Happy Pumpkin Day

I am a bit late with this post.  I thought I had posted it at the beginning of the month but it managed to stay in draft.  Today was the first day that I have gone back to write another post and saw it still in Drafts.

This month at Incy Wincy Designs, the theme is Autumn and/or More Than One Fold.   I decided to do both an autumn card and a card with more than one fold.  This is a fold that I learned at the Stress Free Cardmakers Summit.

This picture gives a better view of the top fold and the side fold.

I have used some digital papers from PixelScrapper.  The image is from Designed 2 Delight and the sentiment is from Create with TLC.  Colouring is with copic markers.

I would like to enter:

will add challenges later

Spring Baskets

This has been a month where I have struggled to get cards completed.  However, I really wanted to finish this one:

This card is for the challenges at:
Designed to Delight - Spring Baskets

Crafting for All Seasons - Spring into Spring
http://craftingforallseasons.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/challenge-47-spring-into-spring.html
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes
http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.gr/2013/03/challenge-52-anything-goes.html

I have used a lovely paper from The Mariposa Matstack by DCWV.  The image is from Designed to Delight.  I have used one of my new Marianne's dies to cut the butterfly from some glittery foam sheets.  I wasn't sure how that would work as I usually use cardstock or paper.  It cut beautifully so I think I'll be trying that again!

Birthday Tweet

The new image from Designed to Delight has been received and I was eager to get crafting with it.  This is my tweet little birthday card:

Details of the challenge can be found here:

While you are there you might like to check out the sock monsters in the next post.  I think they are fabulous.
I have also entered this card in the challenge at Tuesday Alchemy:

Now back to the card:
I have used some background paper from a Glitz paper pad.  This was left over from a class I did at a craft expo back in July.  It just had the right amount of elegance for this image.  The image is the free December image from Designed to Delight which I have coloured with my copic markers.  The die-cut used is a Spellbinders Labels.

Embellishments for this card include some flower parts (coloured with copics), some silver ribbon roses (again coloured with copics!) and some pearls.

Balloon Bouquet

I was really drawn to these two papers and have used them to create a card with a much softer colour palette.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sweet Sketch Wednesday- Sketch

The sketch that I have rotated is this one:

The papers that I have used come from a paper pack by Glitz.  I usually layer the top background paper onto cardstock and then onto the bottom background paper.  This week I decided that I would use peelcraft stickers for the red border on the sketch.  I have used some gold glitter tape from American Crafts.  I found a packet of silver glittery ribbon roses that I thought would look nice on cards as embellishments.  However, the silver clashed with the colours on the card so I got out my copic markers and coloured it.  It now matches the flowers in the background paper.  I have used copic markers C1 and R02 for the colouring.  The image is from Designed 2 Delight and is called Balloon Bouquet.

Snowman Christmas

A lovely christmas card this time featuring a snowman.

The card follows the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday:

The background papers for this card are from Bearly Mine Designs.  I have matted the layer between with silver pearlised cardstock.  The ribbon is a recent purchase - went into the shop to get something else and came out with a pack of Christmas ribbons.  Hey, it did have 24 different christmas ribbons in the pack and the price was good too!

The image that I have used is the one for the challenge at Designed 2 Delight.

Because I wanted to show off the ribbon that I bought I kept trying to find small embellishments so that it didn't get hidden.  I was going to use some small buttons but even then they started overshadowing the ribbon!  In the end, I settled for these buckles that I bought the die-cut for at my card workshop last weekend.  They are a Memory Box die and come in a set of three buckles.  This is the middle sized one of the set.  I die cut them out of some green glitter cardstock and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.  Because they are quite open they have allowed the ribbon to have a bit more of the spotlight!  I also extended the ribbon to the edges of the card to give it a little more prominence.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
