than I thought it would be so I can see me making more of these.  The ATC card base on the right is for the next challenge - we have still to find out what we have to do with it.  My recipient will be working with this one and I have one from the person who sent me a Recessed Panel Card to work with.

I followed a tutorial for a recessed panel card which can be found here.

I have used a digital paper from Sweetly Scrapped.  The sentiment is from Desert Diva.  I embossed the white cardstock with an embossing folder.  I also added some die-cut leaves and a pre-cut flower.

You Know You're Old when....

... You start singing along with the elevator music.   Because you can almost guarantee that the elevator music is really old!

I thought she had this really unamused look on her face so this sentiment was perfect.

I have used a digital paper from Sweetly Scrapped.  The image is from Oddball Art Company and I'm not sure of the digital sentiment.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I added a leaf spray and a flower embellishment.

Fly Butterfly Fly

I was struggling a bit both time wise and inspiration wise for the Butterfly Challenge.  In the end, I decided to do more of a CAS approach that uses all seven elements.  The papers are both from my "Awaiting Crafting" boxes so I'm making some more progress there.

I followed the tutorial for Rocker Card 1 at Butterfly Challenge.  I had difficulty finding a circle die large enough and something round that wasn't too large to cut the circle.  I ended up using the following die and turning it around to trace it.

Here is the CAS card using all seven elements:
Butterfly
Rocker Card
Riffle  Green - Background paper and ribbon
Raspberry - Polka dot paper on circle
Rajah - Butterfly
Ribbon - around circle
Raised Up - Butterfly

I wasn't sure how clear the "Raised Up" was in the above photo so I took another one from the side:

The digital papers used are both from my Awaiting Crafting Box and have been there for some time.  As a result, I am not sure of the source of the polka dot one but I had written Sweetly Scrapped on the reverse of the green one.

The butterfly is from an embellishment pack.  It wasn't quite the right colour so I added some more colour using a copic marker.  I added some green organza ribbon for the butterfly to be flying over.

I have used a paper from Sweetly Scrapped for the background of this card.  The black mesh ribbon I purchased last week but not sure of the brand as it was sold by the metre.  The image is from Nutcrafters and coloured with copic markers B23, BV17, B18, E00, E25, E21, G02.
