 Hello friends!  I was happy to spend a little inky time this weekend after watching Melissa's Make it Monday video.  Oh, I just adore her shabby chic style.  So I channeled my inner Melissa and made this darling wreath card. I don't have that PTI wreath die so I die cut a bunch of leaf branches out of SB sleeves and layered them together!  I thought it only fitting to use her Choose Joy set for the sentiment :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Verve's October Mini Release Spotlight Hop

Welcome to Verve's October Mini Release Spotlight Hop! There's something new in the Verve shop today and we're celebrating with a blog hop. Along the hop you'll see the Divas' first looks at the new Autumn Leaves stamp set and Falling Leaves die set.

If you're a long time visitor of my blog, you'll know that I have mixed emotions about Fall and Winter.  I miss the freshness of Spring and the lazy days of summer.  As much as I love my job, this time of year is exhausting herding small children back into the school year.  AND I don't do well in cold weather. LOL.  However, as the years pass, I have grown to love this time of year with all it's glorious colours, smells, and textures.  I love the coziness of blankets and sweaters and the first fire in the fireplace (happened last month actually!).  I love field trips to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch and I love when Julee puts together the sweetest fall stamp set complete with pumpkins and maple leaves that make this Canadian Diva's heart swoon and thump!   So with all those images and feelings, I created this "Thankful for You" card complete with some sweet pumpkins and neutral layers.

Hi friends!  It's Canadian Thanksgiving so I have had some blissful time in the studio this weekend.  Having Monday off means I was able to play along with PTI's Make it Monday on Monday!  Dawn is inspiring us to make a window card so here's my take.  Hopefully I'm not encouraging the snow to come anytime soon.  HA!  Thanks for stopping by :)

Hello Pumpkin ~ The Card Concept

Oh, my, I could stare at this mantle ALL DAY LONG!   I had a little pumpkin paper scrap that I couldn't throw away so it found it's way onto my shabby chic card.  My little blue pumpkin is a nod to the bluey-silver pumpkin I found last year at a fruit stand.  This may very well be the card I send to the sweet owners of the pumpking patch I take my class to each year :)  I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!

Salted Caramel Wishes ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Okay, I am always inspired by coffee!  LOL  We just had National Coffee Day and today we celebrate International Coffee Day!  I find this kind of interesting...do we really need a day to celebrate coffee?!  I celebrate it everyday!  I will have the odd iced coffee in the heat of the summer, but this gal is a hot coffee girl through and through.  So with fall here and hot coffee on my mind (and in my cup as I type this post), I found some gorgeous patterned paper in my Autumn Day pad by PhotoPlay.  Then I die cut some digital images from Verve's Coffee Please digital set along with one little "from me to you" which was a Verve digital freebie last February.  I added a little wooden heart to complete the neutral, coffee coloured look :)  Oh my, I need a refill! HA!
